TESS VALMORE
To begin with, I have to eat some crow (Not the first time) In a recent post I stated that I would not predict the Sin City Rollers PPV because there was no set date. Then, it was pointed out to me that the date was prominently displayed on the excellent poster that accompanied the announcement. So I must apologize to Girls Friday for the oversight. I have been complaining recently about the number of easy fights being scheduled. Fights that were obvious as to who the winner would be. When I saw the fights listed for this card, I saw no fights that were mismatches. In fact, I thought I was lucky in not having to predict the fights. That was not to be
MAISIE WILLIAMS/H. WILLIAMS. I have had the pleasure of seeing Hayley Williams perform. She’s my kind of singer. Just she and a small rock band. No backup dancers or singers. No cast of thousands. Just good rock and roll. I enjoyed her stage presence. I have no idea how she will do in the ring as this is her debut. I don’t know anything about Maisie Williams either. She is from the BBU and this is FCBA debut. She has a 4-2 record. Fighters almost never win a debut bout when facing a fighter with a winning record. I will be rooting for Hayley, but I have to think that Maisie Williams will win by a KO
MORITZ/DUNST Moritz has a 3-2 record after getting flattened by Camila Mendes in earlier this month. She did win a newcomers tournament. Winning her first three but dropping her last two. Dunst has been around the FCBA since the year 2000, but she hasn’t had a fight since October of 2014. Dunst is two inches taller, but Moritz is fifteen years younger. It’s not out of the realm that Dunst could win this fight, however, I am going with the combination of youth for one and a long lay off for the other. Moritz will win
RUAH/J. KELLY Ruah has something to prove. This will be her first fight since being released from Front Street. She will be facing an old nemesis in Joanne Kelly. The two have fought twice before with Kelly winning both by seventh round KOs, the last fight being in February of 2013 Ruah has won both her bouts this year, while Kelly has lost five of her last six. Kelly has fought much better competition. This is a 50/50 fight I like Ruah but for some reason, I have to go with Kelly by a KO
RICKARDS/K. GRAHAM Graham is another fugitive from Front Street. I think is is also her first bout since being released. She had one of the poorest records at her former stable, but also fought a better class of opponents. Rickards has been in the FCBA for five years, but doesn’t fight that much. having only six fights with one last year and one so far this year. She has a 4-2 record losing her last two to top fighters. This is another 50/50 bout. My mind tells me to go with Graham. My gut says Rickards. Trust the lower part of the anatomy. Richards will win
KHLOE KARDASHIAN/BROOK Everyone knows that I am not a fan of the Kardashians all of whom inhabit the Daily Mail No Talent Index. According to the Archives, She has had only one fight which she lost to Rhoda in January. I thought she had a later bout, but if she did, I can’t find it. Brook is now 38 and has had 101 fights as compared to Kardashian’s one. She has lost her last five. Brook is looking old, but Kardashian as a 33 year old rookie isn’t going anywhere. I don’t have any strong feelings about this bout. I will take a chance on Kardashian and don’t ask me why
M. RODRIGUEZ/OLSEN Rodriguez is pushing 40. She is not only quite a bit older than her opponent, she is also slightly smaller. She has won two of her three FCBA bouts this year, however her opponents were not top fighters. Olsen has lost four of her last five but her opposition was better. What bothers me about Olsen is that in her last bout she lost to Benoist. Despite that I will go with Olsen by a KO
