BEFORE:
"Oh, I know my role," says Debby without a hint of a smile. "Sacrificial lamb for Front Street's rising star. I KNOW my role. But, I don't ACCEPT it. I didn't come here to job for her. I CAME here to kick her ass."
"I have a lot of respect for Debby," says Billie with a nod. "She's got talent and maybe hasn't had the opportunities she should have. But. Tonight? She's going down."
ROUND ONE:
O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Best Year' you're hearing, and here comes the singer of that tune, the lovely Debby Ryan..."
McCarthy: "And, before either of you say anything, YES she has FCBA wins and she's STILL a stiff!"
O'Dell: "Ryan into the ring and helped off with the robe and that scarlet bikini she's wearing makes it pretty clear that she's well qualified for JMD..."
Tess: "But, surprisingly, she only has one JMD fight, a loss to former champ Jessica Lowndes last year..."
O'Dell: "And, that's 'You Should See Me In A Crown' pounding through the arena, and here comes the singer of that tune, 'Buxom' Billie Eilish!"
Cassie: "And, talking about girls who are off to a great start for Front Street, Billie's won 21 straight and five of her last six wins have been at JMD...the other was a huge PPV win over Dove Cameron."
O'Dell: "Billie into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, and she's looking plenty good in that emerald number we've seen before if the crowd reaction is any indication. Ladies about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Billie. Mac?"
McCarthy: "Two more tomato cans...but, I'm going with Ryan!"
O'Dell: "Cassie?"
Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"
O'Dell: "And, we're underway, and Ryan quickly making with the jab. Redhead wants some space here, and that's probably not a bad idea at all, considering the opposition. There's not a lot of percentage in banging inside with Eilish, so Debby's going to try another tack..."
Cassie: "Question is, can she enforce terms."
O'Dell: "And, the answer, for the moment at least, is 'yes and no'. At times Ryan able to work at range, and, when she can, she's having the better of it. But, Eilish angling, moving those dancer's feet of hers, getting inside to bang, and, when she does that, it's all Billie..."
McCarthy: "Ref has to watch for low blows!"
O'Dell: "I'm sure he's doing that, and I haven't seen any to this point. We're coming down the stretch in a closely-fought first. Ryan with a nice combination at range. Billie working forward, banging a little body, and there's the bell. A close one, but Debby's going to get the points..."
Tess: "And the 10-9 lead."
ROUND TWO:
O'Dell: "Second begins with Billie getting inside and working over Ryan to the body. Debby being backed up and touched up now, as Eilish hooks ribs and tummy, goes upstairs, then back down, bangs a little rack before landing a nice right hook to the head. Redhead in retreat..."
Tess: "Nice adjustment by Eilish here..."
O'Dell: "She's certainly made one. Ryan can't get the jab on and can't enforce distance, and that's not a going well for her, and Eilish is getting much the better of things inside. Ryan trying to tie up, but Billie levers with her shoulder, goes right back to the tummy to get some work in..."
McCarthy: "WATCH THE LOW BLOWS YOU HOMETOWN REF!"
O'Dell: "Fifteen seconds remaining in what's been a great round for Billie. Eilish going rack in there now. Ryan tying up, hanging on, trying to slow this down. Younger woman shoves off, lands a nice right hook to the head, and there's the bell. No question about this one. Billie. Wide."
Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."
ROUND THREE:
O'Dell: "Into the third and Ryan the one making the adjustment now. Debby giving some ground, doubling up on that jab, working harder and smarter to get the distance she wants. Billie trying to work in, but having much less success than she did in the previous round..."
Cassie: "Debby really working the feet."
O'Dell: "Is, indeed. She's not dancing, not doing the jab and circle, but she's in motion all the time, laterally and, at times, backward. She's willing to trade canvas for time here, and it's working for her. She's landing the left, following on with rights, landing to the rack a bit..."
McCarthy: "And, she's keeping the Dancing Hooker off..."
O'Dell: "Which has been the key this stanza. We're down under 20 seconds to go in the third. Nice combination by Ryan and there's another, snapping Billie's head back with a right hand. Five seconds left, and Debby will leg this one out. There's the bell. Ryan. Wide."
Tess: "And Debby's back in the lead 29-28."
ROUND FOUR:
O'Dell: "Debby working the jab and the feet, trying to maintain the distance she wants. Eilish working forward, moving the head, keeping the hands high, getting past the redhead's defenses and going to work on the body. She's hooking ribs and rack. Ryan ties up. Hangs on, forces a break."
Tess: "Billie's upped the aggression here, Jenny..."
O'Dell: "Definitely has. She's determined to get physical with the redhead, while Ryan continues to try to keep her off. Eilish inside and ROCKS DEBBY WITH A SHORT RIGHT HOOK! Ryan staggered and EILISH GOES RACK! Billie hammering away at the jugs. Debby trying to cover up and DOWN SHE GOES! Right uppercut!"
Cassie: "That might do it..."
O'Dell: "Billie to a neutral corner. Debby flat on her back, not moving at all as the referee counts down at her. Three. Four. Five. This is going to be academic. Six. Seven. Still no movement. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Debby is down and out and it's OVER! And your winner by KO4 is 'Buxom' Billie Eilish!"
McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"
AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"
Tess: "I have our winner, Billie Eilish, and, Billie, she gave you some trouble in spots..."
Billie (nodding): "She's a good fighter, has plenty of skill, so she can do things. What she CAN'T do is stand up to me physically. Eventually, I was going to get her. And, that's just what I did."
Tess: "What's next for you? More JMD?"
Billie (smiling): "Could be. Could be the beach, maybe something at fly or bantam. Doesn't matter to me. I'll let management worry about that. I just can't wait to get back to work."
