Jenny McCarthy vs. Jessica Chastain

For an opening round of this Cougar tourney, Jenny and Jessica’s brawl had all the makings of a main event, with both ladies going all out to bash and bruise each other for a good eight rounds. The blonde and redhead had fought once before, in 2020, where Chastain knocked McCarthy out in five rounds. That simply meant McCarthy vowed to make a comeback in this tournament, especially when another of her hated nemeses, Kate Beckinsale, was in the other bracket.
The first few rounds saw both ladies clashing repeatedly in the center, rapid swings and powerful shots plowing into each other’s arms and bodies to start. Chastain looking dashing in her red sports bra and long tights, methodically taking McCarthy’s haphazard defenses apart with jabs continuously landing to her face. McCarthy soon seething, blasting the Doll back across her chin to earn a scare at the end of the third.
Middle rounds and both ladies pick up the pace, defying the pundits who claim both mid-tier fighters are at the end of their prime. Chastain moves fast and keeps herself away from Jenny’s wild swings. Meanwhile, Jenny is turning the tide with her aggression, keeping the pressure up and just roaring and ripping hooks into Chastain’s frame whenever an opportunity presents itself. Chastain is not used to this aggression, and for several frames, it looks like McCarthy is seeing Beckinsale’s face pinned on Chastain’s forehead, the way she plows another hook into her arms before smacking a left hand into her tummy.
But the seesaw action continues, with Chastain soon capitalizing on her energy reserves and exploiting McCarthy’s own lack thereof. The facial punches begin to add up, lefts and rights snapping McCarthy’s head back and leaving her slack-jawed and on the ropes multiple times. Referee has to pause the action to give the blonde some breath to recover, but each time, it ain’t much, and Chastain just roars back in to pummel the beleaguered blonde all over. A final series to the face has Jenny slack-jawed and breathing hard, powerless to stop another combo sunk into her nose and lips, before a textbook hook sends her spiraling off her feet and DOWN to the canvas! McCarthy valiantly attempts to recover, but doesn’t make it back up in time! The referee WAVES it off!
