TESS VALMORE
SWIFT/LAWRENCE At the end of 2016, I named Taylor Swift as the lightweight of the year. This year I made a comment that I thought she had been fighting over her abilities. One reader seemed to find those comments as being contradictory. The 2016 comments were based solely on activity and results. The 2017 comment was strictly opinion. I see no contradiction. Now we have Taylor going in the undercard to the champion fight. She faces Lawrence. Swift’s activity took a nose dive this year. She had only five fights, only one against an A list opponent. She lost the bout. Lawrence had a poor 2017. She lost three of five fights after being upset by a bantam in the December PPV. Her two wins were over the same fighter, Peregrym. On paper, win/loss wise, Swift should be favored. I have to go with Lawrence to win. She needs it to survive the sinking of Miss Ginny's ship. Lawrence by a KO
KERR/JENNER I have to give Jenner credit. She is taking on a very dangerous opponent. One reader recently pointed out that I hadn’t made a recent comment about her being in my Daily Mail No Talent Index. My opinion hasn’t changed and is well known. No need to pound it out Ad nauseam. She had a sensational 2017 and was our Lightweight Of The Year. Kerr also had a fine 2017 going undefeated in eight fights including a win over Jenner. In fact, she had beaten Jenner in the two times they have fought. Jenner is quite a bit younger and a little bigger. It hasn’t helped her in the past. I am going with Kerr to take the title. You Jenner fans, take heart. My record in predicting title fights is not good
