R1: Neriah sets the tone early getting on top and pressing Katie hard all around the ring. Spring, sharp, pulsing jab from Fisher—very classy—puts Austin on her heels and on the defensive. Rivet-gun right hands taut off the jab—bang/bang impacts up the middle, squirting through Katie’s mitts as rookie tries to close up her guard. Firm biting slash applied to Austin’s lithe ribcage: ripping rights and lefts sounding out with small-glove cracking noises—she’s not liking those one bit—cringing, backing away from the hurt while keeping her dukes up. Very impressive Fisher first: she’s aggressive; sharp and clinical outside; muscular and rangy closer-in, working her foe’s body and head for a ringing shutout. Neriah with a cocky smirk en route to her corner, ponytail tossing: Katie trying not to show any sign of discouragement.
R2: Hot boxing midring—both girls showing wonderful reflexes, terrific form, taut execution in athletic thrust-and-parry. Virtual standstill at range—girls darting in behind jabs, hoping to rip combinations—both adept at fading back from pressure, sidestepping, then counter-attacking with vigour. Down the stretch, Katie catches Neriah a swiping, sidearm right hands across the chin, turning the punch over palm-down on follow through: Fisher’s hurt! Neriah covering up earmuff, tilting forward midring: Katie lavishes her girl a ringing left uppercut off the front foot—pinpoint chin-check shaking her victim to her toes. Muscles in Austin’s shoulder and back spring into relief as she catches Fisher perfect; stepping away with hard look of satisfaction on pretty face. Bell: Katie aggressively seeking eye contact, wanting to check on Neriah see how hurt she really is; Fisher irritated, shoving the palm of a glove in Austin’s face to avoid eye contact and step around her antagonist.
R3: No fireworks this round, just Neriah managing Katie, outboxing her, outmaneuvering her, outjabbing her. Fisher stepping forward behind a classy stick, punching back Austin’s face and driving her to ropes; dipping in to ring up rookie’s body rights and lefts until the clinch. Katie frowning—she’s basically walking away to her right, looking to buy a little breathing room, not making any mistakes, just coming off the worse in the exchanges
R4: Katie snarling as she wades in behind her gloves, gets picked at, then hurls back hard to Neriah’s ribcage. Several mouth-on-shoulder, lanky exchanges: Austin with hands low, lifting limber, slinging leather into Fisher's lungs. Neriah with right at her cheek, left across her body, using that extended left elbow to steer Katie, drawing warnings for pushing-off with it against bully's throat. Fisher slashing back counters - weight on her back leg as she pushes on Austin to resist her, then slicing hooks and short right hands head and body. Katie still getting out-hit, but being very willful - she's starting to re-establish to Neriah's slender waist and supple ribcage. Down the stretch, total turn around, Austin pounding away heavy overhand rights to get Fisher back to ropeside, then fighting off brunette's chest. Neriah under siege, face tight with concentration - she's pushing on Katie with that extended left elbow, weight on the back foot, just trying to deny clean touches. Austin not worried about accuracy - she's all about volume - stroking and walloping away with right and left roundhouses. Katie rangy, brawny - getting off, then pushing Neriah into ropes - always bullying, mauling and imposing will. Fisher's defence denies Austin any homeruns - but East Coast lass racks up a truckload of singles in a shutout 4th.
R5: Cagey stalking, circling—both girls mirroring each other’s rangy stances/sliding footwork. Both will throw a stiff jab, but also a slow range-finding jab—rotating torso afterward to mover the head. Both girls trying sneaky-quick right hands off the shoulder—nice piercing cut and thrust as girls from range. Middle minute—Neriah slow-jabbing Katie, then torso-rotating in a supple crouch: Austin’s eyes narrowed as she’s trying to time brunette’s head movement. Slow jab Fisher, then a BLISTERING Austin right cross: SHATTERING spank kicks NERIAH’S face back—head bouncing off the upper rope—Katie jogging to neutral corner bright eyed, Fisher sprawled on her back propping on her elbows, face bleak with KO’d wonder and CAN’T GET OFF HER BUTT! Neriah awake, but numb—KO5 in sudden fashion, Katie Austin!
After: "YES!" Katie screams in Neriah's stunned face as she jerks her to her feet: it's the Welcome To Lightweight win Mother & Daughter were praying for. "You got DOSED!" Katie brays while forcing Neriah through the ropes, clearly thrilled at her achievement. An idea strikes her, she unites Fisher’s top, and tosses it into the waves! “Go and get it!”
Neriah looks down at her bared chest, looks back up at Katie: “You think I have a problem with this?” She turns on her heel, flirts her bum at her fellow Fitness Princess, and makes her way towards the shower tent. O&E corner crew catches up to her and offers her a towel, but it takes some convincing to get her to wrap up as she stalks away from her new rival!
