R2: Kelsey dropping left, closing up her stance, right at her chest, rolling Rosie’s jab with the lead shoulder, fading her, fading her and SCORCHING HER THE COUNTER RIGHT HAND! RHW a little too cocky, falls into a predicable rhythm and gets TAGGED on her chin, put wobbly butt, and Merritt takes over. Kelsey stepping-to, whip-mitting left/right to blonde waist, Rosie stooping forward gut-shot, hands at her temples. Merritt standing tall, pushing her left between RHW’s mitts, then WALLOPING a looping right behind the ear, cudgeling blonde in a little stagger to her right. Lanky left uppercut lifts Rosie’s chin up--she staggers back, then BLONDE STARTS TO SLUG! Merritt caught a sneaky-quick on the chin, steps out, but gets tagged a leaning right on the point of her chin, and it’s a lanky-limbed donnybrook. Kelsey still slick, drawing Rosie forward, dangling the left hand, but bringing it off her thigh to cuff and backhand, occasionally bending into murderous slinging rights. RHW the more ragged, but determined--swinging right/lefts to the ribs jabbing Merritt’s face and trying to catch her backing straight up,. Girls refuse to let up at the bell-ref takes a hand.
R3: Kelsey trying to lure Rosie with that low left hand, slide-step routine, but Brit’s not buying this time! RHW throwing hard right hands in above the exposed left hip, nipping kidney with sharp spanking impacts, jumping in that sudden hook, Merritt keeps thinking blonde’s too far away, then getting tagged. Kelsey put wobbly butt and clinching for the first time--she’s bent forward, draped around Rosie’s waist and blonde’s POUNDING away at the back and sides, even lifting heel-palms up and in to draw a warning., Between the rounds, RHW bubbly in her corner, feeling it as she takes a commanding lead on the cards.
R4: Kelsey steps over to her left to cut off Rosie’s counter-clockwise step—brunette hounds blonde to the corners this round. RHW forced to counter punch, rolling and weaving off the ropes, looking for sneaky right uppercuts—but Merritt’s doing the consistent work. Kelsey indiscriminate; pounding away to shoulders, hips, and biceps when she can’t get leather on tummy, breast or chin—brunette brutally effective where Rosie had been precise, but both are having their moments. RHW doing a nice job moving her head, not giving up the home run, but Merritt’s getting nice long looks at blonde’s flanks and torso, systematically bashing away—crowd often reacting to the odd loud spanking shot off ribs or tummy, Pushing and shoving after the bell as girls get all flashy-eyed and seething chested with each other.
R5: Rosie up on her toes a little more--she needs to create a little more distance, get Kelsey to really reach and it starts to work as brunette’s form gets a little wild. RHW able to fade, jab, step to the side, cuffing lefts upside Merritt’s head while getting around her, turning her. Midway through, Rosie slides back, times Kelsey’s rush and beats her to a gorgeous little right hand on the mouth. Blonde ducking in and down, Merritt flailing over the top and she’s wobbly butt, stepping funky. Rosie consolidating like a veteran in Kelsey’s taut young gut--dip ‘n rip uppercuts, lefts and rights, wading in, using her forearms to butt Merritt in the shoulders and walk her back. Kelsey finishes up shabby to the ropes, shipping up in her lungs and hard across the stomach as Rosie pours it on at the bell.
R6: Series of attacks repulsed as Kelsey nimbly steps out and walks Rosie into deft counter-hooks on chin. RHW regrouping outside, Merritt darts in with a lead right on the teeth, smashing blonde's head back, hooks her kidney as Rosie stumbles in a circle. Groaning blonde reaches forward to clinch, Kelsey steps back and walks her onto an uppercut on the button. Damaged RHW charges recklessly in, Merritt ducks low, slams a thudding shoulder in the chest and neatly labels that chin a tight corkscrew hook! Rosie gobsmacked, stomping back on her heels - Kelsey chases her with a hopping lead right, missing the mop up hook as BLONDE CRASHES TO HER BACK! RHW all busted up, rising to a seat in the sand - she tries pathetically to push herself up off her hip but it's NO GO! Kelsey leaping and bounding as count approaches 10 - poor Rosie like a broken robot, trying to rise but unable to get off her butt – KO6 as Kelsey locks in a Tiffany Title Shot!
After: Rosie staying stoic but obviously devastated as Kelsey's hand is raised, English blonde once-again stymied by a core rival she needs to answer eventually if she wants to keep management.
Kelsey upbeat about her victory, ” I'm just quicker and better. She's strong, but I'm strong too, and every time she hurt me, I made sure she paid for it double. Roise couldn't keep me off her body, and that really bothered her as the fight wore on. That's how you beat a girl up: you don't take any bit of her crap, and you make her take all of yours!"
Fates crew sets up a table outside the shower tent, Emily leans over to sign the contract for the promised title fight, Kelsey emerging in a robe with a towel wrapped over her hair to sign as challenger, both contenders stay leaned over forehead-to-forehead, arms braced against the table for the staredown.
