Intro:
Two of the future of the FCBA trade blows for the first time in what will just one of likely many. Undefeated Dafne Keen takes on former FCBA flyweight champion Millie Bobby Brown. Which of these two will write the first chapter in their story with a victory next to their name.
These two have a little history already, though it has been mostly face offs as both have been at the side of stablemates. Like when they stared each other down after Jenna Louise Coleman had defeated Ivana Baquero early in the year.
Before the bout both gave a few words to Alicia Atout. Who first spoke to Dafne before she stepped into her stables locker room. Dafne is wearing a white hoodie with blue jeans and black boots. Her bag over her right shoulder as she takes a breath, evidentially more interested in just staying focused on the fight itself.
Asked about her feelings on this contest. Dafne answers "I have been thinking about this since I first joined celebrity female boxing. Millie was getting all the praise last year. Fingers crossed all the work I have put in will prove I belong in the top tier."
Alicia then asks Dafne how she feels about Millie, Dafne replies "look I am not much for drama. Millie and me will settle whose the best in that ring." She then nods to Alicia before walking past here to get into the locker room.
Millie meanwhile bumped into Alicia as she sees the interviewer in the media area. Millie is wearing a black jacket with black jeans and white trainers. She stops with a grin, saying "this is the big day" with a wink.
"Dafne and me have been dancing around each other all year. I have seen the looks she has given me and well I can't say that this is a friendly fight. I want to humiliate her in there to show where she stacks up" says Brown as she smiles. Looking confident that she can beat Dafne.
Fighting time! Dafne is out first with her coach Ming-Na Wen behind her. Dafne is wearing a black sports bra with silver trim, matching trunks and shoes, silver gloves and her hair tied into a ponytail. Dafne nods to her cheering fans before she climbs through the ropes into the ring. She looks a little nervous as she looks at the canvas and shakes her arms.
Millie comes out now with Julie Benz behind her. Millie waves to the crowd as she is the one more used to this level of attention. Into the ring goes Millie wearing a blue sports bra with matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair is in a ponytail too. Millie taps her globes together as she looks over at Dafne.
Both women walk to the middle of the ring. The referee goes through their final instructions as the crowd is changing both fighters names, more so Millie's. When told to touch gloves they bump them together and hold them there a little longer then necessary as they stare each other down. Back into their corners they go soon enough before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1:
Crowd roars as the fighters come out their corners, there's a little bit of a tentative start from both, feeling each other out at range before they start to throw more punches. Dafne goes to the body of Millie as she crouches down to land a few short piston like punches. Millie comes back at her with straight punches back into her forehead as the first minute goes by.
Millie catches Dafne with a left hook as the smaller woman tries to move in closer, a straight follows as Millie sees her chance to stamp her authority on the action. Dafne tightens her guard up as Millie looks to ram more punches back into her face, some get through as others land flush on the arms and gloves of Keen. It is allowing Brown to hold the middle of the ring as she herds Keen around the ring.
Before Millie can get too comfortable, Dafne dips under a right cross to ram home a right into her stomach, overland left follows to the cheek of the "Stranger Things" star to twist her head. Millie backs up to reset herself. While Dafne tries to press forwards, Millie gets a jab square into her face to hold her off.
At the bell both women walk back to their corners looking a little tense. Both coaches massaging their fighters arms to keep them loose as Dafne looks across the ring at Millie with a hard stare. Millie on the other hand keenly listening to her coach as they go through what's next in the game plan.
Round 2:
Millie starts the round off nicely with a double jab now her main weapon to hold back Dafne. The "Dark Materials" actress looks annoyed at getting caught on her face with those jabs as she starts to move more side to side. Millie starting to get into a flow it seems as she smacks a few punches flush into the chest of her opponent too.
But Dafne shows her skills to deflect a straight to land a counter right cross into the face of Millie. She closes the distance and goes to work ramming in her fists around the ribs of her foe. Millie finds herself crowded back on the ropes, needing to clinch up to force the referee to step in. Millie looks annoyed as they are broken up at being driven back like that.
Both open up on each other with under a minute to go. Dafne slips a jab to ram home a left hook to the cheek of Millie. Who soon finds herself covering up as Dafne throws a flurry at her to finish the round off. When the bell rings they lock eyes for a brief moment before walking over to their corners.
Round 3:
Bouncing on their toes around the middle of the ring as they exchange single punches. Millie doesn't want to get caught out again by her opponent, Dafne though isn't giving her much time to think when she switches back into a frontal assault. Dafne in her grill working the body predominantly as that's the style she seems keen to use from working with her stablemate Ivana Baquero.
Nudging back Dafne with her left glove. Millie whacks in a short right hook to the jaw of Dafne to make her back up. Millie follows up with a quick fire jab/straight combo to her face. Grabbing back control of the center, where she seems most comfortable as Millie is showing shades of her own stablemate Kate Upton with bullying her opponent around the perimeter of the ring. Each time Dafne throws flashes of punches, Millie lands cleaner shots to push her back to the outside.
There's definitely a bit of biting on the gumshield from Keen in frustration. She lands a few body shots at range but is getting clipped back around her face in reply. The bell soon dings to end proceedings as Dafne bangs her gloves together. Ming-Na looks to cool her off as they chat. Millie on the other hand looks calm as she sits down, Julie telling her she is looking good so far.
Round 4:
Back at it they go with Dafne looking to have calmed down as she boxes with her jab more and is looking for openings. Millie doing a great job holding her at range still with her straight shots. A left hook catches Dafne on her cheek but she does her best to keep her footing to land a left hook to the ribs of Millie. Still Dafne has to back up again to the delight of the Lookout! Corner.
Dafne soon enough dips under another left hook and comes up with an uppercut that knocks Millie back a step. Dafne closes in quickly, ramming her fists back into the abs of her opponent to make her grunt. Millie tries to match her but soon enough clinches up. They do break apart on their own with a little tense stare between them.
Resuming with Dafne looking to keep the pressure on her foe. Millie lands a few solid blows, she gets caught with a left hook on her chin to twist her head before being driven to the ropes. Dafne has her opponent shelling up as she tries to break her down till the round ends. Millie walks past Dafne with a shoulder bump to show some frustration on her part, Dafne gives her a death stare as these two are heating up.
Round 5:
Exchanges are getting a little scruffy as they try to grab control. Millie lands some solid blows to the face of Dafne to back her up. Before Dafne ducks under a hook and comes roaring back as the sound of leather smacking on flesh rings out. Both end up clinched up and trying to power their foe back to the ropes as tempers flare up and pride is on the line.
Broken up Dafne is quickest off the mark to rifle in a left to the abdomen of Millie. Who hisses before a right smacks across her face. Dafne backing her up towards the ropes as she whacks away to the body. Millie forced to hold onto her as Dafne is heard snarling "don't like it there do you?"
Under a minute to go with them apart again. Dafne gets caught coming in with a right cross to her face. Soon a small cut opens up on the bridge of her nose from a right hook as Millie answers her back with several blows across her face to back her up. Dafne swings back as they exchange to the delight of the fans.
At the bell there's a few choice words exchanged as they stand their ground. Referee needing to order them twice back to their corners. Coaches working on keeping their fighters grounded as after five rounds it is so close to call. Both women looking sternly across the ring at their rival as they seem to be learning to hate each other. Not wanting to be second best to them.
Round 6:
Both step out their corners with furious looks on their face. Trading harder blows as they plant their feet more. Sweat flying off their brows as the crowd whistles and cheers. Dafne managed to slip a straight to land a counter left on the chin of Millie, A RIGHT HOOK ON THE JAW PUTS MILLIE ONTO HER BUM AS SHE STUMBLES BACKWARDS!
"Come on then Millie!" Yells Dafne as she stands over her. Millie angrily pushes her stomach to get her back as the referee gets involved to nudge Dafne to the neutral corner. Ming-Na doesn't look pleased by that. 1....2....3... Millie spits a little blow out as her left cheek has a cut inside it. 4....5....6... She gets to her right knee as she watches the count. 7....8... Getting to her feet as Dafne is pacing in the neutral corner. Millie raises her gloves up to show she can fight on.
Back at it they go as Dafne is looking to end things now. It is scruffy work from both again. A missed overhand right by Dafne leads to them clashing bodies. Clinching up they grapple to the ropes and end up with their torsos under the top rope. The referee separates them after getting them back into the ring safely as both want to win this badly.
The bell dings to end the round with Dafne and Millie needing to be kept apart as Millie yells "don't get cocky bytch! I slipped!" Dafne telling her "f**k you!" As she shows that behind her usual quiet demeanor is a devil inside. Both fighters coaches working to calm them down, telling them to take deep breaths as they know both are young and not that used to losing their tempers to this degree. The year of building up to this fight has certainly seemed to play on their minds to bubble things up to this level of animosity.
Round 7:
Dafne is looking to be the aggressor early on. Millie having to keep pushing her off before landing a flush jab/straight combo that makes Dafne think about it as her head snaps back. Millie using that aggression of Dafne against her as she moves to create angles to land counters.
Dafne isn't being aggressive now as she looks puzzled how to keep at Millie. Letting Millie get into a rhythm now as she peppers the face and chest of the Girls Friday fighter. Dafne does come back near the end of the second minute as she catches Millie with a straight onto her chin to back her up.
Both trade at midrange, throwing short bursts of shots. Dafne manages to cut the bottom lip of Millie with a left hook as now both grimace when hit on their cuts. The round comes to a close with both marching back to their corners. Chests are starting to rise quicker, Dafne is certainly being tested here as she is being drawn into the longest bout of her short career. Millie herself hasn't had a ton of fights go long. Both women wiped down of sweat as they take any advice they can.
Round 8:
Stepping back out to resume; Dafne comes out strong, landing a good flush two punch combo under the chin of Millie to knock her back a step. Millie swings back from the back foot as they are certainly open now. Dafne manages to work Millie back against a neutral corners turnbuckles, whacking away at her body till Bobby Brown can clinch up. A few rabbit punches being exchanged by both fighters till they are pushed apart and told to keep it clean.
Dafne looks to have the bit between her teeth as she is keeping in close to force the issue. Millie not so happy as her body has a pink hue where she has taken the most punishment. The Lookout! Fighter needing to push Dafne to her forehead to create space. Landing a right cross to push Keen back onto her heels as she catches her clean through her mitts to her face.
Less then forty seconds to go. It is Brown pushing the pace. Dafne getting caught with more punches to her face. While the smaller fighter tries to get back on the inside, showing some inexperience as she is getting caught too open. The bell rings with both walking back to their corners with hands on their hips. Millie looks to be slightly breathing the harder after all the body work she has taken. Dafne meanwhile spits some blood out as she has a cut on the inside of her right cheek.
Round 9:
Resuming with the crowd still as electric as it was from the start. Both women trade in close as Dafne again looks to push the pace. Millie looks better prepared this time as she moves back and lands several good clean punches square into Dafne's face. NEAR THE END OF THE OPENING MINUTE AN UPPERCUT CATCHES DAFNE FLUSH AND SENDS HER SPRAWLING BACKWARDS TO HER BACK!
Millie doesn't say a word; just stares down at Dafne with fury in her eyes before going to the neutral corner. 1....2....3....4... Dafne groans as she turns to her front and crawls to the ropes. 5....6... This isn't anything new for Dafne being down. 7... The big question is can she show that same toughness late in a fight? 8.... Drags herself to her feet with a little wobble. Turning to the referee, Dafne raises her fists up to show she wants more.
They are waved back together and Millie shows her experience at this level, stepping in closer before using feints to throw off Dafne. Who flinches each time and looks pissed off when nothing comes at her. Dafne looks to close in on Millie with a left hook. MILLIE SIDESTEPS IT AND LANDS A COUNTER RIGHT ACROSS THE FACE OF HER FOE TO ROCK HER INTO THE ROPES. MILLIE LANDS A FOLLOW UP LEFT/RIGHT HOOK AND ONCE DAFNE SAGS INTO THE ROPES, MING-NA THROWS IN THE TOWEL TO SAVE HER FIGHTER! REFEREE STOPPING THE FIGHT!

I guess the mouse impression she does for the cameras is just for show."
She is asked if she thinks this is a long term rivalry, Millie replies quickly "oh for sure. You have seen the issues between our stables. I think me and Dafne are destined to fight for the next decade. I suspect she will be around the title but I'll be the one to stop her. On that note I have beaten Florence Pugh and now Dafne, add the other wins I have, surely all you guys and gals out there think I should be the first challenger of 2024!" That gets a resounding cheer.
Millie waves and blows kisses to the fans before she steps out the ring. She has certainly set her stall out for another big year in 2024.
Millie already has twenty five wins, she has held one world title and keeps showing that she is the heir apparent it seems to Kate Upton to be the face of the Lookout! Stable and maybe the FCBA if she can somehow keep this up.
