Here are our much maligned predictions for the January PPV with limited comment. If we irritate or offend you with any of our comments, don’t bother to complain. We “ain’t” interested. Starting with this edition there will be no comment other than the winner on any CWF fight
LILLY COLLINS/ANA DE ARMAS. For something called the AMD title. Who cares.
NELL TIGER FREE/KELLI BERGLUND. Berglund is having a fantastic 1-4 yearShe beat Tiger Free last year. It “ain’t” going to happen again
MEGAN FOX/OLIVIA HOLT. Holt hasn’t been the same since her great 2020-2021 seasons. She fought Fox once and beat her. Holt has had three AMD title fights, each as the first fight of the year. Did Oddman invent AMG? She will beat Fox
NATALIE PORTMAN/JENNA ORTEGA. I admit I liked Ortega as Wednesday Adams. She is 22 years younger than Portman, but I think she will need Lurch and the rest of the Adams Family to beat Portman. It won’t happen.
EMMA ROBERTS/DAPHE KEEN. After exceptional years is 2018-19. Roberts has performed as an average fighter. Keen is the hottest commodity in the flyweight circle, She was bought to reality by Millie Buddy Brown in the last PPV who handed Keen her first loss. This is youth vs experience. I go with youth
MADDIE ZIEGLER/DOVE CAMERON. Ziegler has the youth. Cameron has the experience including a title. I like Ziegler’s picture in the Archives much better than Cameron’s’. Ziegler will win. How’s that for deep analysis
AVRIL LAVIGNE/ARIANA GRANDE. For those old enough to know what a Kamikaze mission is, this is one. Poor Grande won’t be talking much around the Mouse when she recovers sometime in August.
BELLA THORNE/HUNTER KING. Knockout Babes took King off the unmanaged market in 2020 and turned her into a 3-7 fighter. Fighting Thorne right after she lost a title fight is not a good move. Hunter bites the dust again
MILLIE BOBBY BROWN/BRITTANy SNOW. I was surprised when Sceej signed Snow at the beginning of the year. She has had the best year of her career. Millie Bobby Brown has become one of my favorites even if she doesn’t have blonde hair. That’s all you need to know to expect Brown to win and be able to buy a bottle of hair color,
BRIE LARSON/RENEE RAPP. Who is Renee Rapp? Who cares? Larson in four
KYLIE JENNER/GIGI HADID If you have to fight a Hadid, GiGi is the one to fight. To say she terrible, is actually praise for her ability. Jenner will win.
HAILEE STEINFELD/NATALIE ALYN LIND. Lind has a lot of admirers, but I am not one of them. I hope Steinfeld wins. but I don’t think she will. Lind
SARAYA/YVONNE STRAHOVSKI. I guess I am supposed to know that Saraya’s last name is Bevis. Apparently, she thinks everyone must know who she is. She’s a wrestler. She had a great 2023. Yvonne is in the tail end of her career, but she is blonde. Yvonne wins
KIRA KOSARIN/SYDNEY SWEENEY. Want to lose a couple bucks? Bet on Sweeney.
AMANDA RIGHETTI/AMY WILLERTON I know Amanda lost in the last PPV. I still do not bet against Righetti. She will win
KELSEY MERRITT/NINA AGDAL. Agdal looks blonde. Merritt doesn’t. Both are good, but Agdal will win
NERIAH FISHER/HAILEY CLAUSON. Neriah has bitten off more than she can chew. She won’t choke, but she won’t win either.
CIERRA RAMIREZ/MILEY CYRUS. Ramirez has had two straight bad years. Cyrus had a bad year last year. It wasn’t just a bad year, it was a disaster. 2024 won’t start off any better.
BECKY G/ISABELLA GOMEZ Isabella Gomez doesn’t fight much, but she has a couple big wins. That something G doesn’t have. Gomez wins
MALU TREVEJO/PAIGE VANZANT. Trevejo is another on this card who had a bad 2023. Vanzant won all her fights last year, a grand total of one. I go with Vanzant, another blonde.
YANET GARCIA/ADRIA ARJONA Garcia spent most of last year on the bench. She lost her only fight. Arjona was much busier. She had two fights. I will go with Arjona. Don’t ask why
KAROL G./ISABELA MONER. This is G’s debut. I go with Moner only because she has experience.
GABI FULLER/MAGGIE LINDEMANN. Fuller has had three fights and won them all. Lindeman has had one and lost it. It don’t take a genius to predict who will win.
If this card goes in the order presented for the predictions, the middle of this card is full of mediocre fighters. You can probably have more excitement and fun sitting in Night Court
STANA KATIC/MANDY MOORE Katic wins again.
VICTORIA JUSTICE/KRISTEN BELL. Justice
LINDSEY PELAS/LENI KLUM. JMD
KATRINA BOWDEN/SOPHIE HOWARD. Bowden .
HILARY RHODA/ALICE GOODWIN. Rhoda will win.
ALICE SABATINI/JENNIFER LAWRENCE. Sabatini had a good year last year ending the year winning five straight. Lawrence has always been a mystery. She came into the FCBA in 2012 and was a immediate sensation quickly climbing into the top ten. In 2018, trouble started and she hasn’t been the same since. This is going to be a critical year, She really needs to beat Sabatini and I think she will
MIA KHALIFA/SIDNEY MEYER. I have no idea who Sidney Meyer is. I really don’t care as she will lose to Khalifa
ELETTRA LAMBORGHINI/JULIANNE HOUGH. Hough has lost nine of her last ten. After this fight it will be ten of eleven
VALENTINA FRADEGRADA/HAYLEY HATWELL. Who is Hayley Hatwell? Fradegrada will win
CREE CICCHINO/EMMA WATSON OK, Watson is in a stable controlled by a local administrator. I got to say she will win
EMILY DIDONATO/EDEN COHEN. DiDonato had a terrible second half of 2023. Cohen did much better during that time including beating Kendall Jenner. I think DiDonato will comeback, but not in this bout. Cohen will win. The way Fates worded the announcement of his upcoming Los Vegas card makes me think this prediction is going to be wrong
BLAKE LIVELY/LORELLA BOCCIA. Lively needs three wins to get into the Hall of Fame. This will be one of them
HANNAH PALMER/BRECKIE HILL. JMD
VANESSA HUDGENS/JOEY KING. For some title I refuse to recognize. I don’t care who wins. Does anyone?
ANYA TAYLOR-JOY/SPOHIA THOMALLA. For the Empress of the Body Saddle. Thomalla is undefeated in the BBU. She should have stayed there
HANNAH FERGUSON/CAMILLE KOSTEK. For the Queen of the Beach, another meaningless title that looks good on a resume. Ferguson is the current Queen She will retain that “glorious” title
SELENA GOMEZ/OLIVIA DUNNE. For the Princess of the Ice Hotel. Who wants to go to an Ice Hotel? Summer should last all twelve months .It was only a matter of time before someone signed Dunne. She is having some success, but she is not ready for Gomez who is the current “Princess”
SOPHIE MUDD/TINA LOUISE. JMD TITLE
BILLIE EILISH/CHLOE GRACE MORETZ. For the Unified Flyweight Title. Eilish is now undefeated in twenty five fights. Someone once said “all winning streaks will come to an end”. I think that was Julius Caesar in early March 44BC. Sometimes they come at unexpected times. Chloe will be he new champ
PRIYANKA CHOPRA/ALYSSA LYNCH. For the Unified Bantamweight Title. Chopra has had a fine run as champ. Lynch will soon be in the Hall of Fame, but she had never held a title She needs to correct that. She will by beating Chopra
TAYLOR SWIFT/KENDALL JENNER. For the Unified Lightweight Title. I admit that I am not a fan of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The last picture I saw of Jenner, she was wearing a little less than the usual ring garb. Ever wonder how the paparazzi gets all those pictures? Taylor will win (I hope)
KATE UPTON/TAHNEE ATKINSON. Everyone knows Kate is a friend of mine but it I predicted she would lose I would be met by Charlize, Cassandra Lynn, Neve, Tess and Big Pauley who would endeavor to successfully change my mind. I will just do it the easy way. Kate wins
I have been following the FCBA since October or November 1999. Archer has been around longer than me. I’ve seen it all, but I never dreamed that the question in my mind would come up. Most of you will disagree, but I think this January card was one of the weakest I can remember and maybe ever. That’s not Lookout’s fault. He can only work with what he has been given. The question in my mind is “Has the FCBA become too big?”
