The January PPV was a huge fifty fight card that featured three official title bouts. In the flyweights, Millie Bobby Brown retained her crown by defeating Jenna Ortega in eight. Minka Kelly is still the bantam champion as she beat Samara Weaving. In the final championship match, Lily James is still the lightweight champ by TKOing Dua Lipa running her undefeated streak to eighteen. Camille Kostek didn’t defend the welter title since she won the title earlier in the month
In the welters, Blake Lively shocked the pundits with her win over Amanda Righetti. It’s been hailed as the upset of the year. That is true, but the year was only 27 days old. It remains to be seen if it is ultimately the “upset of the year.”. Upton, Tahnee Atkinson and Hannah Ferguson could claim the right to Kostek’s first defense, I think it will hard for Kostek to ignore Lively after her win
In the lightweights, James has already beaten Winstead, Kendall Jenner, Swift, Agdal. Lively and Strahovski. That leaves DiDonato, Hill, Ren, Rohrbach and
Kylie Jenner as logical opponents but of course, it’s James’ choice and she may not pick a top ten fighter, but I suspect she will.
The bantams are still ruled by Minka Kelly. Larson, Olsen, Chopra and Bella Thorne and Kosarin strengthened their claims to a title match by winning big fights on the PPV. The bantams are deep in talent so Kelly has no problem picking her next opponent
Like the bantams, the flyweight, are deep in talent. Brown has a host of choices. Maddie Zeigler was impressive in her win over Olivia Holt. The veteran Jessica Lowndes, Lavigne and Michelle Williams are strong challengers. All three have vastly more experience than the champ. I think Michelle Willams is the most dangerous opponent for Brown
When the Hall of Fame was established in April 2011, of all the fighters who had competed in late 1999 only ten were elected followed two in October. Since that time. In the following eleven years, sixteen more were added. This year could see at least four. Right now four bantam or flyweights should be added. Elisabeth Olsen has had 98 fights but four were at JMD and will not be counted leaving her with 94 fights. Avril Lavigne has had 99 fights. Should she win her next fight, she will be in the Hall which doesn’t make me happy due to her terrible record of post fight antics, but rules are rules. Lily Collins has 96 bouts and her stablemate Emma Watson also has 96. Which one will get into the Hall first? Three of the four mentioned have a connection with Caspian. Several bigger girls have close to the number of fights, but have had too many JMD/D fights to make it into the Hall this year
Last year. Approximately sixty six fighters made their debut as the FCBA gets more crowded. Can anyone tell me if sixty six fighters retired? A number of these who made there debut won’t get five fights in their career, In January of this year ten more made their debut. I think anyone introducing a new fighter be required the get them at least five fights. A lot of debuts are made so the experienced fighter can get an easy win
