Before: “Remember me? I was the girl beat Kate Upton to a crown! The first woman born in the nineties to claim a major title! I was the one they passed the torch to!” Kelly Rohrbach is obviously feeling a little bit left behind with all the attention being laid to younger title hokders like Upton, Kylie Jenner and stablemate Hannah Ferguson. (Note: This isn’t quite true. Jenette Mccurdy born in 1992, acquired the JMD title in February 2016, almost four months before Kelly claimed the Ice Hotel in June. She did acquire her first title before Kate won the inaugural JMDD tournament in August, however) “Addy did fine against the old warhorses, but put her in with someone who doesn’t remember disco, and down she goes! This fight won’t be any different!”
Capping a 2017 for the record books, Adriana decides to let her actions speak for her. Advancing up to Kelly, who stands up as she looms over her, Lima takes a rude grasp of the front of Rohrbach’s trainers and tugs her-to: long, deep, throaty kiss so hard and meanspirited the two beauties’ teeth click together. Crowd murmuring and applauding as Adriana stays glued on for what seems like forever - Kelly forcing herself to remain calm, hands at her sides, refusing to flinch. Lima finally pulls back, wipes her lips while staring malevolently into Rohrbach's eyes: blonde sullen, glaring back, showing no signs of punk as crowd erupts into spontaneous, applause.
Kelly enters the ring first wearing a black leather slingshot with the back tied around her waist, black suede thigh-high moccasins, hair back in a loose battle pony, black gloves. The Queen enters in her traditional grey chinchilla bikini and gloves, hair loose and wild, cascading down her back, shoulders and breasts.
R1: First minute pressure from Adriana, but Kelly showing how far she’s come in a year and a half. She would have been backing straight up, now she's pivoting to the side, turning Lima, preventing her from getting into that lashing rhythm. Rohrbach using her legs, drawing out the Queen's rushes, tamping her down with the jab, slowly imposing some order and keeping Adriana at arm’s reach. Final minute, Kelly in control, banging away jabs to chest and face, setting down on whistling right crosses at the bell,
R2: Adriana adjusts, dukes up at her eyebrows, jutting out a stubby jab as she scoots forward, bending in to pull the right hand over top, bending right to club the left hook--she's backing Kelly to the ropes and simply outworking her girl in the trenches. Rohrbach composed against the strands, gloves at her cheeks, bent forward at the waist--she's bobbing punches, trying to come up underneath with little fishhook uppercuts to the chest and chin. Nice banging two-way trade—Lima more than happy to take a shot on approach in order to swing away--she's bashing blonde flank, getting the odd clout to jaw as she keeps Kelly pinned to the rope
R3: Adriana’s been working over the top with chopping strokes--now she mixes it up, coming off the head to dig hooks to the liver on occasion and Kelly doesn't like it. Midway through, Lima backing Rohrbach up, jams a short right hand to the jaw, ducks in close on follow through and gets reefing leverage on a left in under the elbow that has the blonde paralyzed. Adriana bodies up, knuckling her girl in the shoulders to get Kelly baby stepping backward wading into her with barroom lefts and rights as the challenger wilts to the ropes. Rohrbach's right at her left cheek, left across her body--eyes dim. face blank as Lima goes to work. Big brunette scrub down, Adriana working Kelly over in the last minute, fists shaking the blonde upon impact and leaving her destitute at the bell.
R4: Kelly shows heart & class, Adriana storming out to end things, runs into a series of jab/right hands--Queen rejected on repeated attempts on the inside, growing increasingly ramshackle as she stubbornly tries to kick in the front door. Rohrbach able to hang back, get her jab out, line her up and CLOCK Lima stout right hands on the jaw--by the midway point, brunette's wobbly butt, a year of title fights have her overestimating her ability to ship these clean haymakers. Kelly on the outside circling right, positioning Adriana with the jab, and laying into searing rights on occasion--it's target practice and it leaves both fighters shabby, lumped up after only 4 rounds.
R4: Chests heaving all ‘, frantic corner work during the intervals, Adriana getting through with sauce, stubby jab answers Kelly’s classy stick, blonde‘s rhythm broken and Lima’s getting over with jagged right&lefts on the jaw, moving in tough with her head, hooking hard to ribcage. Rohrbach to the ropes, palming brunette shoulders, trying to spin off, but Adriana’s been here before, keeping challenger pinned. Lima choking off avenues of escape, pounding away on the ribcage, Rohrbach increasingly desperate, looking to clinch as Queen bangs away. Adriana brawling her way through Kelly’s arms, hammering the ribcage, shoving and mauling--she turns on a bashing right to the chin that sits her blonde dazed on the ropes. Lima piling on, lands a few clubbing lefts and rights to the top of the heads as Kelly lolls hurt at the bell.
R5: Kelly snarling, she knows she has to get Adriana’s respect to keep the Queen off her. Motoring right, on springy legs, stepping in and out, gets Lima coming forward and NAILS her a beautiful hesitation right hand on the chin that puts brunette butt a-wobble. Rohrbach patient with her prey--sees Adriana hurt, but stays outside, pounding back the face with straight sticks, sliding around the Queen’s right shoulder and looking for more precision right hands as Lima turns groggily to stay square. Adriana stubbornly coming forward, getting marked up, but down the stretch--she chops a short right out of the high guard, hops in close to tap the chin with a left uppercut, then SINKS that signature whipsaw left hook to liver. Kelly shouting in pain, turning away to collapse against the ropes, agonizing gut shot leaves the blonde weeping at bell. Lima unable to capitalize, bent over gloves on knees, raven locks plastered to her back.
R6: Kelly dries her eyes, knows this fight is slipping away--she hardens her heart to get after it. Pounding one-twos straight up the middle, mopping up a licking hook under Adriana’s raised right elbow, Queen’s shipped a lot of hard leather, starts to show signs of wear. Midway through, Rohrbach circling right, hooks Lima’s tits, leans into a slashing right to beat brunette’s cross and ADRIANA’S HURT! Lima’s right sailing--SHE corkscrews limp against the ropes, but this time Rohrbach has a minute left to work her girl over. Brawny on the ropes, Kelly shouldering in the jab, tilting Adriana backwards, then lashing at the midriff with vicious rights and lefts. Lima weak kneed at the bell, but shaking her head “no” at seething challenger.
R8: Adriana catches a second wind, really takes it to Kelly bell to bell. Rohrbach unable to come forward, can’t extend--she’s pressed ropeside, leaning back, gloves up, trying to block the incoming, Lima crouching forward, dipping side to side, pulling in compact wallop from either mitt, driving into the challenger with her shoulder to stack the blonde up, then digging furiously amidships when in tight. Ref issuing breaks, Adriana wading back in to keep the pressure on--not pretty, but it’s good, effective mauling. Lima blocked upstairs for the most part, but she’s savaging Rohrbach to the hips, waist and ribs--good, good body work done by hungry Queen this round.
R9: Digging beat down issued, Adriana laying in strong, palming the hips or arms of her girl, then ripping either hand to the midsection. Kelly unable to punch at this point, raw grimace on her battered face, legs stumbling and staggering under Lima’s irresistible attack. Rohrbach wilting to the ropes and Adriana’s just lashing away: rigid, straight arm hooks on the flank or waist, tuff shoulder bumps setting up those tight, curling rights on the cheek, crippling left uppercuts to the chin, then it starts all over again in the gut. Kelly’s face a blasted blank, void of expression--eyes dimming as Lima stays on her with muscular shoving, punching mauling, it’s all too much, challenger bravely goes beyond all endurance, but eventually crumbles under the drumming attack, Lima stepping back to allow blonde to pitch face forward to the canvas, out cold. KO9 in brutal fashion for the winner and STILL Queen of the Ice Hotel, Adriana Lima!
After: Kelly lost, alone as the crowd celebrates the triumphant queen. Hard-hearted Adriana won’t copy Kate, “sparing” her the Body Saddle. "My coat, por favor," she commands as she removes her gloves - some attendant drapes the dark, floor length sable first worn by Aishwarya Rai across her shoulders for her to wriggle into. Strutting, Adriana roughly pulls the girl by her left arm and shoves her through the ropes. All through the foyer, Lima pushes a sobbing Rohrbach, her bronzed belly, flashing thighs just peaking through her open coat as she struts.
Kelly is ejected out into the frigid afternoon - sun low in an arctic sky, reflecting brightly off clean white snow. Formal-dress crowd spills out of the hotel in pursuit of the action, champagne glasses in hand. Rphrbach hugs at herself against the cold, pleading now, but Lima won't hear it. As Kelly trembles, breath puffing out in white clouds - Adriana steps into that smooth golden gut with a merciless right hand, doubling the blonde up with a shout. Lima takes Rohrbach by the back of the head, turns her, throws her belly-down into a nearby snow drift. Straddling the quaking beauty, Adriana sits heavily in the small of her back, grabbing Kelly by the hair and pulling her weeping face up. Once, twice, thrice, hardhearted Lima slams Rohrbach's face into the snow, pounding out a concave imprint. Then, with a firm purchase on Kelly's damp golden locks, she presses down, smothering the would-be Queen in the snow until she stops moving.
