The formerly known Sasha Banks, now known by Mercedes Mone will be looking to show that leaving the WWE machine is not a death sentence. She takes on the interesting World of Stardom champion Giulia, who was born in London, is half Italian, half Japanese. Here in SoFi Stadium the IWGP women's world champion and the World of Stardom champion battling it out.
Mercedes sends in a video where she walks down a black catwalk with lights shining up at her as she wears a long green coat. Her green heels hitting the catwalk. She throws some money over the camera as she says "get used to this new era. The era of the CEO Mercedes Mone."
She then puts her arms out to the side as she adds "I have had enough of being looked down on. I am the biggest damn star in wrestling and you will all understand that soon. First the IWGP women's championship became mine, now maybe after I punch your lights out Giulia I will then look to take your World of Stardom title. The world is mine!"
The Donna Del Mundo faction leader Giulia spoke on video. She sat on the ring apron of a Stardom ring. The World of Stardom title to her left side. She says in Japanese "Mercedes you think you can come to my country and prove yourself. I am ready to give you a lesson into why the Joshi lifestyle is only for those with the toughness to survive our training." Raising her fists to the camera.
She then taps the title with her left hand, telling the camera "to you American fans. You are about to see why I am the best damn fighter walking this planet." Raising the title up with her left hand as she stares at the camera.
Fight night, money falls after being fired out of cannons over the stage as Mercedes comes out. She is wearing a navy blue robe as she struts out. Basking in the money as her supporters cheer her on. She walks down the aisle with a cocky smirk as she heads to the ring. Stepping into the ring wearing a navy blue sports bra with green trim, matching trunks and shoes, green gloves. While her head is tied into a ponytail. She struts around the ring with her arms into the air. Loving the spotlight on her.
Here comes Giulia now as she comes up from a platform under the stage onto it. Wearing her black eye patch over her right eye, white feather sleeve down her left side as she taps the World of Stardom title around her waist with her black right glove. Heading down the ring with a determined look. She gets help from her coach to remove her gear to reveal her attire. A black sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes. Her head is tied into a braid before she steps into the ring. Eyes firmly on Mercedes as she raises her arms into the air.
The fighters come to the center of the ring. Giulia bouncing on her toes as Mercedes raises her right glove to fake a yawn. When they touch gloves though Giulia hammers her fists on top of Mercedes, who looks annoyed as she looks around the ring as if someone should tell off her opponent for the disrespect. They return to their corners, with the bell ringing to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.
Round 1:
Out they come with Mercedes dancing up on her toes with her jab thudding towards the forehead of Giulia. Who is just slightly off the early pace as she tries to find her range, finding it more towards the end of the opening minute by crouching down to hammer in a jab/straight into the body of her opponent. Mercedes looking annoyed when she is caught by an uppercut that pushes her back a step.
Giulia getting too keen as she swings in a left hook that finds air. Mercedes counters with a right across the face of her foe. The IWGP champion hammering in a follow up two punch combo square into Giulia's face. Giulia being pushed around the outside part of the ring. Throwing out single punches as Mercedes looks to be taking her serious now.
Pushing Giulia into a corner. Mercedes works the body before she gets caught by a short right hook onto the jaw. Giulia comes swinging off the ropes to come on strong, Mone covering up tightly go protect herself as she is being backed up to the ropes. The bell rings with a tense look on Giulia's face. Mercedes just smirks as she bumps her shoulder into her rival on her way to her corner.
Round 2:
Back out they come with Mercedes drilling in double jabs to the face of her opponent to keep her on the outside. Giulia is starting to land around the body of Mercedes. Trying to get inside to land her power punches, like the opener she just misses with a big left hook. Mercedes slams a straight back into her face to knock her back a step.
Onto her heels goes Giulia as she is being driven backwards. This time when she hits the ropes, Giulia is hammering back with her own hooks. Mercedes looks annoyed as she has to back off, dancing back on her toes again as Giulia showing the toughness that has grew her reputation in wrestling. Both landing stiff punches to each others faces as they work away.
Mercedes steps inside to work the body of Giulia. Who lands a short left on the ear of Mercedes. Things getting scruffy as both try to overpower each other. Clinching up and grappling towards the ropes. The referee splits them up after a few choice words between the fighters. The round comes to an end with both pushing each other to the chest before the referee gets between them. They walk back to their corners with their eyes locked across the ring.
Round 3:
Jogging back out their corners to resume. Mercedes again starting off strong but Giulia feints before she lands an overhand right onto the jaw of her rival, turning the head of Mercedes to send her hair flying around. Giulia not looking a gift horse in the mouth, she charges into Mone to force her back into a neutral corner. Giulia digging her fists into the abs of her foe to make her grunt with each clean hit.
Pushing Giulia off her; Mercedes comes firing back but she soon misses with a straight as Giulia leans out the way, landing an uppercut to knock back the blue flame haired woman. Giulia bullying back her opponent into another corner as Mone can't keep off the Stardom champion.
Needing to pull Giulia into a clinch. Mercedes gets the referees to break them apart. She looks worried for the first time as she has to take her opponent serious. Pounding in punches as they fight around the center. Giulia looking to step in but Mercedes is catching her with punches off her back foot. The round comes to an end with Giulia tapping her cheeks as she returns to her corner, fired up as Mercedes stares at her.
Round 4:
Both are exchanging more punches in bunches between them. Mercedes looking to enforce the range where she wants it. Digging in her toes to the canvas when she is throwing. Giulia deflects a straight to step in with an uppercut to send her opponent back onto her heels.
After the opening minute of the round, Mercedes is finding herself bodied up with Giulia. Being bullied back onto the ropes, where she is trying to swing back but landing glancing blows around the head of her opponent. They are broken up after Mercedes clinches up, both landing rabbit punches to the back of the others head. Showing how much they went to win.
They resume with Giulia dipping under a straight to land an overhand right on the chin of Mercedes. Who looks a little rocked as she retreats back as Giulia pounds in a jab square into the face of Mone to snap back her head. Mercedes shelling up as she is pinned to the ropes. The bell dings with Giulia raising her arms in the air as she glares at the face of Mercedes. Who shakes her head to clear any cobwebs. Sitting on their stools with their moods changing as Giulia looks to have a grin on her face, Mercedes not as confident as she was.
Round 5:
Pushing off their stools, Mercedes looks a little shook up still as she isn't moving around as much. Giulia landing stiff straight punches square into the face of her opponent. Mercedes misses with an uppercut as Giulia moves back out the way. SLAMMING A LEFT HOOK SQUARE ONTO THE CHIN OF MERCEDES TO SEND HER STUMBLING DOWN TO HER KNEES!
Giulia marches over to the neutral corner bouncing on her toes as she stares at Mercedes. 1...2...3... Who is shaking her head to clear her vision. 4....5...6... Mercedes pushes to her feet with a little wobble. Her coach looks a little worried, she raises her gloves as the referee checks her over.
They resume but Giulia is straight at Mercedes. A straight pounds Mercedes square to send her onto her heels. Giulia stepping in with pounding punches that drives Mone into the ropes. Mercedes leaning against them as she is getting hammered. THE REFEREE STEPS IN TO WAVE THE FIGHT OFF! SAYING THAT MERCEDES HAS SEEN ENOUGH!

Giulia gets a big debut win. She heads to the center of the ring. Posing with her hands on her hips. Smirking as she looks out to the crowd. While Mercedes left eye is swelling shut behind her. The Stardom champion beating the IWGP champion is certainly a big talking point.
The winner returning to her corner to be hugged by her coach. She gets her gloves handed off and handed a drink. She pours some water over her head as she gets a loud cheer and chant for her. Giulia raising her right arm above her head to acknowledge the crowd with a nod.
All the while Mercedes is helped back to her stool. If she planned a big celebration for her victory, that is certainly on the back burner as she returns to her corner with help from her coach. Out comes her best friend Bayley, who had been out earlier tonight with Iyo Sky. While earlier she was celebrating, she understandably looks upset over seeing her friend in a state.
Bayley and Mercedes do talk as Mercedes lets her know she will be okay. Bayley nodding as she taps her friend on her left shoulder. Helping her her gloves off as Mercedes coach works to reduce some swelling around her left eye. With Bayley giving a hard look over to Giulia.
Who is heading over to the center of the ring. She has been given the red belt of the Stardom title. Holding it up with her left arm getting held up by the referee. Bayley not happy with her marches over to Giulia. Turning her around by her shoulder as she says "you got lucky you no name bytch." Giulia grins at her before going nose to nose with the WWE star. Leading to shoving between them before the referee steps in to break them up.
Giulia climbs out the ring after giving Bayley a middle finger salute. Bayley's cheeks going red, for now though she doesn't do anything. Letting Giulia head off with her coach. Giulia certainly making a big statement tonight as Mercedes has shown in her previous fights that she be a great fighter. The rising stock of Giulia continues.
While Bayley helps Mercedes out the ring. She tells the cameras to get out their faces. Mercedes looks embarrassed that she lost. Especially after her big entrance. There might be a few in the WWE laughing at her right now but this could easily be just a road bump on her future success. It'll be interesting to see if Mercedes proves her star value is truly money.
