Our reporter and his blonde companion sit in chairs in front of the Man In The Hat's desk in his office at The Manor. On a huge overstuffed couch to their right sit Poindexter Del Crunchy and Cassandra Lynn Scerbo, the latter with her bare feet on a huge overstuffed Ottoman.
Reporter: "Quite a pay-per-view, gang. Lots of big fights..."
Cassie: "And lots of big wins. Dove's back in form. Another great performance from Moretz. Berglund's got something going. And Ortega beating Mishy is huge."
Pointy: "Decker, Ferguson, and Ratchford all looked great..."
Tess: "I hear tell Stuhlmann was on your shortlist after Perry retired..."
Man In The Hat (smiling): "We certainly scouted her. Lots of tools there. Not as many as Marie has, however."
Pointy: "And, that was a huge win by Willerton. That girl is going to get a welterweight title shot, I'd wager."
Reporter: "Speaking of girls Front Street likes a lot, big win for Spiranac..."
Man In The Hat: "And, no surprise to me. That girl has the goods. And let's not forget about Troi, who came up very big against a very good fighter."
Cassie: "Scott seems to be back on track, and that was a big win for Lind."
Pointy: "And, speaking of girls who looked great, Winstead was impressive as usual..."
Tess: "Big wins for the three lineal champs on the card..."
Pointy: "I've been singing Lively's praises for a long time now. She's likely to have a run up there..."
Man In The Hat: "And, DiDo is DiDo. As good as it gets at light."
Cassie: "And, as much as Uncle Wiz loves Bella, even he'll admit that Kosarin is one of the few girls who's a match for her."
Tess: "Let's talk Front Street. Nice win for McMann stepping up to a welter..."
Man In The Hat (nodding): "Kennedy walks around welter. She can get to light easily enough, so she'll fight there. But, she's big enough for welter and she's a girl we're going to push there."
Tess: "Another tough result for List..."
Pointy: "Don't get him started, girl. That young lady was in tough..."
Man In The Hat: "Yes, she was. And, she spit the bit again, came from ahead to lose again. What I saw out there was NOT what I wanted to see. Not what I wanted to see AT ALL."
Reporter: "On a brighter note, a huge win for Front Street at JMDD..."
Man In The Hat (shaking his head): "No, that was a huge win for KARA DEL TORO. Take a hard look at her opponent. Clauson had won twelve of thirteen. She's been in with some top fighters the last two years, Upton, Decker, Ferguson, Rhoda...beat 'em all. You beat a girl like that, that's a massive win. Now, add in the fact that it's on the big stage. That makes it even bigger. Now, add in the fact that it was in a TITLE FIGHT. Huge. Huge. So, let's give the credit to Kara Del Toro. She's the one who got the job done."
Cassie (smiling): "BUT. That DOES keep alive Front Street's streak of having held a title in every year of its existence...fourteen straight years now. AND, it's the stable's fourteenth title. AND, it's the fifth DIFFERENT title Front Street has won, along with Queen of the Ice Hotel, and the Unified Flyweight, Bantamweight, and Lightweight titles."
Pointy: "AND it bloody well establishes us in JMD/D, which is something we've been working to do for the last 16 months..."
Tess: "Mr. V says you could have won titles with Dennings, Perry, and Winter if you'd been participating all along..."
Man In The Hat (nodding): "He may not be wrong. I don't have a lot of regrets with Katy. She won a title here, and she got lots of opportunities, both at light and welter. Would she have gotten even more if we'd done JMDD? Probably. So, there's a bit of regret there. But, Kat. I shake my head about that one. Kid got ONE title shot in all those years. If we'd been doing JMD...well. It would have been different. Good news is, Ariel's still around and not goin' anywhere any time soon. So, she's still got a chance to get some opportunities there, along with the beach and the Ice Hotel and maybe flyweight if we can get back in the mix there. Now. Let's all get to breakfast. We've got a big night tonight at Asylum..."
