TESS VALMORE
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much ridiculed predictions for the upcoming PPV. As usual, it is littered with cheap shots, unjustified criticism and unflattering comments. In the last round of PPVs, including the recent FNL PPV, I went 31-10 running my total to 1151-318 or a 78% correct ratio
K. BELL/McCURDY Management must have quickly thrown Bell into combat to keep from losing her in the 12/15 cut. She has had one fight in two years. McCurdy has lost her last three. She is 12 years younger and two inches taller than Bell. She should win this fight. She won’t. Bell needs this fight to stay relevant. She will win
STEINFELD/BENOIST This is a rematch of fight that took place in January. Benoist won that one by a KO. I see no reason why the outcome of this bout should be any different. Benoist by a KO
RIGHETTI/RHODA Rhoda has a great 13-2 record. She a little younger and three inches bigger than Righetti. Everyone knows I never bet against Righetti, but I have to make an exception in this case. Amanda has had trouble with the new wave of welters. I hope Righetti wins, but have to predict that Rhoda will be victorious by a KO
KOSARIN/LAWRENCE Kosarin. a bantam, is on a four fight win streak and KOed Lawrence’s stablemate Lively, a lightweight, in a stable war in September. Lawrence, however, is a bit better than Lively. Kosarin meets her match. Lawrence by a KO
CHERYL COLE/TISDALE Cole, who has been sensational , got upset by Cyrus in the November PPV. She’s looking to get back on track. Tisdale is a veteran who hasn’t seen much action in the last two years. I doubt she can handle Cole. Cole by a KO
BENSON/G.RODRIQUEZ Benson is a veteran fighter with an even record. Rodriquez is a newbie who also has an even record after two fights. Benson has too much experience. She will win by a TKO
UPTON/B. ATKINSON This is a body saddle bout. We can make this short. The two have fought three times before. Upton has won two of the three. She will win this one by a KO.
LOVATO/CHOPRA JMD I mention this only because I have an agreement with Mr V
VANCAMP/RIDLEY Ridley has built a great 8-1 in the FCBA. She will give VanCamp trouble. Trouble will be as far as it goes. VanCamp will walk away the winner by a KO
DOBREV/GREENE I have always wonder how Greene gets away with being rated as a bantam but gets away with it she does, and has won all three of her bouts this year over some pretty decent competition. To me, Dobrev is a fighter who hasn’t lived up to her promise. She has a winning record, but I thought she would be a champion. That hasn’t happened. I am going to take a chance on Dobrev. but I really don’t feel confident about it. Dobrev by a KO
PEREGRYM/J. RYAN Missy is one of my favorites. She is having what is an off year for her. She is younger than Ryan, but who isn’t. Here we have a small lightweight going against a welter. I am prejudiced. Ryan is a member of the dismal Academy. I hope Missy creams her. It’s going to be tough but I will put my mouth where if hopes are. Peregrym will win
STRAHVOSKI/TORV Strahvoski is the other Lookout having somewhat of an off year. She has lost her last three. Torv, on the other hand has won 17 of her last 18. The difference is Strahovski usually fights ranked fighters How many top ranked fighters has Torv faced in in those 18 fights. One, the one that she lost. Strahovski by a KO
E. HENSTIRDGE/SHAHI Henstridge is a good fighter on her way up. I think Shahi is a good fighter on her way down. Henstridge is on a nine fight win streak. She wil make it ten. Henstridge by a KO
SCODELARIO/LILLY Like the last match, Scodelario is on her way up winning eight of her last nine, the last win being over Danes. Lilly is a six time champion who was on her way to the Hall Of Fame, and then six years ago management only allowed her three fights or less per year. She is now 38, her chances for the Hall dim. She has lost three of her last four.. Does she still have fuel in the tank? We will find out. I have to go with Scodelario
MICHELLE RYAN/BROOK Ryan is 4-4 for the year fighting at welter. Brook, who should probably be a welter has made the weight to fight at lightweight. She lost four straight in the FCBA before scoring an upset in November. I doubt she can repeat with the upset. Ryan by a KO
S.TURNER/BIEL Turner has a semi-decent record of 5-3. Two of those wins however, were against bantams. Biel on the other hand is not having a good year. In fact, she has lost her last four. All four losses were to top ten fighters
Biel will break her losing streak. Biel by a KO
PANETTIERE/LIND I do not know who Lind is and am not interested enough to find out. Panettiere should join the Hall Of Fame next year. She will need only four more bouts after this one. She already has the win ratio. Lind is a newbie. Seriously, do you really think Lind is going to wn? Panettiere by a KO
HANRATTY/O. HOLT Hanratty has had seven fights this year, winning five and is on a four fight win streak. That is more bouts than Holt has had in her career. Holt has lost two of three. After this bout she will have lost three out of four. Hanratty by a KO
TAILOR/KHLOE KARDASHIAN Tailor is a winner of a New Blood Tournament. She has won three of four this year. Kardashian also broke in this year and has won two of three. Everyone knows I am not a fan of the Kardashians. Tailor by a KO
M WILLIAMS/CAMERON Cameron broke in three years ago and has had ten fights, winning four. She is in with a Hall Of Fame member who is 3-0 for the year in conventional bouts. Cameron is in way over her head. Maybe this will be a learning experience for her, like maybe the FCBA is not her gig. Williams by a KO
HUDGENS/LOWNDES Winner gets a title shot. This is the fifth conventional bout between these two, Each has won two. Mr V keeps complaining I don’t say nice things about Lowndes. Well, she is a lovely, talented woman. How’s that Mr V? I will go even further. Lowndes will win and get the title shot.
T. COLE/KRSMANOVIC This bout is for the number one contender’s slot. Whose idea was this? I can tell you right now, that the winner of this bout is not going to be the number one contender in Tractorpull Rankings. I am not nearly as impressed with Krsmanovic as Smackey, but I doubt she will make number one in Boxing World’s either. Her list of victims is not impressive. She did beat a couple tennis players. Wow, isn’t that great? Cole has been around since I was in grade school She has won only two of her last six. That gets you into position for a title shot? Oh please! All that said this could be a good fight. Cole will win
BELLISARIO/BENNET For the bantam title. Bennet has won nine straight including two title defenses. Bellisario held the title early this year and had three successful title defenses. She is 6-1 for 2017. Over all Bellisario has fought the tougher schedule. I will like to see Bennet win, but I fear Bellisario to going to be too much. Bellisario will take the title.
WINSTEAD/KENDALL JENNER For the lightweight title. Jenner has had an incredible year winning eleven of thirteen and the lightweight title Winstead is veteran of 77 fights winning 40. That’s not overly impressive but look at her opponents. She has fought nothing but the crearm of the crop. I am surprised she got the title bout since she lost a title shot in July. That’s two title shots in five months. That is indeed rare now days. I really like Jenner however, I would like to see the veteran get one more title. Winstead will win
