"She's definitely a girl you can prove something against," says Allison with a nod. "And, I plan to prove it tonight."
"When it comes to talent," says Kristen, "She has it. But. She's not as good as I am, and that's what will matter tonight."
ROUND ONE:
O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Hallelujah', but the version you're hearing isn't by the great Leonard Cohen, it's the cover version sung by the young lady coming to the ring right now, the lovely Allison Williams!"
McCarthy: "Who looks like a BOY!"
Cassie: "Williams, of course, is the star of horror films like 'The Perfection' and 'M3GAN'..."
McCarthy: "If ANYONE should star in a movie called 'The Perfection', it should be ME with my perfect face and body!"
Tess: "I think I threw up in my mouth a little just then..."
McCarthy: "SHUT UP, WALMART!"
O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, and drink in the lovely Allison as she climbs into the ring and is helped off with the robe to reveal that floral number we've seen before. And, that's 'Helter Skelter' by the Beatles you hear behind us, and here comes 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"
McCarthy: "FINALLY! A REAL fighter!"
O'Dell: "Kristen tapping glove to fist with Mac on the way past the table and climbing into the ring where Jewel and Neve help her off with the robe. K-Stew sporting that lime green number she likes and the crowd showing appreciation as usual. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes K-Stew. Mac?"
McCarthy: "Stewart's a REAL fighter. She'll win."
O'Dell: "Cassie?"
Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"
O'Dell: "Unanimous again in the third, and Williams might be letting us know what the strategy is here right away. She's getting VERY physical with Stewart, walking forward, tying her up, bodying up on her. Williams usually fights bantam, so she's a little sturdier girl..."
McCarthy: "Comes down to this. Boxing with K-Stew is a good way for this girl to lose every round."
O'Dell: "Could very well be the thinking. Kristen shoving off, moving the feet, trying to get some space, but not having a lot of luck doing it right now. Instead, Williams is working inside, banging some body, getting physical."
Cassie: "And having the better of things."
O'Dell: "Is, indeed. Fifteen seconds to go in the first, and Williams' strategy is paying off, at least in the short run. Ladies clinching. Stewart shoves off and lands a good right hand and there's the bell. Allison takes the first wide."
Tess: "And leads 10-9."
ROUND TWO:
O'Dell: "Stewart showing more movement now. She's using a drop step, moving laterally, popping out that jab, catching Allison in the face with it. Front Streeter working hard to create space, and she's getting that done now..."
McCarthy: "And, if Williams can't get in there and slop, Stewart wins easy."
O'Dell: "Not sure about that, because Allison's shown she can box, too. But, out boxing K-Stew, with that precision of hers. is very, very difficult to do, and Williams isn't getting it done on the outside right now. Then again, she's not doing much out there..."
Tess: "Still trying to work in."
O'Dell: "Exactly, but having zero success. Kristen's getting the range and angles she wants, and that's a recipe for disaster. Ten seconds remaining in the second. SHARP exchange sees Stewart back Williams up a step, and there's the bell. Kristen. Wide."
Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."
ROUND THREE:
O'Dell: "Ladies settling in at range now. Williams not wasting time or effort trying to close, because Stewart's solved that equation. Instead, Allison boxing with, and, as we pointed out earlier, showing she can do so pretty well..."
Cassie: "Williams very athletic. Quick. Great feet."
O'Dell: "Showing all of that right now, as she's keeping this close against one of the best boxers in the FCBA. Allison quickly forward behind the left, backs up Stewart with a nice flurry. Had Kristen uncomfortable there for a minute..."
McCarthy: "But, Stewart restores order with the left and the drop step."
O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in the third. Not a lot in it. Another quick sally from Williams and, again, she backs up Kristen briefly and there's the bell. Unlike the first two, this stanza was very, very close, but Williams gets the points."
Tess: "And pulls into a 29-28 lead."
ROUND FOUR:
O'Dell: "Into the fourth and we've settled into a bit of a pattern. Ladies working at range, using the jab, moving head, hands, and feet, boxing and boxing very well. Kristen having a bit better of it on those terms, but Williams continues her sallies."
Tess: "She's picking her spots, getting inside, and getting work done."
O'Dell: "Definitely is, and she's offsetting Kristen's advantage at range. It's very good stuff from Allison, who, again, is showing all that athleticism Cassie talked about. Williams quickly forward and again backs up K-Stew briefly."
McCarthy: "Sooner or later, she'll pay for this."
O'Dell: "Coming into the final ten seconds of the fourth. It's been another close round as the ladies have shown off excellent skills and great feet here. A BIG exchange there as Allison tries to come inside and there's the bell. Close again. Williams."
Cassie: "And, Allison is up a pair, 39-37."
ROUND FIVE:
O'Dell: "Back at range to start the fifth, and a little more aggression from Stewart now. K-Stew putting together some hard flurries, backing up Williams, stepping forward and keeping the pressure on. Allison on the back foot for the first time..."
McCarthy: "K-Stew about to take over."
O'Dell: "She's certainly getting the better of things right now, backs up Williams again and then ROCKS HER WITH A THREE-PUNCH COMBINATION! Williams all WOBBLY BUTT as Stewart steps to and lets the lands go..."
Cassie: "Allison in DEEP trouble..."
O'Dell: "Is, indeed. Kristen sitting down on her punches now, driving her rival into the ropes and then doing a little body work before coming back upstairs. Ref looking in closely. Time ticking away. GOOD right by Stewart, but there's the bell. Kristen. Wide."
Tess: "But, Williams is still standing and still leading, 48-47 at the half."
ROUND SIX:
O'Dell: "Kristen looking to finish now. She's walking a wobbly Williams down behind the left hand. Allison willing to give ground, trade time for space. Needs to get those legs back under her. GOOD right by Kristen shakes Williams again..."
McCarthy: "Just a matter of time..."
O'Dell: "Stewart calling in the artillery now, banging away at a listing S.S. Allison. Williams in desperate shape as the referee keeps a close eye on this thing and DOWN SHE GOES! A right hand from Stewart and Allison is blown to her back!"
Tess: "That might do it..."
O'Dell: "Kristen to a neutral corner. Count is at three. Four. Five. Williams rolling to her belly at six. She's pushing to hands and knees at seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Allison still on all fours as the count passes her by and it's OVER and your winner by KO6 is 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"
Cassie: "Clinical finishing right there. Clinical."
AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Cassie Scerbo!"
Cassie: "I have our winner, Kristen Stewart, and, K-Stew, she wanted to brawl a bit early..."
Kristen (smiling): "Girls like to try that. Most of them don't want to box with me. But, I know how to handle that. And, I handled it."
Cassie: "So, it's October. Time for one more fight for you in 2024?"
Kristen (smiling): "You know it. Let's get it booked, 'boss'!"
"She's definitely a girl you can prove something against," says Allison with a nod. "And, I plan to prove it tonight."
