Our reporter sits in the Great Room at The Manor, watching baseball and drinking cold beverages with Poindexter Del Crunchy and the Man In The Hat.
Reporter: "So, what did you guys think of the Panettiere/Kendrick fight on the beach?"
Pointy: "Quite the contest, wasn't it?"
Man In The Hat: "Plenty of good stuff to watch at the Olympics...when NBC got out of the way. But, that might have been the most interesting thing to happen in Brazil."
Reporter: "Obviously, no one should be surprised that Hayden won...but, she's been in a bit of a slump..."
Pointy: "Correct. And, Kendrick's been on a roll. But, that's what makes girls like Hayden girls like Hayden. They can BE in a slump and fighting a girl as good as Kendrick, a girl on a roll, and still blast them out."
Man In The Hat: "The Big Man is right as always. Hayden is Hayden. She's a special case. Kendrick's turned into exactly the fighter we thought she could be, though. We're happy about the time she spent in the front office here and we hope it helped keep her name out there so that she could get management again.,."
Pointy: "And, she's got top notch management, too."
Man In The Hat: "Agreed. Diamond Boxing knows what it's doing with this girl."
Reporter: "So, you liked the idea of taking the Panettiere fight?"
Man In The Hat: "Absolutely. No reason not to take that fight. You ALWAYS want a high-profile fight like that, especially against someone like Hayd. It's win/win. If you pull the upset, that's huge, but, even if you lose, you get some major exposure against an elite fighter and anything at all you show makes you look good."
Reporter: "You think Anna will be OK after the post-fight activities?"
Man In The Hat: "She'll be fine. She's a mentally strong kid. She's very smart. She knew what was likely to happen if she lost. She's not going to go all Rousey and disappear for a year. She'll be back. And she'll be just as good as ever. In fact, she'll likely be better. Because, fighting Hayd will do that for you. Now. Let's watch some ball, shall we?"
