TESS VALMORE.
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much maligned predictions, As usual, it is littered with unflattering comments, unjustified criticism and cheap shots. Last month, I went 39-12 in predictions running my total to 3588-1062
Or 77% correct.
CHRISTINE BLEAKLY/CHARLIZE THERON. I am not allowed to predict a Theron fight, but you know the rule. When in doubt, go with the blonde
EMMA ROBERTS/CHRISSEY COSTANZA Constanza made her debut last month beating Millie Bobby Brown. Emma Roberts is 5-5 in her last ten. Constanza was impressive in her debut. I will go with her to remain undefeated in her second fight.
BELLA THORNE/TROIAN BELLISARIO. Thorne lost a title fight in the April PPV, but has won seven of her last ten. Bellisario has won five of her last ten. She is slightly smaller than Thorne and twelve years older. I have to to with Thorne
NELL TIGER FREE/SADIE SINK. Sadie Sink is 21 years old and made her debut last year winning three and losing three. This will be her first fight of the year. Tiger Free has a career record of 20-9 and has won six of her last ten. She has a two inch height advantage. The height didn’t help her as she has already fought Sink once and got KOed in six. I think Tiger Free will get revenge by winning in five
NINA AGDAL/KIM CLOUTIER Agdal has a 54-22 career record and has won seven of her last ten. One of those losses was DiDonato in a title fight in last month’s PPV. She held the Unified Lightweight title last year. Cloutier made her debut in 2017 but has only had three fights winning one. Her last fight was in November 2021. She is five years older and slightly taller than her opponent.
Agdal should win in four.
SOMMER RAY/HILARY DUFF. Ray made her debut in 2021 and has had two bouts losing both, the last one to Santoro. Duff is 35 and has a career record of 10-21. She has lost seven of her last ten, but is coming off a big upset win over Sophie Mudd in a JMD fight in the May PPV. Ray is nine years younger, but more importantly she is four inches taller. Ray will win.
MADISON BEER/VICTORIA JUSTICE. Beer has a 13-13 career record. She is 3-1 for the year, but has lost seven of her last ten. Justice has a combined record of 29-38 and is 21-32 in the FCBA. She has won five of her last ten. I think this is a 50/50 fight. I will go with Justice. Don’t ask me why.
DOVE CAMERON/EMMA WATSON Cameron was the flyweight champ last year. Watson held the title in 2020 and was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame. Both fighters has won six of their last ten. Boxing World has Cameron ranked at three in the flyweights and Watson at nine. Despite these two high profile being in the FCBA for nine years, they have never fought each other.
I will go with Watson to win
NATALIE ALYN LIND/ANYA TAYLOR JOY. Two highly ranked bantams. Lind has won Lind has won six of her last ten with wins over Portman and Olivia Holt in her last two. Taylor Joy has won seven of her last ten with losses being to Chopra, Weaving and Olsen. Boxing World has Taylor Joy ranked at eight in the bantams and Lind at ten. Taylor Joy has a two inch height advantage. I have to go with Taylor Joy. After all, she is the next Furiosa
PEYTON ROI LIST/MELISSA BENOIST. List has a career record of 15-12 with most of those wins coming in her stay at Front Street. This is her maiden fight under the umbrella of the Consortium. She has won six of her last ten but lost her last three. Benoist is beginning to look like a lost cause. She has lost eight of her last ten with one of those losses being to List by a KO7. This is another of those 50/50 fights. I will go with List to repeat.
MICHELLE WILLIAMS/MADDIE ZIEGLER. Michelle Williams is one of the FCBA greats. Her number of fights is second only to the great Theron and she is in the Hall of Fame. She has held nine Unified Flyweight titles. Now 42 she is showing some signs of slowing down, but not by much. She has won seven of her last ten. Zeigler is ranked at eight in Boxing Worlds flyweight rankings while Williams has fallen to fifteen Ziegler is almost two inches taller and twenty two years younger. I am going with Zeigler’s youth, but won’t be shocked if this prediction proves wrong.
NATALIE PORTMAN/BILLIE EILISH. Portman is another of the great Consortium fighters that is aged. She is now 42 and has held the Unified Flyweight title eleven times and is another Consortium member of the Hall of Fame. She has won six of her last ten. Eilish has been in the FCBA for years and is undefeated in twenty two fights and has beaten Dove Cameron this year. I have a hard time believing Eilish can make 110. The only weight information I could find in a brief search was she weighed 126, but then there were articles about her weight loss so I don’t know if 126 was before the loss or after. Any way I am going to take a chance on youth as Eilish is twenty one years younger.
MILLIE BOBBY BROWN/OLIVIA RODRIGO. Millie Bobby Brown at the age of nineteen won sixteen straight and the Unified Flyweight title before losing her first fight to Lavigne. Her record now is 17-3 after losing three of her last four dropping to seventeen in Boxing Worlds flyweight rankings. Rodrigo is another who broke into the FCBA at the age of eighteen. She has won fourteen straight. The difference between the two is the competition. Brown has fought the tougher schedule although she lost to Lavigne who Rodrigo has beaten. While Rodrigo is listed as thirty seven in the bantams. I am going to go with Brown, but I am not betting any of my money on this prediction
NATASHA CALIS/DEMI LOVATO Calis made her FCBA debut in January of this year and has had three fights winning them all. Lovato is a veteran with a 47-30-1 record. She has held the bantam title once back in 2019. She has lost six of her last ten which happened to be her last six. Calis has a five inch height advantage. I have to go with Calis with her big height advantage.
KYLIE JENNER/BRIANA MARIE DALE..This fight has been transferred to a stand alone beach fight.
SANDRA KUBICKA/NERIAH FISHER I have to admit that I am high on Sandra Kubicka and have had her as a comer to the top ten lightweights. She has a record of 25-10 and has won eight of her last ten. Fisher has a record of 8-4 and has won five of her last six against good competition. I have to go with Kubicka
HAILEE STEINFELD/LUCY PINDER. Steinfeld has an unremarkable 10-13 record
But has won seven of her last ten. She has won her two fights this year over Sweeney and Zendaya. Pinder, now 39, has a combined record of 16-35 with her FCBA record being 11-16. She has lost seven of her last ten. I think Steinfeld is going to win
STEPHANIE McMAHON/CHARLOTTE FLAIR. (JMD)
ROXANNE PEREZ/ALEXA DEMIE. Perez made her debut last year. She has had a grand total of two fights winning one. Demie made her debut this year, losing to Panettiere. I really don’t have a clue and neither has the good fortune of being blonde. I will take a chance on Perez. She is eleven years younger than Demi
JANET MONTGOMERY/DAISEY RIDLEY Montgomery made her debut in 2019 and has had three fights losing two. Ridley is a veteran of thirty three FCBA fights and has a 15-18 record and has lost nine of the last ten. In contrast her BBU record is 12-2. Montgomery is older, but I will take a chance on Montgomery.
CHERYL COLE/MILEY CYRUS..Cole has a FCBA record of 51-17 and has won seven of her last ten. Cyrus has a 29-31 record and has won five of her last ten
She is nine years younger than Cole. It won’t help her. Cole will win
CHOLE GRACE MORETZ/JADE RASIF. Moretz has a 27-22 record and has won six of her last ten. Rasif has had four fights, winning two. This will be her first fight of the year. Moretz has a two inch height advantage. That’s enough. Moretz will win
JESSICA LOWNDES/CREE CICCHINO This will be Lowndes 98th fight with 61 wins. Those are Hall of Fame numbers but she won’t be getting into the hall soon because of her JMD fights. She has won seven of her last ten. Cicchino has a 37-13 record and also has won seven of her last ten. Cicchino is fourteen years younger but Lowndes is bigger. Cicchino was on her way to stardom when her stable suddenly closed. All depends on if she can find a stable. In this fight, Lowndes will win.
KELLY ROHRBACH/GEORGIA MAE GIBBS. Rohrback has won eight of her last ten and has a 41-21 career record. Back in 2019, after putting up great numbers in her first two years of fighting, Gibbs was in the top ten lightweights. Then is 2020, her career started going North (Remember going South is good. Going North is bad) She now has a career record of 24-21and has lost nine of her last eleven. Rohrbach will add another W to her record.
CASSIDY FREEMAN/LORELLA BOCCIA. Freeman is now 41 years old and has a career record of 33-27-1. She has won six of her last ten fighting average fighters. Boccia has a career record of 23-9 with fairly heavy fighting at JMD/D. She is 5-5 in her last ten. She has fought far better competition than Freeman. She is looking for a stable after IBB shut down. A win here may help her. A loss definitely will hurt her. She has more at stake than Freeman. Boccia will win.
AMANDA RIGHETTI/KAREN GILLAN. You know the drill. I never bet against Righetti even if she is fighting Seal Team Seven. Righetti wins
AMANDA TRIVIZAS/CAYLEE COWAN. Trivizas looks like a carbon copy of Demi Rose Odds & Ends is beginning to look like, if you lay the entire stable on their stomach, you could land a 747 on them. She’s off to a good start winning three of four with wins including a win over Ratajkowski with her lone loss being to Kosarin. Cowan has lost eight of twelve and has lost eight of her last ten. Trivizas will win in five.
ELIZABETH OLSEN/HALSTON SAGE. Olsen has fought 101 fights and won 66. She is not in the Hall of Fame due to three JMD fights. She needs one more fight
After this one and then needs to win it. She is in a little funk losing three of five this year. Sage has a 4-4 record after winning her last four. I think it is little early in experience for her to fight Olsen. Olsen in six.
AMBER HEARD/ADRIANNE PALICKI Heard’s career in Hollywood is basically over and I believe she has moved to Spain. She has a 13-19 record after losing five of her last six. I think Heard’s FCBA record is just about over. Adrianne has
Had a tough time recently losing six of her last ten. There is no more dangerous fighter than the “chin checker” The five time lightweight/welter champion will flatten Heard
AMBER NOVA/BARBARA JEAN BLANK Nova made her debut in January and has won one of two both fights against wrestlers. Blank is also a wrestler who has a 2-5 record. Nova, a wrestler herself, is soon going to run out of wrestler competition. Nova is a little shorter, but younger. I think Nova will win.
JORDANA BREWSTER/DEVON AOKI. Brewster, who is now 43, has been in the FCBA for 22 years and has a record of 8-20. She has lost her last eight with her last win being in January 2012. Aoki has an 0-3 record with her last fight being in September 2007. Who thought this bout up? Brewster will win.
SAYUKI MATSUMOTO/HAYLEY ATWELL. Matsumoto has a combined record of 18-10., but in the FCBA the record is 1-3. That one win came in March of this year. Atwell has a FCBA record of 15-16 and has lost seven of her last ten. Atwell is now 41 and is older and smaller than Matsumoto. That makes me think that Matsumoto will win
NATA LEE/SAOIRSE RONAN Nata Lee has had seven fights losing four. Those four losses were in her last five fights. Ronan has a 13-12 record and she lost seven of eight fights last year. Nata Lee is bigger and younger. Lee will win.
HARUMI NEMOTO/DEMI ROSE MAWBY. Nemoto has a combined record of 20-14 with a FCBA record of 17-10. She has won seven of her last ten. This is the first time I have seen Demi Rose use her last name. She has an FCBA record of 35-15 and has won seven of her last ten. She has also held the Unified Bantam title. Mawby is fifteen years younger but three inches smaller then Nemoto. I will go with Mawby despite Nemoto’s height advantage.
MIKIE HARA/MAKI ITOH. Hara has been quite successful in the BBU, but started fighting in the FCBA last year and lost all three of her fights. This is Itoh’s FCBA debut. She has a 2-0 record in the BBU. Itoh is younger but Hara is slightly bigger. I have to admit, I am not up to date on Asian fighters, but I will go with Itoh
MARIA OZAWA/MAISIE WILLIAMS. Ozawa is another fighter who has a fine BBU record but is 1-3 in the FCBA. Her win came this year when she beat Blank. Williams has a combined record of 24-25 but is 13-19 in the FCBA.
She has lost seven of her last ten. Those seven losses were in her in her last seven fights. Williams is ten years younger but three inches smaller than Ozawa.
This time I will go with height. Ozawa will win
SOPHIE MUDD/MARTINA VISMARA. JMD
KELLI BERGLUND/OLIVIA HOLT. Berglund has been in the FCBA for six years, but has only had seven fights losing five. Holt has held the flyweight title twice.
She has a career record of 30-14. Since losing her last title in July 2021 she has gone into a little funk losing five of nine. Age and height are not factors. Holt in four.
DANIELLE PANABAKER/CANDICE PATTON. Panabaker has a career record of 3-7. She has lost her last four and her last win was in August 2018. Patton has a
7-11 career record and she has lost eight of her last ten. Age is not a factor but Panabaker is three inches taller. I have to again go with height. Panabaker will get a rare win.
KATE UPTON/BROOKLYN DECKER. This is Decker’s 100th fight but doesn’t mean much as far as the Hall of Fame in concerned. Ten of those 100 fights have been at JMD/D. Now as far as this fight is concerned I am friends with Kate, so I have to go with Kate to win. Facing an upset Kate because I picked Decker is something I don’t want to face.
LILY COLLINS/ELISHA HERBERT. This is in the stupid category that I refuse to justify with a prediction
VANESSA HUDGES. This if for the title in that division I refuse to justify with a prediction.
MIA KHALIFA/PAIGE SPIRANAC JMD Title
KARA DEL TORO/ALEXANDRA DADDARIO. JMDD Title
STANA KATIC/YVONNE STRAHOVSKI. Since joining the FCBA Katic has been quite successful with a 28-6 record. Her competition has been fine for a fighter her age. She has won nine of her last ten. Strahovski is a four time lightweight champion. She is in the Hall of Fame with an 82-42 record. The two have fought once before with Strahovski beating Katic in the semi-finals of the Jaguar tournament. I see no reason why Yvonne will not repeat and take the title from Stana.
AVRIL LAVIGNE/JENNA ORTEGA. For the Unified Flyweight Title. This is Avril’s third defense. She is in the Hall of Fame and I have to admit I wasn’t happy inducting her, but rules are rules. Her post fight conduct is terrible. Ortega has only had seven fights winning six. Her only loss was to Millie Bobby Brown and she has already beaten Lavigne once. Ortega is seventeen years younger than Lavigne. I must say I really hope Ortega takes the title, but I don’t think it is going to happen in this fight. Lavigne keeps the title
KIRA KOSARIN/SELENA GOMEZ. For the Unified Bantamweight Title. This will be Kosarin’s third title defense. She has won her last eleven defeating Bella Thorne and Demi Rose Mawby in title defenses. Gomez has won eight of her last ten. She has won all five of her fights this year but her opposition was on the unimpressive side. I think that Kosarin will retain the title
EMILY DIDONATO/TAYLOR HILL. For the Unified Lightweight Title. This will be DiDonato’s fourth title defense. She has won eight of her last ten with the losses being to Righetti and Tahnee Atkinson in non title bouts. Hill is a former lightweight champ. She has won nine of her last ten with her loss being to Agdal. The two fought last year with Hill winning by a KO6. I think that Hill will repeat that win and be the new lightweight champ
BLAKE LIVELY/HANNAH FERGUSON. For the Unified Welterweight Title. This will be Lively’s third title defense. She has won nine of her last ten with her only loss being to Lily James in a title fight. Her victims in the recent fights have included lightweights and even a bantam. Ferguson has won ten of her last eleven with the one loss being to Tahnee Atkinson who she has also beaten in the last eleven. Her recent fight schedule has not been impressive. I have to go with Lively to defend her title.
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much maligned predictions, As usual, it is littered with unflattering comments, unjustified criticism and cheap shots. Last month, I went 39-12 in predictions running my total to 3588-1062
