TESS VALMORE
As requested by a couple posters, we will finish the review with the fights that were on the infamous second page. Granted we are very late
STRAHVOSKI/RYAN One of the lightweights at the top of the food chain taking on an aging welter. Lets not say aging, lets say old, at least in FCBA terms. I have no idea what MIss Ginny was thinking other than Charlize managed to luck out in her last bout. There was a lot of upper body punching in this bout. Ryan took the first and Yvonne the second. Ryan took the third with a little illegal help from Theron who was roaming the ropes. In the fourth, Yvonne signaled the end was in sight when she decked Ryan. Strahvoski worked Ryan over in the fifth, finishing her with a right to the solar plexus which put Ryan down for the count. There was a lot of extra curricular activity which we not go into other than Yvonne’s challenge She offered Theron a million dollars to fight her again. Now we are big fans of Yvonne, but when she talks money, she is out of Charlize’s class. A million dollars is not that much to someone who makes 16 million a year and has a net worth of 110 million Charlize may have won the last fight, but she is basically toast. She would be stupid to take up the challenge
UPTON/B. HADID I think this was Hadid’s first FCBA bout. If so, she should have taken her sister’s advise and stayed home. In challenging Upton, she was taking on the wrong opponent for her maiden voyage. This was not who would win, but how long it would last The answer was less than four rounds. After two rounds of even fighting, Hadid won the third. No worry. In the fourth Upton caught Hadid with a punch to the temple, then got her on the ropes and used her as a punching bag until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight
KAJLICH/G. HADID Kajlich is mentioned as a top ten candidate who doesn’t fight that much. The 39 year old has had only eight fights in five years. She has however, beaten some good fighters and won six of her eight bouts. She was favored over Hadid simply because she has been around longer. Kajlich got off to a good start by winning the first two rounds. That was her highpoint. Hadid took over and dominated the rest of the fight winning the next five rounds. In the eighth a right hook to the Kajlich’s chin ended the fight. A great win for Hadid
LANCASTER/KLOSS How quick Lancaster shot to the top and how quickly her bubble burst.
After two inconclusive rounds, Lancaster took the lead by winning rounds three, four, five and six. The tide turned in the seventh. I think age had something to do with it as Kloss started to get the best of it. In the ninth, she decked Lancaster, who managed to survive the round. Lancaster still had the lead going into the final round but didn’t manage to finish the round as Kloss landed a right a damaged left eye and Lancaster went down for the count
J. L. COLEMAN/WILKERSON COLEMAN
GADOT/LIVELY Tractopull has been around the FCBA for almost seventeen years and I am told by the old timers that this was the most outrageous title bout ever. A fighter with two FCBA fights and no wins, gets a title shot Gadot also had four BBU fights and won one. Miss Ginny is making a joke of Lively’s title reign. It wasn’t a question of who was going to win. That was a given. It was how long it was going to last. This was a fight that Lively needed to win early, She didn’t. The fight was even at two and still even at the end of six. The end was in the seventh as Lively decked Gadot. LIvely decked Gadot again in the eighth. Gadot got to her feet and Lively poured on the punishment and the fight was stopped..This bout was filled with more of the Strahvoski/Theron drama. Apparently there is some type of bout between the two coming up. I have already said Theron would be stupid to get back into the ring with Strahvoski. A couple weeks ago The Wiz commented that Miss Ginny was one of the smartest managers around. She replied a couple weeks would show if that was correct. I can see the time coming and the Wiz, in a very rare occurrence, is going to be proved wrong
DANES/HOLT For the bantam title Holt got off to a good start taking the first two rounds. In the third Danes started to get on track taking that round and the fourth. Danes continued the attack taking the fifth despite being fouled by Holt who landed a punch to Dane’s trunks. In the sixth Danes went on rampage punching Holt around the ring until a final right cross sent Holt down for the count Danes retains the title
