The December PPV was forty-two fight card that featured three title fights. The fourth title, the lightweight title changed hands earlier in the month when Taylor Swift took the crown from Stacey Katic
Billie Eilish is the new flyweight champ and the field of contenders is wide open. The line for a title fight includes Millie Bobby Brown, Avril Lavigne, Brec Bassinger, Natalie Portman just to name a few. If I were Eilish, I would take six months decide, but unfortunately the rules were changed several years ago so a champion couldn’t wait for all her challenges to retire
Priyanka Chopra remains the bantam title holder. As for contenders, she has eliminated half of them earlier this year including Kosarin, Taylor-Joy, Santoro, Bennet, and Bella Thorne. Selena handed Chopra her only loss this year, so she would be a good choice as well as Natalie Alyn Lind who is on a ten fight win streak. Chopra and Lind are stablemates, but Hawkeye has held inter-stable title fights before including three between Michelle Williams and Portman and three with Williams and Dames
Taylor Swift took time from going to football games to take the title from Katic. Now she has to defend it. There was only one name that jumped out at me and that is Kendall Jenner, who is having a sensational season winning eighteen out of twenty including a win over Taylor.
Kate the Great maintained her welter title. You would think Tahnee Atkinson’s win over Righetti would get her a title fight but she has lost six of eight fights against Kate including the last four and one of those this year. Upton like Chopra has beaten most of the deserving title contenders this year. Hannah Ferguson’s dramatic win over Clauson is title fight deserving. Kostek is another possibility
She us 4-2 for the year. but she has wins over over Hannah plus Lawley and Tahnee Atkinson
In case you wondered, which you probably didn’t, there are 300 fighters presently in stables. Sixty two fighters made their debut this year. If history repeats a good number will never see more than two fights.
