(Lioness Club of America vs Lookout! Boxing)
(70-29, 58 KO vs 120-32, 117 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: A true clash of the titans is just minutes away with Brooklyn Decker celebrating her 100th official FCBA fight tonight. There were only two serious candidates considered for this special moment and one of them - Charlize Theron - was ruled out thanks to a shaky role her current manager played in Brooklyn's Front Street Gym departure all those years ago. Meanwhile Kate Upton was very much ready to take the challenge as both blonde models basically battle to become heir to Theron's GOAT throne despite some fans & experts saying nobody will ever replace the South African Goddess in their own right. That's a debate for another day as here come the elite with a capital 'E' heroines!
Brooklyn Decker wears a yellow bikini set & black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Kate Upton wears an orange & silver bikini set & brown gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.
Round 1:
Kate intends to spoil the Ohio party like any proud Wolverines fan would and she takes Brooklyn for a slugging ride early in the going and while she wins the dispute by the numbers, she doesn't really hurt the fellow blonde and still eats a solid round of counter-punches from behind the guard to make the action look more even than originally expected. Brooklyn doesn't want to yield an inch and Kate's had enough of these hard battles over the years she's more prone to be upset IF anyone can call a potential Decker victory like that tonight. BLONDE! Magazine stays impartial but Tess Valmore picked Upton to win so there's one extra drink for the Tennessee's finest as Mrs. Verlander cleans up the house aka Decker's midriff in the final minute to run away with the early points.
Round 2:
Brooklyn realizes she has to carry more raw power early to throw Kate off her game and she chases a head-hunting rally in the opening minute to find enough success that visibly unsettles the Michigan model in the process. Brooklyn's attack maybe lacks diversity but that's not required when you own a supreme punch and Upton begins to feel the point blank range heat while she's unable to mount a meaningful response in the phone booth and gets wobbled back after a jug-to-jug contact as well. She tries to mount immediate rally from her heels but eats more overhand misery and gets punted back to the ropes where she hangs on in a rather desperate clinch.
Round 3:
Brooklyn hits the home run early and slams a left hook into the fellow blonde's jaw before dropping a one-two series on her mouth as well. The sheer force of that combo wobbles Kate onto her heels and she gets spiked by another vicious combo up the middle shortly afterwards. She tries to avoid the immediate tangle by deking to the side however this is where Brooklyn catches her with a left hook again and jumps into an uppercut rally that catches both the jugs and Upton's chin in short order. And the self-proclaimed Queen of Boxing buckles under the onslaught! She gets hammered back to the post with Decker heating up all the way to smack more hits on target including a left hook on the temple that FLOORS KATE amid a wild cheer from the audience. Oh yes! The Michigan stunner crashes down on her knees and shakes her head in visible discomfort during the count. But it's not over by any means! She's up at eight and gives it another try... only for Decker to thump her back onto the turnbuckle and pour more heat that would make Theron proud! Ref has to pull the Ohio model off her prey at the bell and there's some verbal animosity on display as well.
Rounds 4 & 5:
Brooklyn seeks the ultimate finish and bounces Kate around the ring in elite slugging fashion for lack of a better comparison. She makes Upton look awfully mediocre but she doesn't quite lace her up with that supreme power supply anymore and has to settle for artistic impression value. Them judges should give the anniversary model the unofficial edge after all, right? Brooklyn carving a couple of lumps on Kate's face can't hurt those prospects and the Ohio state model extends her lead on the card thumping and bumping 'The Queen' around the ring. She avoids chasing the vintage jug muggin' route but she doesn't really have to, Upton remains stuck in neutral and keeps leaking more punches to even leave coach Julie Benz puzzled at half-distance. Decker leads on the cards wide and...
Round 6:
...it almost doesn't matter as Upton catches the huge slugging wind early on the sixth and drops the hammer to punish the fellow blonde's rack before carrying a stray elbow between the cups as well. Brooklyn gets sucked into a swarming vacuum moments later and loses her balance often enough to suddenly lose all the momentum and only suffer from Kate's powerful striking. Just like that the league's p4p leader is back on top and she NAILS the Ohio model on the nose causing blood spillage to upset everyone in the LCA corner. And Kate wants more! She pounds away in fury and blows up Decker's high-guard while trapping her on the turnbuckle wholesale. Brooklyn tries to escape the hole but succumbs to the slugging pressure and eats more chin shots before a wild heater tags her on the left ear and SENDS DOWN FOR THE COUNT late in the going! Uh-oh!!! Upton is back from the abyss and makes some gestures aimed at Claudia Schiffer during the count. Decker looks somewhat rattled here but is saved by the bell that sounds at the last moment and leaves Upton fuming over in the neutral corner!
Rounds 7 & 8:
Brooklyn tries to avoid the incoming Michigan rush and does a good job with that early in the seventh but she can't stop Upton in her tracks and has to more or less react to her opponent's moves more than anything. Counter-punching is not what Decker does best and it shows by the numbers as she leaks enough punches to cut a defensive figure in the ring with Kate assuming a clear advantage even though she's unable to build on the knockdown reset. Fatigue starts to creep in with more clinching and Upton appears to be fine with the stalemate tactics as we head into the eight where she still bumps Decker in jug-to-jug contact before a couple of standing headlocks further delay the action. Brooklyn recovers late to punish the midriff but doesn't really find the early success anymore and looks flustered when Upton taunts her over running out of gas here. Woof! A last-gasp hook tears a small gash under Brooklyn's eye right at the bell and she's even more bemused by how this fight is going...
Round 9:
It's anyone's for the taking according to BLONDE! Magazine until Brooklyn's slugging push runs out of steam half-way through the ninth and leaves her eating more punches over the top instead. Kate doesn't carry that premium power anymore but Decker's legs stay behind and she sits right in the Michigan model's range to soak up a heavy dose before taking a sudden body charge that drills the liver area as well. Ugh! Brooklyn gets caught out low and signs off with a whimper as Upton SMACKS that one liver bomb she needed to SEND THE OHIO BLONDE DOWN ON HER KNEES for the second time tonight! And this time it really hurts Decker beyond the limits. She tries to make it through the count but simply can't and stays down on her knees hugging the aching midriff... the ref tries to be extra sympathetic but ten is always ten.... even when it lasts sixteen seconds per Erin Andrews in the booth. Nope, it is over and Kate Upton spoils the milestone KO9 style!!!
AFTER: "I have a lot of sympathy for Brooks but let's be honest, Paris (Hilton) bet on the right horse! We waited for our turn but it IS our turn to shine. It's been Kate time for a long time! Even Tess Valmore is my friend now while Brooks ended up on her way out! Buy hey, she will always have that Best of 7 over Hannah Ferguson! Not too shabby but just not in my league!", Kate steals the post-fight interview until Claudia Schiffer tells her to beat it. Nothing that some free drinks couldn't solve and Kate is off to the bar leaving Brooklyn Decker to face the scrutiny: "Well, I kinda had this one in the bag and then I lost it... it's a shame... you only have the #100th fight once and it didn't work out... I don't think I'll last to see #200 so it is what it is... at least I'm not set for the Hall of Fame anytime soon... but yeah, I'll be back no matter what... still have some unfinished business overall... and don't expect me to pass on another Hannah (Ferguson) deal one way or another! Kate is good but there are more leafs on this tree... or whatever... I need a drink..."
Official Result: Kate Upton def. Brooklyn Decker KO9.
