Intro:
Now it's time for the FCBA lightweight title to be defended. Dua Lipa and the undefeated champion Lily James have history already in the ring. Lily on the way up the division back in December 2021 defeated Dua by knockout in the sixth round. Can Dua be the one to end Lily's run or is Lily going to reach the milestone of twenty wins without a loss.
Before the bout there was a press conference for the PPV. With pictures of both fighters on the back wall. On the left side of the stage comes Dua with her management team. Who head off to their designated table. While the champion comes onto the right side with her team behind her, while she has the title is wrapped around her waist. Both in dresses as Dua wears a red dress with black boots. Lily wearing a white dress with clear heels as both step to the center of the stage. Fists up for the photos being captured, before both smile as they hug each other.
Both head to sit amongst their teams at their tables. Lily placing the title belt in front of her on the table. Smiling as her manager Sharon Horgan whispers something to her with a chuckle. Making her frenemy Melanie Sykes looking over with a bit of a glare. Dua puzzled what has her manager annoyed.
After all that Dua is asked first how she is feeling about challenging someone she is friendly with. Dua answers "well we have fought before and we both know what this fight is over. That belt in front of Lily means that all the hard work in the gym. Shedding blood, sweat and a few tears in that ring is all worth it. While I am glad that Lily has won the title. I want that for myself so no hard feelings Lily." Making the Champion laugh as she nods.
Lily tells Dua "while I am grateful that we have sparred together and been friendly over these past few years since I joined my stable. I am not going to take it easy on you. The fact is part of me would love to see you hold a world title but there is a BBU title after all." Winking at Dua. Who points at the belt Lily has with a big smile.
The managers are asked if there has been any friendly wagers between them. Sharon the one to answer as she jokes "well I think Melanie told me that she will buy me a bottle of champagne when Lily wins. I will take it after the fight if you can afford to bring it." Making Melanie scowl at her as others laugh. Including Dua trying to hide her chuckling.
"I am glad then that Dua will be taking the title. You are getting too big for yourself Sharon." Says Melanie as she stands up. Matching off the stage as Dua looks surprised that Mel bit so hard. There clearly seems more fire between Melanie and Sharon then the two women actually fighting for the world title.
Fight night with several VIP's ringside, of course Melanie and Sharon sit next to each other. Even if it is a little frosty between them. The BBU lightweight champion Holly Peers has traveled over from England to get a look at whoever the rival world champion will be by the end of tonight. Along with other former FCBA lightweight champions.
Dua is first out onto the aisle, walking down the ramp with her coach Giselle Bundchen. Dua nodding to her fans as they chant her name. She climbs into the ring wearing a white sports bra with matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair in a ponytail as she takes a breath. Knowing she is the underdog in this bout.
With now the undefeated champion beginning her walk to the ring. Looking relaxed as she waves to a few people in the crowd. Enjoying her own rousing response from the crowd. Coach Angelica Bridges holds up the lightweight title for all to see. Lily steps into the ring wearing a blue sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, her hair is in a ponytail too. Listening to the listen second advice from Angelica after the title is handed to the referee.
Coming to the center of the ring for the final instructions. Both fighters look at the belt being held by the referee, then stare each other down. They respectfully touch gloves before they return to their corners. The belt is handed out the ring to the FCBA committee member. The bell then rings to start 10 rounds of FCBA lightweight title bout action.
Round 1:
"Ding!" Out come the fighters with look of determination firmly etched onto faces. They exchange stiff jabs to start. It's a bit of a chess match early on as both feint like they are going to throw a big right behind their jab. Leading to when they pull the trigger both drilling the other to their beautiful faces.
Nearly at the half way point when Dua breaks the deadlock with a straight into Lily's nose. Opening her up to a short left hook to the jaw. The champ backing off as Dua comes on more aggressive now. Looking to ram her punches square into the face of the defensive James. Who shows off a solid guard to take a good few punches on it.
But Lily is struggling to land more then single punches. Dua the one working hard here. Ramming in her punches to the body of Lily late in the round. The actress responds by landing two short left hooks to the cheek of Lipa. Soon following with a straight as Lily shows off her skills just before the round ends.
Round 2:
Back at it they go with more punches being exchanged now. Lily dipping down at times to work the abs of Dua. Who tries to land around the top of Lily's head. More grazing punches coming from the challenger. Lily stepping in with an uppercut that just misses its target. Showing more aggression though after a little bit timidness in the last round.
Soon as they exchange after the opening minute. Lily dips under a right hook. Landing an overhand left to the jaw of Dua. She follows up with a little payback for the last round with her own straight banging into the nose of Dua to push her back to her heels. Both soon are locked together as Dua holds onto Lily to slow her down.
Broken up with under a minute to go now. Dua boxing more defensively. Showing good foot work to keep out of reel trouble. Problem for her is Lily is the one landing the real scoring shots. Digging into the chest of Dua at times to make her hiss before the bell rings to end the round.
Round 3:
Lily back off her stool quickly looking to build off the last round. Definitely more venom behind both fighters punches now. Slamming them into each others cheeks. Lily is the one to knock back Dua when she lands a left hook followed by a straight under the chin of the singer. Knocking her back two steps.
Dua not looking best pleased having to box near the ropes. Drilling in single punches but not really able to unleash her combination punching. Instead it's James doing that herself. Several punches driven into the abs of Lipa to make her groan. Dua landing a few more punches in bunches towards the end of the second minute.
A straight catches Lily on her lips when she focuses on the torso of her opponent too long. Dua showing how much she wants to win by stepping in closer with a left/right hook combo to the cheeks of the champion. Who backs off throwing defensive jabs in response. Soon the bell dings to end the round. Lily nodding to Angelica knowing she can't let her hands dip too low.
Round 4:
Engaging at the center of the ring. Both have ramped up the intensity as they exchange. Cheeks getting marked up as little beads of sweat get knocked off them. Dua leans out the way of a left cross. Landing a counter right square into Lily's face, followed up a left hook to force the champion to back off.
Doubling up her jab to knock Lily back a little further. Dua is looking happier now she holds the center. Even as Lily is still landing some solid shots of her own off the back foot. Trading stiff punches to each others faces. Dua again moves out the way of a loaded up left hook. Instead the singer lands a short counter right across Lily's face to turn her head.
Another double jab lands square into Lily's face. Making Lily cover up along the ropes. Moving side to side to try not to herself pinned down. Dua looking annoyed when she can't trap her so easily. At the end of the round Dua nods to Lily to show her respect. Jogging back to their corners with their coaches wiping them down.
Round 5:
Again it is a quick start from both beautiful women. Cheeks taking the brunt of their exchanges. Dua surprising Lily by stepping inside with two short hooks under her ribs to make her hiss. Clinching up with Dua. Lily and Dua both grapple a little before the referee splits them apart. Showing how much both want to win this.
They exchange around the middle again. Crowd roaring both on when they stand to trade. Lily might be getting taken out her game plan though as Dua strikes her in the chest with a straight. Lily swinging wildly with her left. Leaning too far forwards after she misses and takes an uppercut to her face to knock her to her heels.
Dua driving forwards slamming punches through the guard of Lily. Opening a cut on the bridge of the champions nose. With Lily needing to hold onto her. The fighters nearly trip up into the ropes. Pushing apart at the order of the referee, they go toe to toe in the dying moments of the round. When the bell goes they both walk back to their corner to get cleaned up. As outside the ring their managers have their own fists clenched, showing almost unblinkingly what is happening.
Round 6:
Lily nods to her coach after the pep talk she received. Not as quick to fire off her punches. Moving her head more as she looks to have cooled off a little. Both fighters still finding their range with their punches in the early going. Dua trying to step in with a short right hook. It gets blocked as Lily counters with an uppercut to knock back the challenger to her back foot.
A jab/straight combo follows to knock back Dua. She tries to keep her guard tight but Lily uses a little roughhousing tactics, her left forearm pushing Dua back into a neutral corner. Where she whacks away at the abs of the challenger. Who grits her mouthpiece before clinching up with Lily. Both fighters sweaty cheeks grind together as they look to be fighting back exchanging insults.
After they are pried apart. Dua gets her jab going again as they exchange around the middle of the ring. A double jab lands into the chest of Dua. Who loses her cool as she swings in two wild hooks. Lily steps out the way of them, cracking Dua back with a clean right cross into her face. When the bell rings both fighters lock eyes in a hard stare. Returning to their corners with duelling chants ringing out around them.
Round 7:
Sweat coats their magnificent bodies as they resume the bout. Trading stiff punches around each others faces. A short left cross opens up a small cut under the right eye of Dua. Who hisses out as she takes a step back. Lily hunting after her with a three punch combo flying in to knock back Dua onto the ropes. Lily starting the round strong as she whacks away at the body of her opponent till she is held onto.
The referee breaks them up with both quickly resuming. This time Dua ducks under a left cross. Landing a short right into the belly button of Lily to make her grimace as air is driven out of her. Then lands an overhand left to smack James head to the side. Dua turning the tables as she pushes Lily into a neutral corner. Whacking away to the body as Lily shells up. Needing to hold onto Dua now as both women are determined not to lose this important fight. Referee struggling a little to split them up as they wrestle around the ropes.
Under a minute to go with both resuming the action around the center. A double jab catches Lily on her cut nose. With a right hook turning her head. Dua coming on strong in the dying moments of the round. Driving Lily to the ropes as Melanie is heard outside hiss "that's it... F**king do her in" as Sharon glares at her. Both stare at the ring again as the bell rings. The fighters sit on their stools happy to get cleaned up. Chests starting to rise faster as they head towards the final stretch.
Round 8:
Planting their feet more as they exchange. The punches are not getting any softer when they land. Lily needing to dip under a right hook. Coming up with an uppercut that rocks her opponent backwards. Dua then eats a left hook on the chin. Her base doesn't look as solid as Lily whacks away with eyes full of fury. A RIGHT HOOK SENDING DUA DOWN TO HER RIGHT SIDE NEAR THS ROPES!
Llly doesn't celebrate as she heads straight to the neutral corner. 1...2...3.. Melanie is yelling wildly as Sharon can't hide her grin. 4...5...6. Dua turns to her front. Getting to all fours as blood drips from a cut lip on top of her cut under her right eye. 7...8... Dua is up on her feet. Though leaning against the ropes. Referee checks her over and Dua does raise her fists. Not quiting on this fight.
They resume but Dua is struggling to hold off Lily. A right hook turns her legs to jelly as she stumbles into a neutral corner. LILY SHOWING NO MERCY TO HER FRIEND. WHACKING AWAY AT THE SHELLED UP DUA TILL THE REFEREE HAS SEEN ENOUGH! ENDING THE FIGHT AS THEY JUDGE DUA AS HAVING ENOUGH!

As soon as the bell goes it is like a switch as been turned on Lily's back. She hugs Dua and says "I am so sorry.. I had to do what I needed to win" with Dua tiredly hugging her back. Fighting back tears as she is struggling to hate Lily for stopping her taking home the world title.
Someone who is happy to show how upset they are is Melanie. Who turns to Sharon to yell "you f**king lucky cow! Dua had your prized bytch on the f**king ropes!" With Sharon standing up with a face full of thunder. Telling Melanie "settle down.. you're f**king embarrassing yourself." That goes down as well as a lead balloon. Melanie giving her a slap with her right hand. Then marches off as Sharon is shocked by what happened. Rubbing her cheek before a few around her hold her back as she looks to charge her frenemy (maybe more enemy then friend now.)
Inside the ring while the two camps there were getting along. They all look outside the ring to see the commotion. Dua and Lily looking worried what that means as Dua sits on a stool trying to get her full bearings back. Lily with her left arm around the shoulder of Dua with a stunned look at what happened.
Giselle and Angelica both tell the girls to ignore those moody sods. Giselle nodding to Angelica respect as they chat about the fight. At least some of these two stables get along still. Dua is checked over by the ringside doctor as Lily heads off to her own corner to be patched up and cleaned up.
As soon as Dua is finished being checked over. She says over to the other corner "you deserve the spotlight. Thank you for the shot" as she waves at Lily. Who looks like she wants Dua to be there in the ring with her. Understanding that Dua probably wants to be given some peace to think about what happened in the fight. Another title chance gone by the wayside for Lipa. Shaking her head as she walks to the locker room.
Lily on the other hand gets her right hand raised by the referee, the FCBA committee member placing the world title around her waist. Lily all smiles as she wipes a few tears away. Mixed emotions as clearly it was hard beating a friend again to keep her title.
Doing a lap of honour at the behest of Angelica, Lily waves to her fans as they chant her name. She is becoming as successful and as popular as any of the top fighters around today. this being her eighteenth straight win in the FCBA and twentieth win overall when including the BBU. Who can stop this historic run in the FCBA?

With Sharon standing up with a face full of thunder. Telling Melanie "settle down.. you're f**king embarrassing yourself." That goes down as well as a lead balloon. Melanie giving her a slap with her right hand. Then marches off as Sharon is shocked by what happened. Rubbing her cheek before a few around her hold her back as she looks to charge her frenemy (maybe more enemy then friend now.)
Inside the ring while the two camps there were getting along. They all look outside the ring to see the commotion. Dua and Lily looking worried what that means as Dua sits on a stool trying to get her full bearings back. Lily with her left arm around the shoulder of Dua with a stunned look at what happened.
Giselle and Angelica both tell the girls to ignore those moody sods. Giselle nodding to Angelica respect as they chat about the fight. At least some of these two stables get along still. Dua is checked over by the ringside doctor as Lily heads off to her own corner to be patched up and cleaned up.
As soon as Dua is finished being checked over. She says over to the other corner "you deserve the spotlight. Thank you for the shot" as she waves at Lily. Who looks like she wants Dua to be there in the ring with her. Understanding that Dua probably wants to be given some peace to think about what happened in the fight. Another title chance gone by the wayside for Lipa. Shaking her head as she walks to the locker room.
Lily on the other hand gets her right hand raised by the referee, the FCBA committee member placing the world title around her waist. Lily all smiles as she wipes a few tears away. Mixed emotions as clearly it was hard beating a friend again to keep her title.
Doing a lap of honour at the behest of Angelica, Lily waves to her fans as they chant her name. She is becoming as successful and as popular as any of the top fighters around today. this being her eighteenth straight win in the FCBA and twentieth win overall when including the BBU. Who can stop this historic run in the FCBA?
