Diletta Leotta vs Danielle Herrington

This welterweight bout featured two boxers who seemed to be on opposite ends of the boxing spectrum. Leotta was a top winner and contender for her stable whereas Herrington was a bit over the five hundred mark and had a not so bad but descent showing in the recent Diamond tournament but it did not bring her gold as she and her stable GBS had hoped for. Recent rumors swirl around the GBS stable and their recent changes and their desire for more wins from their stable of boxers.
After the fourth round Diletta held a wide lead on the score cards after winning the second and fourth rounds widely. Danielle won the first and third round but the round were close.
The bell rang beginning the fifth round and Herrington seemed to have gotten a big discussion in her corner after losing the fourth round and taking a load of punches to her breasts and body. She came out to find Leotta coming forward but not as quick as before. Danielle didn’t take the time to find out why and began the round with double jabs to her face. Leotta is caught off guard and moves back as Danielle now comes forward. Herrington then seems to be working the Italian’s face now with a couple uppercuts. Diletta eats those hard and then tries to clinch. But Danielle goes to cross her face with some right and left crosses. Diletta now is backed on the near ropes with Danielle right in her face practically after the crosses. Some close boxing happens on the near ropes from both boxers but Herrington is definitely putting the gloves to Leotta. A beautiful left hook and right straight AND LEOTTA GOES DOWN! Danielle moves to a neutral corner and the count begins. Ten comes and goes by Diletta as she is on the canvas and Herrington has a big come from behind knockout victory.
