Intro:
The next bout on tonight's Boxermania 2 card in the Superdome in New Orleans, sees Gail Kim step foot into the ring against AJ Lee.
Gail Kim is 41 years old, stands 5'4 and holds a record of 1 win by knockout and 5 defeats.
AJ Lee is 30 years old, stands 5'3 and holds a record of 5 wins, all by knockout and 2 defeats.
Charly catches up with Gail in a interview backstage, Gail with her black hood over her head and her fists taped up black.
"So AJ wants to step foot into the ring where I made my name and I revolutionized wrestling, hell she wants to box with me, be careful what you ask for" she cryptically says as she heads off to get ready to fight.
AJ on the other hand in her locker room looks her usual self, that disarming smile with eyes that tell a different story.
"Did you know it's my birthday in 3 days?" Asks AJ as Charly simply nods in reply and looks confused where this is going.
"Well what a gift it will be to kick a legend like Gail's ass all around New Orleans, I mean Celeste can kick her around too if she wants when I'm done" with AJ grinning at Charly, who just smiles and backs away, knowing AJ has another side to her that certainly isn't friendly.
Fighting time; the lights go out and then "puppets on a string" plays and the lights come to see Gail crouching on the top of the ramp, before popping up and flipping her hood off her head.
Gail heads down the ring with her arms out to her side as she gets loud cheers, the announcer shouting "from Toronto! She weighed in at 104lbs; this is Gail Kim!"
Stepping into the ring; she climbs the middle ropes and waves the crowd to stand up and cheer, before she poses with her arms out to the side.
Jumping back down, her coach for tonight Imogen Thomas puts her black gloves on, the rest of her attire is a black sports bra, trunks and thigh high wrestling boots.
"Let's light it up" starts up and out slipping comes AJ, the petite fighter waves to the fans as she goes and looks to be excited by the atmosphere in the arena.
The announcer shouts "from New Jersey, weighing 103lbs, AJ Lee!" With the crowd roaring her on.
With AJ sliding into the ring, she is wearing her trademark black widow design on her tank top that shows her impressive abs off, jean shorts, thigh high baseball style boots and her coach Gwen Stefani puts on her black gloves.
The fighters are brought to the ring centre, with both looking each other down with cocky look, the crowd seeming split as both are loved by wrestling fans.
Asked to touch gloves, they do as told with no incident and jog back to their corners, both are ready to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters; both testing each other early with their jabs, several punches digging into the others face as they dance around each other.
As AJ tries to push the pace; Gail moves back, counter punching the younger woman with her punches catching Lee on her face as she stays to the outside.
Gail starts off the stronger with her counters keeping AJ off base, a confident smirk crosses the lips of the Canadian star.
But AJ seems to work it out, feinting with a left; parrying the straight that was aimed for her face and lands a left hook to knock Kim onto her heels.
AJ piles the pressure on her opponent by sending a flurry of punches aimed at the head of Gail, who covers up and retreats into space.
Gail does come back at AJ; leading to a classic flyweight exchange, heads down and letting their hands go as they try to shove each other onto the back foot.
Gasps and groans escape the petite warriors lips as they focus on the others body, till they shove each other back and take a second to reset.
The last few seconds of the round sees the fighters trading stiff straight punches through the others mitts to their face.
The bell rings with both girls heading back to their corners looking cool and confident, each having good moments in the round.
Round 2:
Back out come the fighters; Gail sticking to the outside of the ring and keeping AJ back as she digs away at the head of her opponent, who has her guard up more tighter to block said shots.
AJ tries to come out her shell; swings a left cross that misses as Gail leans out the way, landing two punches to her opponents face.
Gail knocking AJ back behind her guard and pounds away at it, she starts to come on the front foot as she clearly has the confidence that she has her opponent under control as she backs her up.
The smaller fighter dips under a left hook and comes up with an overhand right that cracks Gail across the top of her head, rocking Kim back a step.
AJ gets into the face of Gail; forcing Gail to have to fight in tight, till a left cross catches Gail to shove her onto her heels.
The American drives Gail onto the ropes, with Gail covering up as AJ starts to pound away at the face of the former TNA star.
Sweat flying off Gail's head; Gail clinching up with AJ, both grappling on the ropes as they bump heads and spit insults till the referee splits them up.
Gail fights off the back foot for the last 30 seconds of the round, both drilling straight punches into the others face to continue marking them up.
The bell rings with Gail shaking her head on the way back to her corner, Imogen washing her down and telling her "keep her on the defensive! If you let her off the hook you are going to be in trouble" with Gail not looking happy at that piece of advice.
While Gwen looks happy with AJ; whispering to her what she is going to do in the next round, nodding at each other as AJ gets up ready to fight.
Round 3:
Gail again works on the outside, trying hard to keep AJ back but is finding the gloves of the younger fighter as moves under several punches.
Soon she comes up with an overhand right that catches Gail on her temple and a left cross that makes the older star stumble back.
A RIGHT AND LEFT HOOK ACROSS THE CHIN OF GAIL MAKES HER LEGS CRUMBLE AND KNOCKS HER TO HER BACK!
The referee begins counting 1...2...3...4... Gail stirs as she looks up at AJ 5...6...7 but her eyes look glazed 8..9...10 and she is done!

Winner AJ Lee KO Round 3

After:
Well AJ gets her early birthday gift, she skips around the ring to celebrate as Gail just lays back and stares at the ring lights.
Imogen rushing in to check on Gail, whose saying "what the f*** was that!" As Gail turns to look at her, rubbing her jaw as she is feeling the knockout.
AJ gets her gloves taken off and gives Gwen a big hug, telling her "thank you for the support" as the Holloway girls beam over the victory.
She doesn't see Imogen grab her by the hair and pull her back, big mistake as AJ turns around and smashes a forearm across the big jugs of the Welsh lass to back her up.
Imogen swinging a right hook that AJ slips under and turns around, drop kicking Imogen down to her back, before Imogen gets up and AJ locks on the black widow. (octopus stretch)
The crowd cheering as AJ can be heard laughing loudly, Imogen falling to her knees and soon passes out, meaning AJ has knocked out both Kear's Kat's girls tonight.
She releases Imogen at the behest of the referee, her eyes have that crazed look as she stares down at Imogen, medics rush in to check on both her victims tonight.
Gwen seems to knock her out of her mindset by saying "AJ?" With the young woman turning to her and grinning in reply.
Gail and Imogen are both helped out the ring by medics to the locker rooms, with some of the crowd chuckling at their misfortune tonight.
In the ring AJ continues to celebrate by waving to the crowd and saying "thank you" as she does a lap, before leaving the ring to go see her best friend Celeste Bonin, with plans for a long birthday bash for her with this setting her good mood up for it.
