Our reporter and his blonde companion sit watching baseball at Bazz with Cassandra Lynn Scerbo, Poindexter Del Crunchy, and the Man In The Hat.
Reporter: "So, guys, some interesting action this weekend..."
Pointy: "More wins for Kendall and Alexis. Got to think one or both are going to be in line for a title shot at some point soon..."
Man In The Hat: "No doubt. Two of the best lights in the world."
Cassie: "The World Cup was a lot of fun. Not surprised to see James win it..."
Man In The Hat: "Me, either. Tough draw for Kerr getting Lily in the first round. She could have won that thing..."
Tess: "Who else impressed you?"
Cassie: "Give it to Ming Xi. She was a dog in the first round and made it all the way to the finals..."
Man In The Hat: "Gonzalez. That was a big win for her. She's still got time to make the run a lot of folks thought she was going to make at some point."
Pointy (smiling): "I see Tessarabia is sniping at Queens..."
Tess: "I'm not sniping. I'm making a point. It's not who's the biggest, it's who's the best."
Reporter: "YOU used to be the biggest stable, Wiz..."
Man In The Hat: "That's correct. 18 members. And, you'll remember why we adjusted to a smaller roster. 18 worked just fine at the time we put that model together. But. The FCBA changed with the arrival of stables like Fates and VIXENs. We were on a five-a-year schedule for most fighters, which was fine. But, with 18 girls, you'd sometimes go three months with one of our girls not getting a fight. That was OK until those new stables got here and started working their girls far more often. All of a sudden, we were getting lost in the shuffle, not keeping up, becoming afterthoughts. So, we adjusted. Cut the roster to 14, got to a six-or-more fights a year model. Now, unless it's intentional. nobody sits for three months. Our girls are more active. It's the model you need for today's FCBA."
Tess: "It seems to be working. You're getting title shots..."
Man In The Hat: "It is. No question. It is. And, we're going to stick with it. Now. Let's watch some ball, shall we?"
