Intro:
First time clash between two elite fighters. Karen Gillan looks to end a mixed year against the newly minted Hall of Famer Kendall Jenner. Madison Square Garden is the fitting venue for this fight as both women look to show the world they are the superior pound for pound contender.
Heading into the contest both women gave their thoughts to the FCBA Networks interviewer Alicia Atout. First up was Karen in the backstage area. Wearing a red vest and blue denim jeans. Karen has her beautiful smile on show as she hugs Alicia before she gives her thoughts.
"Oh wow I am really here again. Madison Square frickin Garden! The best of the best fight here and I get to fight one of the best right now in Kendall" Karen says as she looks like Christmas has come early. Joking for Alicia to pinch her, making Alicia laugh.
Then she adds "while this year hasn't been my best... I mean I did lose my BBU title. Still a win over Kendall will mean the world to me, she is a hell of a fighter but I believe in my talents. So I hope to put on a good show and win." Nodding to herself. Hugging Alicia again as she wishes her a Merry Christmas. Showing why it is hard to hate Karen.
Then Kendall had her turn. Wearing a black tank top to go with her black denim jeans. Kendall is smiling too, though she is smiling because she says "the hall of fame got a little more sexy didn't it Alicia?" Winking at her. With Alicia nodding with a smile.
"See after years of working my backside off I achieved another one of my goals on the way to immortality here. The first hundred fights are in my book. Now it's time to have a little fun and see what new challenges await me out there Alicia. Gone are the days I worry what people like Tess (Valmore) thinks. This is the era of Kendall f**king Jenner! The ace of the FCBA" bragging about herself. Alicia not smiling as much as maybe she thinks the hall of fame has went to Kendall's head.
"Don't worry I am not looking past Karen. Hell I picked her for my first fight of the second chapter of my career because she is a challenge. Also helps I actually like her in that den of vipers she calls a stable. So let's get it on Karen. May the best woman win." smiling as she finishes her speech. Kendall nods to the camera before she heads off. Clearly thinking highly of herself now or maybe more so.
Fighting time. First to walk with onto the stage with David Bowie's "Wild Is the Wind" playing is Karen with her coach Ana Beatriz Barros. Both are all smiles as they walk down the aisle, always a dynamic duo look to them as they chat about the atmosphere as Karen's fans chant her name. Stepping into the ring, Karen is wearing a navy blue sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves. Her hair is tied into a braid as she taps her cheeks to psyche herself up.
Kendall now walks through the curtain with Radiohead's "House of Cards" playing. She is wearing a satin black robe, on the back it says in silver letters "Kendall Jenner. Ace. Hall of Famer." winking to the camera after showing what it says. Her coach Alessandra Ambrosio doesn't look so keen on it. So is happy to help it off her to reveal a black sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes. White gloves with her hair tied into a ponytail completes her look. Kendall tapping her gloves in her corner as she nods to Alessandra that she has this in the bag.
Coming to the center of the ring. Both look in phenomenal shape as they bounce on their toes during the referees instructions. They respectfully touch gloves as Kendall wishes Karen good luck. Karen replies with a smile and a nod. Back in their corners now. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of 135lbs catchweight action.
Round 1:
There's a quick touch of gloves before they get down to business. Getting a feel for each other as they box on the outside. Similar reaches as both show the other respect. Neither rushing in as they trade punches. Up on their toes as their fans chant for them.
It's Kendall who tries to up the tempo after the opening minute, instead missing with a straight as Karen moves her head out the way. Instead it's a counter right to the side of Kendall's head that lands. Karen then digs in two hooks to the body of the raven haired model to make her groan out. Kendall having to back off with a straight hitting Karen on her cheek.
But that success has spurred Gillan on as she steps in with a straight that smacks back Kendall's head. A left/right hook combo comes after to smack each of Kendall's cheeks. Causing Jenner to cover up more as she backs off. Firing in single punches to try to keep the redhead off her, Karen is stepping after her as she outworks the younger fighter.
The round comes to an end with a nod from both fighters to each other. Karen though understandably looks the happier of the pair. Sitting on her stool with Ana telling her how good a job she did in the round. Kendall meanwhile takes a look at her gloves as if to get into the zone.
Round 2:
Resuming with more pace then the start of the last round. Both are stinging their opponents cheeks with straight shots. Karen slams in a flush double jab to Kendall's face. Then steps back when a left hook comes her way. Making Kendall bang her gloves together in a sign of frustration.
Kendall getting caught with a straight onto her forehead as Karen now goes on offence. Driving back Kendall to the ropes as Karen starts to use power shots. Switching to the body when Karen covers up top. Groaning as she gets hit, Kendall needing to nudge back Karen to get away from the ropes.
Maybe getting too keen, Karen walks into a hard right square to her face. While Kendall lands a left cross to knock her back a step. Final thirty seconds sees Kendall holding the middle of the ring as she switch hits on Karen. Who is covering up more tightly herself after being reminded what her opponent can do. The round comes to an end with Karen looking to have taken the opening two rounds of the bout. Kendall getting told by Alessandra that she needs to be on top of her game if she is to win this one.
Round 3:
Back at it they go. Cheeks getting marked up from the straight punches coming their way. Kendall slips a jab to land a counter left hook onto the ear of the redhead. Pounding in a follow up right hook to make Karen back off. Kendall looking laser focused now as she drives in her combos through any gaps she sees in Gillan's defences.
Still Karen lands some crisp hooks out of her guard to keep Kendall on the outside. Both women up for this as they stand to exchange at the middle of the ring. Kendall maybe baiting Karen in as she steps back out the way of an uppercut, landing a counter left hook onto the cheek of the Scottish stunner to turn her head.
With Kendall piling the heat on with hooks to the ribs of Karen. Who finds herself driven to the ropes. Karen firing back off the ropes as they exchange hard shots. Kendall landing the better punches as she leans out the way of hooks to land straight punches. the bell rings to end the round with Kendall looking to be on the board. Returning to their corners with a look over at their opponent to see what they have done to each other so far.
Round 4:
Resuming around the center, both are starting to throw more power punches to start off the action. With Kendall slamming in a double jab to Karen's nose to open her up to a right hook. Kendall driving back her foe to the ropes as she is swinging in more hooks. Karen clinching up with Kendall to slow her down.
Both break up without any trouble. Karen quicker off the mark as she steps in with a jab. Moving around the ring as she lets Kendall come after her. Both slamming in crisp single punches as both have great accuracy at range. Kendall feinting to open up Karen to a straight to her chest to push her back.
Karen finding herself herded around near the ropes. Kendall switching targets again. Looking for ways to keep the Scottish fighter on the back foot. With Karen slinging jabs and straights back at her up till the round ends. Both getting wiped down when they sit on their stools. Taking a breath as their coaches talk to them.
Round 5:
Karen tapping her gloves together before she jogs out her corner. Both landing stiff straight punches. Karen shows her teeth as she slams in a jab to the chin of Kendall, following with a right hook to the jaw of the model to turn her head.
Pinning Kendall against the ropes, Karen slugs away to the body. Getting groans from the younger woman as she digs her feet in. With Kendall needing to shove off Karen but can't get too far. With the former welterweight champion aiming as much for Kendall's torso as she is her head to keep her on the back foot.
Less then a minute to go. Kendall landing a few short hooks to try to ward back Karen. The redhead drilling in stiff jabs around the chin of Kendall to knock her head back. Soon the round ends with Karen looking good again. Kendall nodding to Alessandra as her coach tells her where she is going wrong.
Round 6:
Trading around the middle of the ring. Karen steps under a jab to surprise Kendall as she comes over the top with an overhand left on the chin of Kendall. An uppercut knocks Kendall onto her heels as she covers up. Karen bullying her back into a neutral corner as she pounds her around her guard with hooks.
Needing to hold onto Karen. Kendall looks relieved to have a moment to breath, they trade punches once they are broken up. Karen deflects a straight to land a left cross onto the face of Kendall. Pressing back her younger foe to the outside of the ring. Kendall covering up as Karen is working her around the ring.
A right punch into the belly button of Kendall opens her up to a left hook on her jaw. Kendall finding herself being bullied by Karen, punches pounding Kendall around her head in the dying moments of the round. The bell rings with Karen dominating this round. Kendall shutting her eyes as she sits on her stool. A mouse under her right eye as her corner crew work on patching her up.
Round 7:
Stepping back out their corners. Karen is doing her best to push the tempo to start the round. Drilling in some nice punches around the right eye of Jenner. Who grimaces as she backs up. Drilling her own punches back at Karen's face to stop her overrunning her.
A missed straight by Karen leaves her open to a pounding right on her temple. Karen shuts her eyes as she backs up with a jab square into the face following up. Karen trying to land a hook in return but falls short as Kendall leans out the way. UPPERCUT LANDS TO KNOCK KAREN BACK A STEP! A RIGHT HOOK FOLLOWS TO SEND GILLAN ONTO HER BACK!
Kendall heading to the neutral corner with Alessandra yelling "that's my girl!" 1...2...3...4.. Karen has her eyes open. 5...6.. but not moving much as she has her right glove on her forehead. 7...8... Clearly feeling those punches that put her down. 9...10 it is all over! Karen is counted out!

After:
Kendall looks a little relieved as she returns to her corner. Not much celebration off her as she heads to her corner to a fist bump from Alessandra. Sitting and getting washed down as her fans chant her name.
While Karen is checked over by Ana. She soon is helped to sit up blinking to clear her vision. Telling Ana "I'll be ok in a moment." Tapping her coach on her right shoulder as she nods to her. Ana smiling looking relieved that she seems in good health after seeing her struggle to get up.
Soon enough Karen is up on her feet with Ana's help. Getting to her stool where she can get a drink and wiped down. Karen starting to smile as she doesn't seem too badly bothered by this defeat. Talking to Ana about hitting the gym on Monday with a wink.
When both fighters come to the middle of the ring for the final result to be announced. Karen and Kendall share a handshake to show respect as both smile. Kendall moments later getting her right hand raised in victory to a loud cheer from her fans as Karen gives her a round of applause.
Karen leaves the ring afterwards. Heading to the back with Ana on her right side. While it has been a mixed year for the Marvel movie star, with a friend and trainer like Ana in her corner don't write her off making big strides next year to be right back in title contention.
In the ring Kendall poses hands on hips for the cameras, all smiles as she looks excited for the future. Alessandra giving her a big hug from behind as she tells her "I hope this is a sign of what is to come for your next hundred fights." Both laughing as Kendall replied that she hopes so.
Leaving the ring and heading to the back. Kendall was certainly tested here tonight. What will 2023 entail for the reality star and model? Well first she still has a big pay per view fight to worry about before celebrating the holidays.
