Intro:
The opening bout of tonight's Boxermania card sees Taryn Terrell and Celeste Bonin AKA Kaitlyn swap fists for a third time in their careers.
Taryn Terrell is 32 years old, stands 5'6 and holds a record of 11 wins, all by knockout and 7 defeats.
While Celeste Bonin is 31 years old, stands 5'5 and holds a record of 0 wins and 3 defeats.
Charly Caruso keeps watch for the girls as they head into the Superdome in New Orleans, first to arrive is the hometown girl Taryn.
She smiles warmly to Charly as she walks in with her training bag over her shoulder, stopping to say to the interviewer "what a beautiful day right?" Getting a nod off Charly.
"I get to fight in front of my fans, friends and family will be sitting ringside, hell I class Celeste as a good friend but once in that ring, there is no mercy; she has two big guns for arms but I'm the quick slicing knife that will finish her off before she gets me" nodding to Charly as she heads off to the locker room.
Celeste arrives not long later, she has a wheeled luggage with her gear in, she tells the reporter "to think, a year ago I sat in the front row of this event, I got to see my best friend AJ Lee beat Alexa Bliss to a pulp and I got to hug her in the ring"
Her smile turns more serious as she adds "this past year, hell last two have been terrible, I had personal problems that are well documented and the ring in any form was in the back of my mind, now though I am back wrestling and boxing thanks to AJ and I have to say Taryn"
Finishing with a smirk "tonight though Taryn, it is just you, me and that crowd that loves you, I promise to give you a hug when I'm done with you"
Fire works go off in the arena as the crowd goes wild, Boxermania 2 officially begins now!
"Hot mess" blasts through the sound systems and the noise of this sold out crowd nearly drowns the theme song out!
Taryn steps out wearing her gold cross sports bra, matching coloured mini trunks, gloves and her golden locks are free.
The announcer shouts "from New Orleans" which gets a loud roar "she weighed in tonight at 114lbs, she is a former FCBA JMD champion; TARYN TERRELL!"
The blonde bombshell jogs to the ring, high fiving young fans in the front row, before climbing into the ring and heading to her corner, where her coach Lauren Berlingeri and cut woman Eva Carneiro stand.
Now "Higher" is being played with people starting to boo, signalling the arrival of Celeste, who flexes at the top of the large ramp, she smiles to show the boos are not getting to her and begins her walk down to the ring.
"From Houston, Texas, she weighed in at 119lbs pounds, CELESTE BONIN!" With the crowd booing all the way.
Celeste soon climbs into the ring, her attire tonight is a light blue sports bra, matching short trunks, shoes and gloves, her brunette hair is free too.
Being brought to the ring center, for all their friendship, the looks both women are giving each other are of someone wanting to take the others head off.
Asked to touch gloves, the fighters lighten their looks for a moment to touch gloves and wish the other good luck, before they head to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Off out come the fighters, both women look a little tentative as they start off trading single jabs at first, maybe trying to get their heads into the idea of hammering each other into submission.
It's Celeste who seems to find the nerve after a double jab peppers her face, coming at Taryn with a straight and a left cross that shoves her back.
Taryn trying to get back at Celeste quickly with two cross punches, with both women starting to unshackle themselves as they trade more on the inside.
It proves not a smart move from Taryn as Celeste backs her up with thudding punches into her face, driving Taryn back onto her backfoot and behind her guard.
Taryn's guard nearly slams back into her face as she has to retreat and use her footwork to get out the way of her stronger opponent.
Celeste tries to keep the pressure on; Taryn though is more on her bike, moving around her opponent as both trade punches between the others mitts to their faces.
Late in the round; Celeste misses with a right hook and gets hit with two body shots and a left hits the underside of Bonin's jugs.
The bell rings with both women nodding with small smiles on their face as they jog past each other to get back to their corners.
Celeste looking content as she sits on her stool knowing she has probably won the round, while she sees Taryn not looking bothered across the ring, making her smile as she they want to put on a good show.
Round 2:
Back out they come, Taryn wisely learning from the first round, as both fighters trade; the taller blonde starts to move more on the outside, forcing the more flat footed Celeste have to chase after Taryn.
Who slips under two hooks aimed at her head, Taryn continuing with her body shots, looking to wear out the more muscular opponent.
But Celeste does manage to catch Taryn with a right across her jug, nodding at her to tell her that's payback for the shot she took earlier in the fight.
Both mark up the others face with stiff shots, till Celeste again misses as Taryn leans out the way of a straight, parrying a left cross and again works the body as she moves around her.
Taryn just out boxing Celeste as her head movement and smarts is allowing her to keep working the body, making Celeste groan out but taps her abs as of to say keep trying.
Which Taryn does as she takes a few glancing shots to the top of her head, before slipping inside to land two thudding shots to either side of her opponent's body to make her gasp out.
But she doesn't get out in time as Celeste catches her with a straight on her nose and a left cross, with Celeste trying to finish the round strongly as she comes forwards.
Forcing Taryn to trade more closer; with both groaning as they trade till the bell rings, both head back to their corners with more determined looks on their face.
Both sitting down and getting cleaned up as they have their faces marked up; Celeste's abs though are starting to have a pink hue on.
Round 3:
Both fighters start trading as they circle, Celeste trying to step up her own tempo with three punches knocking Taryn onto her back foot.
She misses with a follow up left cross; with Taryn countering with a straight off the chin of her opponent, before landing a left under the ribs to make her wince.
Taryn gets caught with a left across her cheek as she tries to slip outside of Celeste's reach, Celeste herself coming forwards to pound the guard of Terrell.
But Taryn slips under a left hook though as Celeste again looks for the finishing shot too early, a missed uppercut by Celeste leaves her open to a straight on her cheek and again a left to that rib.
Celeste starts to wince more as her body is taking the brunt of Taryn's attacks after she misses, her breathing is starting to get heavier.
Taryn notices it and steps up the tempo by throwing more punches in her combos, forcing Celeste back behind het guard as seconds tick away in the round.
It's not long till the bell rings with Taryn simply turning her back on Celeste, showing she is in her no mercy mode now.
Celeste sitting on her stool trying to fuel her body of air, her coach telling her that she needs to finish this early herself as she is clearly not going to win the long struggle.
While in the other corner; Taryn smirks as she chats with Lauren and Eva, not needing much done to her as she chats away with no real work needed to be done on her.
Round 4:
Celeste tries to get into the face of Taryn early, but she doesn't seem to have the pop to her punches as before, leading to her opponent ducking and dodging around her with relative ease.
Taryn slips under a jab and digs her right twice under the ribs of Celeste, who seems to be curling around the punches, her face grimacing now each time she is hit.
A right smacks into her stomach and Celeste looks winded, that ring rust with the body work is doing a number on her, she is looking worn out as Taryn now looks like a predator with blood on their teeth.
Taryn parrying shots away as Celeste tries to fight off the back foot, with the taller fighter landing the cleaner shots to the face of Bonin to back her up.
A right rips it's way under the ribs of Celeste again, making her cry out and look venerable as Taryn continues to beat her to the body and drives her onto the ropes.
Celeste forced to clinch up; pulling Taryn in tight to make sure she can't land any punches, with Terrell working hard to break free, needing the referee to step in though to pry them apart.
The last 30 seconds of the round sees Celeste stuck behind her guard, mouth open as she sucks in air, Taryn banging away at the guard, the bell rings though before she can break it open.
Back to their corners they go; Celeste admits to her coach "I don't remember this being as hard" smiling a little as she continues to try to get her second wind.
While Taryn has snake eyes for her friend, this is purely business right now and Lauren and Eva do their best to keep her at peak condition for the fight.
Round 5:
Celeste decides to try to catch Taryn coming in, she is able to land a few stiff straight punches to Terrell's face as the slightly older fighter comes forwards.
A missed straight though leaves her open, TARYN LANDS TWO HARD LIVER PUNCHES AND DOWN TO ALL FOURS GOES CELESTE!
The count begins 1..2....3... Celeste has her forehead touching the canvas 4...5....6....7 the gumshield then comes out 8...9....10 and soon she is counted out!

Winner Taryn Terrell KO Round 5

After:
Taryn kicks off Boxermania with a big win for her career, but all that's on her mind is to check on Celeste, rushing across the ring to kneel down beside her and checks on her.
It takes a few moments for Celeste to get enough air back into her body to sit up straight on her own knees, her arms cradle her body and she is still red faced from the crippling liver shots.
Taryn pulls her own gloves off and says "I hope you are going to be OK, I didn't want to hurt you badly" as she looks guilty for having Celeste wincing as she moves.
She helps Celeste up; who after finally getting her breath back replies "I'll be OK babe, I guess fighting you in my comeback wasn't my smartest decision was it?" Cracking a smile as Taryn looks thankful that Celeste isn't too upset by the defeat.
The victor putting her arm around Celeste's shoulder and jokingly saying "well you had to learn the hardway again, hopefully I don't have to teach you again"
With Celeste replying "I don't know about that" with both warmly smiling at each other, before Taryn helps Celeste to her stool.
Soon AJ Lee rushes from backstage, sliding into the ring and checking on Celeste, asking a dozen questions as she is worried for her best friend.
Taryn looks to head to her corner, but after AJ gets the "I'm OK" from Celeste, the little fighter taps Taryn on her shoulder and says "I should take you down and slap you around for hurting Celeste, but she says you're OK and you didn't hurt her badly, so... Thanks"
"She's my friend too remember" replies Taryn, as clearly AJ and her are not going to be best friends themselves, just nodding at each other as if to say they understand each other.
AJ tries to help Celeste out the ring, but it's Bonin's coach who helps her out as she's too big for AJ to act like a crutch for.
The crowd gives Celeste a round of applause for her effort, though she will have to work hard to make this comeback worthwhile or struggle as her career did before her break.
While in the ring; Taryn beams her pearly white smile to the fans as she heads to her corner, in a real good mood as she thanks Lauren, who she has had problems with in the past, before thanking Eva too.
She seems to be taking the whole coach aspect of her Girls Friday contract more serious nowadays but maybe these Boxermania cards are going to be her jam in future, or could a return to JMD be in order?
For now as she leaves the ring and high fives fans on her way up the ramp, she is just excited to be back in the winners circle and will hope to see Celeste later.
