BEFORE: Both these women lost bantamweight title fights earlier this season - albeit to two different champions - so it's not like they are in the thick of the silverware pursuit for the time being but Margot Robbie is convinced she finally struck gold after signing with Sceej Boxing. The Australian stunner has fizzled out with four different stables before - for different reasons - but it's truly her moment to shine right now. Meanwhile Selena Gomez simply wants to shake off the sweet girl next door image that sells tickets but doesn't win her the big fights. The more mature Selena has flashed that evil Latin edge again but it's fair to wonder if she can ever become a FCBA champion now that she's on the wrong side of 30 and has to account for the younger talent coming along to take her down?

Selena Gomez wears a leopard print bikini set & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in curled ponytail. Margot Robbie wears a neon green bikini set & golden gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Selena makes her move first which suggests she might be feeling the blonde coming off a hotter run; both women still trade slugging blows in the center of the ring but the brunette shows more variety to punish the exposed ribcage before clattering a left hook on the temple to spin the Aussie woman back into mid-range. Margot refuses to back off but she has to when Gomez blasts another cross into her nose. Ugh! Very energetic start from the Latin lioness who goes on a jabbing rampage thereafter gashing the somewhat stunned rival from both flanks until she pounds Robbie onto the turnbuckle where she switches down to punish the guts again. Ugh! Margot has to apply the clinching stalemate and barks in visible anger at the bell.

Rounds 2 & 3:
Swift recovery from the Aussie blonde who cranks up the jabbing pace and sticks those golden mitts into Selena's face. A couple of lumps start to develop around the brunette's eyes but she shakes off the slugging heat and seeks more success thumping the older woman to the body. She fails in her efforts though and Margot makes her pay landing several clean overhands to the point she stuffs Gomez butt-in-ropes late in the second. Selena escapes the trap thanks to superior mobility but runs out of luck in the third when Margot simply whacks her in the chest and tries some jug muggin' tricks to confuse the brunette. Selena pushes her way through to land numerious single strikes into the blonde's chin but lacks the raw power to cause further damage and has to accept the phone booth action where Robbie feels much better working on the half-uppercut pounce to leave Gomez slumped behind a tight earmuff on the ropes at the bell.

Round 4:
Selena gets on with the body assault and manages to avoid a head-hunting pounce for a change before thumping extra leather into Margot's tined abs. The Aussie blonde withstands the test but then eats a quick flick on the jaw and wobbles to her heels after all. She swings back from there but lacks the precision and has to embrace more gut-checking menace with Selena showing off her strenght to a good measure. Margot dekes the wrong way and eats an elbow in the chest before Selena smacks her on the waistline and shoves onto the turnbuckle where the phone booth coin flips the brunette's way as she drills through the blonde's midsection until another clinch shuts her down for the time being.

Round 5:
Selena really means business and drops another one-two around the elbows but she only breaks Margot's resilience when she nails her with an uppercut double on the chin afterwards. The Aussie tries to fire back over the top regardless but runs into a stubborn wall and eats more quick hits over the top as Selena pushes on with the slugging pounce. She nails Robbie on the mouth again and cripples her with a well-timed shot on the liver area. Ugh! Margot slumps onto the ropes and completely loses her precision from there slicing thin air while trying to smack Gomez's face. Meanwhile the younger woman sticks to the body assault and bangs more shots in the blonde's abs which slowly render Robbie breathless come the final stretch. Another vicious strike right before the bell and Margot TAKES A KNEE as she suddenly bursts into spasms to shock most of the audience. Selena is by no means a power machine but she chopped the blonde's midsection in elite fashion here. Bell comes to rescue but Margot wasn't that hurt to begin with and blows off some rogue screams from the Lioness corner.

Round 6:
Can Selena make further progress and finish the job off? Well... no! Margot jumps into a high-octane pounce as if to prove that knockdown was purely accidental and drags the brunette into a back & forth tussle in the center of the ring. Selena knows she's ahead on the cards anyway so tries to lure the Australian woman into some kind of counter-punching trap but this only allows Robbie to recover from any trouble that knockdown might have caused. Lioness coach Eva Mendes appears to ignore that danger until Selena gets punked with a left/right cross on each temple late in the round and stumbles onto the turnbuckle where Margot NAILS her with a monster right hook on the eye. Woof! That will hurt in the morning as Gomez ends the round on shaky legs. Needless!

Round 7:
The shiner around Selena's left eye has grown bigger during the interval and Margot cashes in with more vicious blows around the area. Selena knows where the shots are coming but she still leaks enough of them to cause major damage... and Margot turns up the wick literally rendering the brunette's left eye swollen shut! Oi, boy! Big trouble for Selena as she eats another hook she probably never saw coming. And one more... Margot dumps her onto the ropes and piles on the merciless punishment until Gomez simply gives up the resistance and CRUMBLES ONTO HER KNEES amid more loud spasms. And she looks in really bad shape here! The count is slow and Selena gets up at eight but the right eye is all gone behind the swelling and the fight is stopped!!! Huge drama as Margot Robbie takes it TKO7 in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: The drinks will be on Jenny McCarthy tonight as the Sceej entourage is set to party another huge scalp on Margot's resume. Signing the Queensland blonde looks like the steal of the year already only denied by Lili Reinhart from the ultimate championship prize. Margot takes several selfies with the fans while Selena is simply shellshocked by the damage she received in this fight. She had everything under control under half distance and then Margot messed her up almost out of nowhere. Coach Eva Mendes tries to play down the final result but Selena's face tells a different story and basically sends her back to the drawing board when it comes to title ambitions in the foreseeable future.
