Kylie Jenner versus Kelly Rohrbach

BEFORE:

Battle of top lights is a study in contrasts. It's blonde vs. brunette, sure, but it's more than that. Styles make fights, and this one is about styles, the long, athletic boxer in Kelly vs. the power punching slugger Kylie, and both fighters are plenty confident coming in.

"I know her game," says the blonde with a smile. "I know how to beat girls like her, and that's exactly what I'm going to do tonight."

"What SHE'S going to do," says a hard-eyed Kylie, "Is suck sand at my feet."

ROUND ONE:

Styles make fights, and, early on, the blonde proves it. She's at gunnery range, getting her box on, snapping out left jabs, stopping the brunette with them, then dropping hard right hands on her. Jenner frustrated. Can't get forward, can't get to the spots she wants. Instead, she's eating leather, as Kelly moves gracefully over the sand, always keeping that left in her face. Kylie working, trying to get inside, but she can't penetrate her rival's defenses. Instead, it's Rohrbach who's calling the tune, and it sounds like "Achy Breaky Heart" to Kylie, who manages a couple of brief forays into territory where she can get off late in the round, but mostly takes a beating. At the bell, it's Rohrbach wide and up 10-9.

ROUND TWO:

Jenner ups the aggression. She's not working forward now, she's PLOWING forward through the sand, walking through her rival's punches, picking off a few with her gloves, but, generally damning any and all torpedoes to get into the blonde's grill. For a bit, it doesn't work so well. Then, it starts working VERY well indeed. Jenner's in the phone both, working body, going upstairs, then right back down. Kelly's trying to move to get space, jab to get space, but nothing works. It's a complete 180 from the previous round, with Jenner now in control. Rohrbach's never hurt, but the blonde's on the back foot and that's where she stays to the bell. When it rings? Kylie wide and we're even at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Jenner continuing to pressure. She's not respecting Kelly's power at all and...BOOM! Right hand, ROHRBACH and DOWN GOES KYLIE! Jenner dropped to her back in the sand by a NASTY straight right. Rohrbach to a neutral corner, confident she's ended this thing...but, not so fast. The brunette's up at eight and takes the mandatory before the referee waves on the blonde! Kelly all OVER her wobbly rival, driving her back to the ropes and having at her, head, body, RACK. Kylie hanging on desperately, clinching when she can, taking a terrific beating. Ref looking in closely, but Jenner is able to make it to the bell. Huge round for Rohrbach, though, and Kelly now leads 29-27.

ROUND FOUR:

Jenner in retreat early. Kelly stepping to, backing the brunette up. Rohrbach determined to finish, but unable to do so. Instead, as the round goes on, Jenner's sturdy legs come back around and, soon enough, she's giving as good as she gets. Blonde hearing it from the corner about midway through, time to turn down the heat. She's back to gunnery range, back to boxing, back to working that left, keeping Kylie at bay. Jenner more careful now, respecting that power. She's moving the feet, kicking up sand, working to block and slip, get inside, work body, getting stronger as the round goes on. It's too late to make a difference on the cards, though. Kelly takes the points and extends her lead to 39-36.

ROUND FIVE:

Fifth begins the way the fourth ended. Jenner working forward soundly, using the feet to try to slip the jab, the gloves to try to block it. Then, she crowds the blonde, works her body, goes upstairs, the right back down, backs her up, leans on her when she can. Kelly tying up, shoving off, moving the feet, doing whatever she can to get some breathing space, but Jenner's giving her precious little of it. Instead, the brunette's in her face, grinding, banging. Rohrbach firing back in spots, trying to punch out of it, but Kylie is as relentless as she is effective. At the bell, there's no doubt about the points. It's Jenner and wide, but the blonde still leads it 48-46 at the half.

ROUND SIX:

Jenner pressuring, forcing Rohrbach backward. Kylie plowing up sand as she drives forward, keeping her rival on the back foot. Kelly willing to trade ground for space, moving laterally, kicking up plenty of sand of her own...BOOM! Right hook, KYLIE and DOWN GOES KELLY! A lightning strike of a right hook sends the blonde crashing to her back. Jenner stomping to a neutral corner. Rohrbach looking finished, but, somehow she manages to rise at nine. Ref gives her the mandatory and ON COMES KYLIE! Jenner hammering away with both hands, backing Kelly to the ropes, RIPPING shot to tummy, then STAGGERING Rohrbach with a left hook and IT'S OVER! The ref has seen enough and he bundles the blonde to safety! And, your winner by TKO6 is Kylie Jenner!

AFTER:

Jenner looking like she's been in quite the fight, but defiant as usual. "She caught me a lucky one," Kylie admits. "But, she was never stopping me. Sooner or later, she was going to suck sand, and that's exactly what she did."
