An intriguing bout next as rapper Ice Spice takes on streamer Rachell "Valkrae" Hofstadter here at Florida's Muscle Beach. Both have won one of their two career bouts. A win here would set them up for bigger bouts, the loser might find themselves begging for contests.
Lexi Neir for the FCBA Network got a few words from both before the fight. Ice was in her changing room in a fluffy white dressing gown as she was in the middle of putting on her fight attire. She smiles looking relaxed as she waves the reporter in.
"Boy has these months been a rollercoaster. I have fought Avril Lavigne and Bhad Bhabie. Now I fight Rachell, I know she is thinking the same thing as me, this is winnable for us both. Neither of us has the experience advantage. I don't have any issues with her outside the ring but once that bell rings. It's ever woman for herself and I won't go down without a fight." Showing her fists to prove she is up for a fight.
Rachell meanwhile is having her hands wrapped by her coach as she is wearing a white silk robe. She is looking in a good mood as she waves at Lexi with her unwrapped left hand. Her coach tells her to keep still, making Rachell look like a schoolgirl being told off by the teacher.
Asked about how she feels, Rachell admits "I have butterflies. I mean this is Ice frickin Spice I am fighting. She has some hype behind her and I have some too. This is going to be so tough for me but so was fighting a close friend like Andrea (Botez) a few months ago."
Rachell then adds "but I am here to kick some ass. Ice and me are going to go at it hard. I can't wait to get my hand raised." Showing some confidence. Though her expression shows a little doubt, maybe not as confident as she is making out.
Fighting time! The ring has been set up so the posts are buried into the beach itself. Bleachers are on opposite sides of the ring on two sides. The judges table has the sea behind them. As this East Vs West coast bout is about to really get started to cheers from the crowd.
First to walk to the ring is Ice with her coach behind her. She is wearing a red bikini with black gloves. Tapping her cheeks before she enters the ring as she looks to fire herself up. Arms in the air as she bounces on her toes in her corner as she looks ready to fight.
Rachell now heads to the ring with her coach behind her. She stops at ringside to get hugs from some of her friends like Fuslie and TinaKitten. Getting into the ring wearing a black bikini with white gloves, hair tied into a braid. She bounces on her toes nodding to her coach she is in a good place for this.
The fighters walk to the middle of the ring for the final instructions. They lock eyes but there isn't any malice there as they do respectfully bump fists when asked. Jogging back to their corners. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1:
There's a quick nod between the fighters before they trade and around the middle of the ring with single punches. Ice moving in with a few more two punch combos to try to up the tempo. A left cross catches Ice on her forehead to knock her head back.
But Ice doesn't stay back for long as she lands a straight into the face of Rachell to push her back. A left hook is followed by a straight to knock Valkrae onto her heels. Rachell maybe still thinking about her defeat in her last bout as she isn't throwing many punches, instead focusing on defensive as she moves around the perimeter of the ring.
Controlling the action, Ice is looking the more confident fighter in the ring. Landing a few punches around the belly button of her opponent to make her grunt. Rachell does fire back in the dying moments of the round. Catching Spice around her cheeks as it maybe dawns on her she can't hold back too much.
At the bell they walk back to their corners with the Ice fans on their feet cheering her on. Rachell on the other hand is told off. She nods to her coach and yells "yes coach!" To assure them she will do as told.
Round 2:
Out comes Rachell with more energy. They exchange around the center of the ring with eyes locked behind gloves as they look determined. Ice landing a few solid body shots but getting caught in reply around to her cheeks. Crowd cheering them on as they see the fighters dig their toes into the sand to trade.
An uppercut sneakily catches Ice on her chin as she looked confident fighting in close. A left hook follows to her chin to twist her head around. Rachell looks to have a boost of her own confidence as she rams home more cleaner combos into the face of Spice to push her backwards.
Pushing Rachell off after being near the ropes. ice starts coming back at her. Closely fought action around the middle of the ring. The main thing is Hofstadter is being more active after a slow opener. The round ends with Rachell getting applauded by her friends. Ice taps her cheeks as she tells herself off.
Round 3:
Both slinging in more straight shots as they look to push their foe back. Ice landing a crisp left hook but getting caught with a straight on her forehead as it's a closely fought opening minute. It's Ice who looks to win the momentum by landing a straight on the nose of Rachell to open her up for a left hook on her cheek.
Around the outside part of the ring goes Rachell. She is showing fight to sling back but Ice is landing the crisper punches. Several hooks bring flung in by Ice. A left hook turns Rachell's head as Ice begins to force her to the ropes.
Going into the last minute. Rachell catches Ice with a jab on her forehead with a right hook to her jaw. Back goes Spice now as Hofstadter is getting a rhythm going. They trade several hooks before they end up clinched up trying to muscle each other back before being pushed apart. A quick flurry is exchanged before the bell rings. Both nod then walking to their corners.
Round 4:
Teasing each other with jabs before hooks come in behind them. Ice landing around to the ear of Rachell to send sweat flying. Ice is caught with a right cross on her nose to slow her momentum down. Rachell dancing away from the ropes into space.
After the opening minute, they exchange around the center of the ring. Sand being dug up as Ice is looking to keep being aggressive. The issue is she is missing at times as Rachell is getting her guard up to deflect and counter strike. Rachell lands a straight onto the nose of Ice before landing a left hook on her jaw.
Ice finding herself being herded near the ropes, several punches digging into her belly button to make her groan out. Ice slinging back with short hooks when Rachell moves in closer. The round comes to an end with both walking back to their corners with sweat dripping off their brows.
Round 5:
Back out they come with more short flurries being exchanged. A jab catches Ice on her nose to cause a trickle of blood from it. Ice swinging back hoping to catch Rachell. Who dances back and lands a right cross on the nose to make Ice cry out. A LEFT HOOK LANDS ON THE EAR OF ICE TO SEND HER DOWN TO HER LEFT KNEE!
Rachell jogs over to the neutral corner with a nod over to her friends as they whistle and chant her name. 1....2....3... Ice shakes her head to clear some cobwebs. 4....5....6... Ice pushes up to her feet with a slight wobble, she raises her fists to show she is ok to continue.
Fighting on with Ice trying to repay Rachell. Throwing in hooks but each time her nose gets caught it stops her. A right hook to the ear makes her stumble to her right. RACHELL IS SWINGING THROUGH HER HIPS WITH HER PUNCHES TO KNOCK ICE TO THE ROPES! ICE IS GETTING BATTERED AS SHE CAN'T STOP THE LEAK OF PUNCHES! IN COMES THE TOWEL FROM SPICE'S CORNER! REFEREE WAVES THE FIGHT OFF!

After:
The winner looks stunned that she won this bout. Rachell looking at the referee before mouthing "oh my god" to herself. Rachell checks on Ice, who slaps her hands away. Ice saying sternly "I'll be ok" as she is leaning against the turnbuckles to hold herself up.
Ice not looking too pleased as she asks why the referee stopped the fight. The referee having to point out the towel from her corner. Ice asking her coach as they come into the ring why they did that. Ice wanted to go out on her terms but her coach is telling her to think about her future and not just take an unnecessary beating.
Once Ice has had a drink of water and cooled off. She walks over to Rachell's corner and puts out her right fist. Rachell looks up with a smile and accepts the fist bump. Ice stepping out the ring and taking her time to head to the changing room. She will need to accept the path to success will have bumpy roads.
While Rachell heads to the center of the ring for the final announcement. Her friends Leslie and Tina are allowed into the ring to celebrate with her. Rachell getting her right hand raised in victory as she is beaming. Hugging her friends as she shares a picture with them.
Leaving the ring together. Rachell and Fuslie have both entered the boxing world, maybe TinaKitten might try her hands at it. Right now she is happy to celebrate with Rachell as things are going great for the group.
