Late Night Before the Bell: A Chat with Chrissy and Krysten
Episode 12
2023-05-27
From Studio 1D at Queens Complex, the Queens of Absolution presents: Late Night Before the Bell with special guest host Saraya! Our guests tonight: hailing from New Jersey she’s a singer and about to become an incredible boxer: Chrissy Costanza! From Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, the beautiful raven haired Krysten Ritter! And now, SARAYA!
(Crowd cheers wildly as Saraya appears in her usual boxing attire with the exception of a black jacket which is zipped up).
Saraya: Let it out. That’s right, let it out!
(The crowd gives Saraya a standing ovation before finally settling down)
Saraya: What can I say after that? Oh, the Queens still stand on the first place playing field!
(Crowd cheers)
Saraya: Those were one hell of a roundup of fights last night. I should know - I was there. I know for some of you your local ABC affiliate did switch away after a certain incident but rest assured that you will be able to watch the full Pay-Per-View through your normal PPV outlets in the coming days and ABC will be airing those Queens matches that occurred on the 26th but were cutaway as well.
(Crowd applauds in agreement)
Saraya: Now our guests for tonight. She needs no introduction after pulling off a stunning upset in her debut match which was against former Unified Flyweight Title holder Millie Bobby Brown of Lookout! Boxing, Against the Current singer Chrissy Costanza! And you know her from various roles including ‘Jessica Jones’ which she certainly brought out last night against Anne Hathaway, Krysten Ritter!
(Saraya makes her way to the roundtable where Krysten Ritter, wearing a tight navy blue dress and Chrissy Costanza wearing a tight black dress; both girls having their hair styled loose and free flowing, are sitting. Even sitting, the height difference between both women are obvious with Krysten at a staggering 5’9” over Chrissy’s 5’1”)
Saraya: Let’s start things off by talking about one of the most shocking moments of the night. Krysten, we knew you were strong and that’s why you and Elyse participate at welterweight but holy sh*t. You were mercilessly meticulous out there last night against Anne Hathaway and she’s never done anything against you nor her stable, Global Boxing Syndicate.
Krysten Ritter: She got in my way in rankings.
Saraya: So that was all over rankings?
Krysten Ritter: I was also having a really bad night and wanted to send a clear message that no one f*cks with me.
Saraya: So you broke Anne’s nose! From my understanding, the entire front row could hear that as you laid the final blow which finished the match.
Krysten Ritter: Hathaway just ended up being the poor girl who got me on my bad day. But I would do it again - I don’t have regrets and if GBS turns this into something with the Queens or if Anne turns this into something with me then they’ll find out why it’s not a good idea to cross me.
Saraya: You really did bring out your inner ‘Jessica Jones’ last night.
(Audience laughs)
Krysten Ritter: (smiling) Well, what can I say?
Saraya: Let’s switch over to what is likely to be one of the other talking points of the FCBA press: the massive upset of Millie Bobby Brown being defeated by Chrissy Costanza in her debut match. Chrissy, how does it feel to be in such a position now?
Chrissy Costanza: It feels great! I mean, when Millie and I got into a shoving match in March to War I knew I wanted to return the favor; last night I got my chance.
Saraya: And Madelyn Cline?
Chrissy Costanza: (smiling) She said she’d be watching closely and I wanted to give her something special. I wanted to give the audience something special.
Saraya: That you did. The Paige Turner.
Chrissy Costanza: Being deceitfully strong has its advantages.
Saraya: I bet it does. I’ve helped train you, I know. Are there any last words either of you want to say?
Chrissy Costanza: Millie, stay down. The feud between the Queens and Lookout! Boxing puts you as my number one target and I don’t think you want to be as humiliated as you were last night.
Krysten Ritter: Anne, from whatever hospital you’re watching this from, know I meant every word and every punch.
Saraya: Okay, those are fighting words from both the new wave of Queens and the original wave of Queens alike. Alright everyone, if you’re looking for the other Pay-Per-View matches they will air as an ABC special, Queens After Dark: the May ’23 PPV Special next week.
Until then, we wish you all a wonderful night and safe weekend. Goodnight from Los Angeles!
