VALENTNA FRADEGRADA VS MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD

Before: “I picked Valentina as my next opponent because she has been very successful over in the BBU. I liked my trips over there, but it’s been a long time. I am happy Valentina was willing to come over and fight me here in the FCBA,” says Mary before the fight. “I am very excited to be facing her."
“As far as I concerned this is the fight that will snap my 3 fight losing streak in the FCBA,”says Valentina, “and beating a tough veteran like Mary Winstead is just the sort of win to turn things around in this fed.”
“You left out ‘legendary,”,” Mary interrupts. “You know: ‘ Mary Winsted is a tough, legendary veteran.’”
“You are a legend in your own mind, at the least,” Valentina retorted.
“I have been accused of that, but I still working on making everyone think so too,” Mary replied cheerfully.
“Count among the skeptics,” Valentina replied.
“Then I just have to working on changing that. I’m sure you’ll come around,” Mary assured her.
“I doubt that,” Valentina scoffed.
“Oh, but I am can be very convincing. You’ll see,” Mary said.
Valentina rolled her eyes and said simply: “I’ll see you in the ring.”
“Of course, see you then,” Mary serenely.
Come Fight Night, Valentina enters the ring and removes her robe to show a sexy red bikini trimmed in white. She wears white gloves and boots with red laces. Dark hair pulled back I a French braid. Mary enters and removes her robe to reveal a dark blue-gray bikini with red gloves and boots with blue laces. Mary’s bobbed hair is loose, but wetted down The ring instructions go smoothly. Polite tap of the gloves and the fighters go to their corners. The bell rings.
R1: Mary aggressive at the outset. She clouts Val to the head and then crowds in to work her over to the body. Valentina driven back by MEW’s initial rush, but swiftly comes back to trade head and body punches. Mary and Valentina going at it hard and fast. Punches are going to body and head with no set pattern, but it’s giving both fighters a punishing first round. Mary able to heave in an overhand right that whacks Val hard to the forehead and sends her lurching back. Val trying to answer, but she seems shaken. Late flurry enough for MEW to win the round narrowly.
R2: Valentina not backing off. She charges in against Mary and drives her back with a series flashing head shots. Mary struggling to hold off the aggressive Val and finally scores with a right/left combo to the chin that sends Val stumbling back. Mary punches her way in close against Val giving those big breasts plenty of attention. Val not liking this jugg busting attack, she digs in to smash hooks into Mary’s belly and ribs. Mary driven back, gasping for air and trying to protect her head as Val goes after it in the follow-up. Mary finally gets her jab started and this stalls Val’s attack, but Valentina emerges as the winner of a close round.
R3: Mary and Valentina out promptly and move towards each other in the middle of the ring. Mary trying to strike first with hooks to Valentina’s body, but Valentina quicker, she stuns Mary with a crunching shot to the chin. Mary covers up her face as now Valentina attacks Winnie to the body. Mary groans as her breasts, rib cage and abs come under attack, but then she spots a gap and slips under uppercut in behind Val’s mitts to mitt the IBB boxer’s chin. Valentina thrown into confusion as her head is suddenly full of lights and ringing bells. Mary drives her back with right/lefts to the jaw and then hooks to the belly. Just as it looks like Mary is taking control. Valentina smashes off an uppercut of her own. Mary is sent reeling backwards. Valentina giving chase, but is not quick enough, Mary greets her with a barrage of body punches and Valentina hits back. More grinding body action to the bell. Intense round and the judges rule in Valentina’s favor by a close margin.
R4: Mary and Valentina get right back in the trenches as the new round starts,. They are center ring and nearly toe to toe as they start firing away with wave after wave of body busting punching. Amazing to see the sweat dripping down their bodies as they go all-out in trying to get the most power into their punches. Crowd is cheering them on. Most of the roun seems to be a stalemate. Then, late in the round, Mary starts pushing Valentina back inch by bitterly fought inch. Val trying but she’s not able to withstand the relentless bombardment. Round ends the battle and this time the judges give a narrow wn to Mary Elizabeth Winsead.
R5: Mary comes rushing out of her corner clearly looking to get back to the body battle. Valentina has other ideas. She snaps Mary’s head around to the left and the then the right, the she lifts her chin with uppercuts. Mary offensive dies as she stumbles back and Val in oming after her with the follow-up. Mary has her mitts up around her head, but plenty of Winstead chassis available for Valentina to work over and she did with enthusiasm. Mary is soon all hunched up, stabbing out a few counters to stay on the cards, but otherwise Valentin is running rampant this round. Bell finally ends Mary’s ordeal. She is gray-faced and rubbery legged s she gets back to her corner. Valentina Fradegrada looking quite pleased with herself after this round.
R6: Foxfire corner working hard to get MEW out for the next round. Mary on her feet and moving at the bell. Valentina coming back at her fast. Mary seems to pause and then leaps forward in a cobra-like strike, Valentina takes a booming blow between the eye from Mary’s right hands and then gets smashed to the ja with Mary’s left. Valentina in retreat, looking confused and trying to stay on her feet. Mary is now going fter Val to the body wit vengeful fury. Mary backs Val into the ropes. Val trying to punch her way clear but then Mary gets her between the eyes again. Val sags into the ropes, burying her face in her hands while Mary goes to town on Val’s body. Val shuddering and gasping as she whacked over and over by Mary’s blazing leather. Finally the bell sounds and Val is still somehow on her feet, but she is now the one looking gray-faced and shaky-legged as she heads to her corner. The round goes wide to MEW.
R7: IBB corner crew works hard to get Valentina out for the new round, but she is moving slowly out of her corner. Mary is battered and bruised, but looks revitalized as she heads for Val at mid ring. Mary taking her time. She uses opening punches to judge Val’s responses. Val is hitting back but she is sluggish. Mary then makes a sudden feint aimed at Val’s head up comes Vals mitts and then Mary plows hooks Val’s abs. Val bends forward with a moan and then Mary is lifting her punches up into Val’s overhanging upper body. Val swaying and Mary hits her hard now pushing her mitts between Val’s to hit her face. VALENTINA”S LEGS BUCKLE! VAL FALLS TO HER KNEES THE ONTO HER SIDE CURLING UP IN A WORLD OF HURT!
Mary to the neutral corner as the referee stands over the fallen Val and starts to count. Valentina somehow gets to her knees, but when she tries to stand, she shudders and falls back to the canvas.
“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!..YOU ARE OUT!” The official cries.
THE WINNER: MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD DEFEATS VALENTINA FRADEGRADA KO7!
After: Mary weary but exultant as she talks to the press after the fight. “Just the kind of fight I like. She really pressed me. Those body battles were draining, but I think she got drained more than I did. I just kept hanging in there, got my second wind and finally I was able to wear her down to set up the KO. I don’t suppose she enjoyed the fight as much as I did, but shes a first-class opponent. I hope I haven’t seen the last of her.”
Valentina isn’t able to speak with the press until the next day, but says: “No I certainly didn’t enjoy losing that fight, but I will grant you that she took some my best stuff and came back to win. I hd always heard that about her. I found out it is true. Mary Winstead may not be a “Legend” but she is one tough boxer. Fight her again? I am not sure, I have to admit I still think I could have beaten her, but maybe I shouldn’t press my luck. We’ll see.”
Once again another thrilling Mary Elizabeth Winstead slugfest of a fight. Mary doesn’t always win these donnybrook’s but her fans get their money’s worth watching her trying to do it. Valentina Fradegrada proved a worthy opponent and the latest the fall victim to a Winstead comeback after getting worked over in earlier rounds. As we noted, Mary doesn’t always win this type of fight, but she did win this one and hopefully it will keep her in the Lightweight Title Contenders race. Meanwhile, Valentina’s FCBA losing streak reaches 4, but she is showing a lot of punch and this frustrating dry spell surely must end soon.
