Kyra riding high, finally in the spotlight, her 60th fight her first title shot: "I blew the doors off Emily because she wasn't strong enough. I'll blow the doors off Demi because she's not quick enough. Whatever your shortcoming is, I'll exploit it. I know I've got to back all this trash up, but when I do, you're going to have to talk about me in the same breath with Megan, Lily, Emma - those girls. R1: Demi sneaks a short lead right onto Kyra’s jaw, then bodies up to walk a suddenly shaken challenger onto her heels. Santoro recovers and does good work the rest of the way, putting her punches together, putting her head on Rose and walking her back to midring, girls in wide stances, snapping hooks into tummies and firm breasts, then reaching in with the left to anchor for chopping right hands in toe to toe action, but this is Demi’s office, she’s giving Kyra all sorts of subtle angles inside to come out well ahead in the opener.
R2: Kyra steps to, butts her lead shoulder in hard to Demi’s chin, then snaps off clubbing lefts and rights to the belly button. Rose pummeled to the ropes—she’s got her face covered, elbows in, letting Santoro work unmolested to her flanks and tummy. Great shove and slug, Kyra using that shoulder and chickenwinged left arm to push up, then turning her hips in behind thudding licks to the body, all smiles as she peels away at the bell.
R3: Girls wade into one another, right hands low and poised to heave up and into midriffs—bruising trade as brunettes danger close with Kyra’s chin on Demi’s cranium, hands low, arms pumping to lift in lefts and rights underneath, legs churning in the sand. Gritty effort from Rose as she as she takes it out of Santoro’s belly, forcing challenger into grudging retreat, then mauling her up against the ropes. Kyra covered up and taking down the stretch, seated on the ropes, lolling sideways at times, gloves up around her face, arms in as she SOAKS up Demi’s hard work. Rose squares up off one or the other of Santoro’s sun-browned shoulders and just pump back and forth with both arms chugging. Kyra battered about her arms and tummy, sliding along the ropes as Demi beats her—crowd roaring at the familiar sight of a British Beach Beatdown.
R4: Savage, primordial war blossoms as shiny skinned contenders just help themselves to whatever’s soft on the opponent,. Kyra unrepentantly fouls as she hammers away low on Demi, buckling the Queen’s knees and putting her butt momentarily on the ropes. Rose sobbing in pain, but refusing to be bullied, answers back in kind to the trunks, then using her left to trap Santoro’s right and expose the midsection for plundering right hand action to the pit of the stomach. Mutual atrocities pile up, but Kyra slowly gains the upperhand. Demi cowering in the final minute, bending forward from the ropes as Santoro HEAPS on a two-fisted beating to the back and lush sides of her foe. Kyra enraged, keeping Demi down with a forearm across the back of the neck and just drifting in big right hands to the side—ref has to jump in as challenger keeps pounding after the bell. Rose open mouthed in pain, stretching her side and simpering back to her corner as Santoro is forcibly shown to her stool.
R5: Demi moving before the bell, traps Kyra in her corner and hands out a beating as challenger covers up and takes. Rose big on Santoro, palming with the left, then stuffing beefy right hands to the tummy, or cramming it in past loosening guard upstairs. Kyra spends most of the round huddled against one set of ropes or the other corner, but as Demi starts to tire, she opens up. Big swinging lefts and rights find Rose’s chin as Santoro fights her way out of the corner, backing Queen to mid ring. Startling connects have Demi woozy and she looks to clinch, Kyra bumping the left shoulder and wedging a meanspirited right hand to the pit of her stomach. Wild final moments as a gutshot Rose reels forward, trying to clinch, Santoro bumping and shooting with murderous right hands trying to floor the Queen as the bell sounds.
R6: Demi gets the early advantage in more brushing shoeshine exchanges, scrub-bump-slugging Kyra to the ropes. Rose keeping her forehead on Santoro’s chest, knuckling back the biceps and squishing in short-arm harm, bodying up to keep challenger from punching back. Middle minute--ref’s break gives Kyra a little breathing room--girls trade step-in spank amidships--both really driving in with short right hands, Santoro’s back foot up out of the sand with effort and ROSE SCOOTS TO HER BUTTOCKS! Demi squeezing out tears as she rolls to her knees, cradling her gut and trying desperately to get off her haunches. Rose beats the count, but Santoro strutting and hooting with new-found confidence: concussive blast seems a turning point as Santoro pulls ahead on all cards.
R7: No doubt about it, Demi’s not the same fighter. Rose still eager, aggressive and competitive; but not punching with the same mindless intensity and no longer able to hold her sand. Now it’s Kyra establishing position inside, scrounging and palming at Demi’s shoulders to expose those heaving melons, and plugging away tummy and tits with murderous intentions. Rose backed to the ropes, expression groggy, eyes distant, reaching her left over Santoro’s right shoulder, trying to tie up: challenger won’t have it, hip-bumping for punching room and digging up ribs and tit with short, bashing lefts and rights. Demi no longer registering each impact: she’s drowsy with constant hurt at this point.
R8: Give Demi credit, she's eaten a lot of quality leather these past two rounds, still trudging forward, catching on her face and hammering back - she's upsetting Kyra's applecart with clubbing rights to the skull, sweeping hooks to jaw, backing the challenger up in disarray to ropes. Rose burrowing in, squirming to press Santoro up against the strands, then tearing it up with short, side to side rights and lefts, challenger open-mouthed as the tidy rip takes effect. Demi pressure-fighter professional in tight and working on a stationary vixen - she gets in there and digs, punishing the offending bikini top, wearing out Kyra's ribs, draining those legs. Santoro swooning, tying up around Rose's elbows and head - strained look of discomfort as Queen rides her hard to bell.
R9: Kyra operating midring - showing a calm, consummate professional look as she operates behind a crisp, heavy jab. Santoro pivoting left, jabbing up top, hooking behind the elbow - basic stuff but it works wonders: Rose getting preempted, turning, covering up and taking in her body - she doesn't have a lot of answers left after the punishment she’s absorbed. Kyra scoring, then easing in with her shoulder, wrapping up Rose's arms for breaks, managing her foe's body beautifully, punching and clinching to good effect this round.
R10: Kyra out to midring, just needs to finish the round to take her first title. Demi spraying punches, not sharp, not accurate and when she's done, she's punched out, hands low as Santoro steps-to to clang away upstairs, crouching low, moving her head. Rose staring shiny-eyed in response, midway point sees her knees give way, legs breaking down as she stumbles back from Kyra’s pressure, trying to create distance, ducking inside the arc of Vixen's slugging, plants her feet, swivels those hips…..RIGHT HAND DEMI ROSE! Kyra’s head smashed hard to starboard--she turns 90 degrees to her right and TAKES A KNEE AT THE ROPES! Santoro shaking her head, right hand in the ropes for support struggles up the ropes with just under a minute left. Wonky 8, then HERE COMES ROSE! Demi zombie-shambling in, head-butting Kyra square in the breasts, sprawling her upright and PASTING SANTORO'S FACE LEFT/RIGHT! Rose mindlessly a-jiggle as she sways her hips to haul wallop onto Kyra’s chin, challenger staring into it, sagging into the ropes and THE REF STEPS IN! Bell sounding out, Ref wrenches Demi away, she spins out to midring, settles to a seat in the sand, but it's a TKO10 for the winner and STILL Princess of the Beach, DEMI ROSE!
After: Both fighters utterly spent, on their knees, butts-on-ankles in the sand, gloves planted in the sand, chests heaving as they glower at each other. Demi can’t even make it to her feet, gets her arm raised from her crouched position. Rose pushed closer to losing on the sand since her rematch with Demi Lovato, way back in 2018. Win Number Nineteen was the closest run of the batch, but Demi Rose remains the undefeated TRUE Queen of the Beach!
