Thirdly: yes, Terry an box, but she’s never been able to do her thing against me and nothing is going to change this time. Landry looking to pile o, but Terry once again stubborn when hurt: she stacks Landry up body on body with rising mitts, Ali taking tuff in the belly and jugs. Standing in but getting outslugged to the bell. Landry with big points, but Terry’ s refusing to quit as the cards turn against her.
R7: Ali lands 3 firm hesitation rights on Terry’s chin in the first minute—changes the tenor of this bout. Farrell had been winning a lot of minutes, now she angles away, parrying punches and retreating, not answering back. 21 MARCH 2003 ALI LANDRY VS GENA LEE NOLIN
Posted by Simguy on 3/21/21, 6:07 am.
Before: Opportunistic Ali Landry takes on an old rival during a low period, but that’s boxing. “I know Gena’s really struggling right now,” admits Landry in prefight, “having problems with her weight, confidence is sagging, but you know what? That’s not my problem. If I’m catching her at a low point, so be it—you show weakness in this business and someone’s going to jump on you.” Gena unable to the contracted 139 for this bout, pays Landry $10,000 to come in higher, Landry accepts, Ali in red tankini from “Fear Factor”, Gena in neon blue one piece.
During R1: Gena visibly sluggish at the weight, turning as Ali circles, blonde keeping her right hand at her chest, left at chest height. Landry stepping smartly to the right or left, stooping to stamp her jab flat against the suspect Nolin gut, Anytime Gena steps forward, li scoots back, slapping Nolin an intercepting check hook to prevent blonde from getting off. Gena pawing the jab, hurling ponderous right hands—Ali’s ducking under them, wrapping up tight around Nolin’s cushy waist for breaks.
R2: Landry breezing through the minutes, touching Nolin up the jab—blonde blinking, tentative, unable to jump on her foe as Landry circles purposefully around the ring, Ali fighting brilliantly in reverse, fading Nolin’s rare advances, swatting her counter hooks or walking her into stern right hands on the face to keep the blonde off balance. Shutout Landry—Nolin breathing hard through 2.
R3: Gena getting her body on Landry, putting those extra pounds to good use. Brawny clinches, muscular struggling to twist the opponent off balance, walk her around—Nolin generally stacking her girl into the ropes. Gena holding and hitting, riding that left arm over Ali’s right shoulder, tagging her with jerking right uppercuts oi stuffing mean right hand to the belly. Ali shoulder bumping n the inside and snappig at Gena’s ribcage—both girls absorbing punishment to the body. Close rounds—Gena separates herself late with a concerted bludgeoning of right hands to jugs and tunny, bodying up to smother the receipts in between licks.
R4: Fight heats up, Landry retreating, marking Gena up with sharp jabs, stinging right cross until her back hits the ropes-Nolin lunging in to the body up, wrestling and mauling her foe, then working the stomach with thumping right handout of the wrap. Ref issues the break—Ali circles to midring and the whole process starts again. Midway though, Gena crouched looking like she’s going to body up, chucks a looping right hand instead that catches Ali bracing for a clinch iinstead.li bracing for a clinch instead. Shattering blow high on the head staggers the brunette to her right then ALI GOES DOWN! Landry dropped to all fours via delayed reaction—Nolin plunging down on top of the girl to crush her to the canvas, claims she “lost her balance” as the ref pulls her off. Landry takes a groggy 8, but she’s not all back when Nolin wades back in. Brutal Gena Lee at her best, walloping rights and lefts have Ali covering up, Gena wrapping her arms around Landry’s shoulders on follow through, holding her for vicious body shots and jug work, Landry butt-in ropes, hands up limp—she’s riding it out, dazed, hurt and in the dying seconds a PLOWING Nolin right crashes pass Ali’s left wrist to clout the jaw. Pretty Ali Landry out of her feet, swooning forward into Gena’s beefy chest—grinning blonde stands there with left at her side, pumping right uppercuts into Landry’s body until brunette sloughs off and drops face first to the canvas. KO4 Gena Lee Nolin.
After: Ali ashambles on her stool when Gena comes for her—cruel, jiggly walk of shame as big blonde takes voluptuous brunette for a tour. Nolin outboxed, outclassed, but getting it done with that booming right hand—muscular effort on the inside really wore Ali down despite the brunette’s vaunted strength in close. Despite the PR campaign, Nolin pretty much looking like a middleweight these days—allowing herself to be coaxed to welter only when the money and exposure makes starvation worth while.

04 APRIL 2003 ALI LANDRY VS ELLE MACPHERSON
Posted by Simguy on 4/4/2003 6:38 am,
Before: “No way MacPherson beats me,” says Landry, flat-out. “I’m a slump-proof fighter—I’ve had a couple od bad breaks, but that’s it. I’m back and it all starts with Elle.”
Mac a long right handed slugger of the type that has given Ali trouble in the past, predicts a different outcome: “Landry’s lost her way. I’ve watched tape of her from three different years and she’s definitely not the fighter she once was. She’s getting exposed big time by me and I’m ready to become the class of this division.
Ali in pale blue push up. Teal bikini trunks, Elle in dark chocolate brown, spaghetti strap tankini of her own design, battle braid.
During R1: Fencing session early as the girls seek to establish jabs—by the midway point, Landry’s having some trouble negotiating range on her lanky opponent. Final minute—Ali pulling straight back—Elle leans into a gorgeous, fully extended right and catches ALL of her opponent’s chin! Ali spilling to the ropes suddenly undone—she faces into a series walloping right hands on the face at the bell—Elle tackled away by the ref as Landry’s left swooning on the spot.
R2: Ali can’t get her legs back00Mac taking it to her! Elle circling left, potshotting Landry with stinging, full-bodied jabs on the face, leaning in with that splashing right hand and she is CATCHING Ali flush on the jaw. MIdway point it’s all adding up I Landry’s curvy legs—brunette stepping in fence post holes, struggling forward to clinch. Elle won’t have it---expertly butting Landry in the teeth with a shoulder to reject the hug, chasing her backwards with more crashing right hands. Ali in shock at the bell, shutout, busted up—Elle all serioys as she struts back to her corner.
R3: Shutout Elle MacPherson! Elle loving it to Ali’s face with spearing jab, stepping in with the punch, moving Landry backward. Ali straight back, looking frustrated—she’s constantly getting tagged by Elle’s lunging right hand. Landry shelled, touched up all around the ring—brunette just can’t seem to find an effective distance through 3.
R4,5: Landry getting back into this thing, She times her jab better, doubling up on it over the gap between fighters, then edging close to hook Elle’s midsection. Mac looking to walk Ali into rights but not pulling the trigger when Landry gets inside, she’s the boss.
R6: Good start for Landry evaporates as Mac finally dials in the intercepting right hand at the 2 minute mark. Landry jammed hard over her left shoulder as she comes in—brunette staggering to a halt in no-man’s land, subjected to a raking blonde hook and more pulverizing crosses as Elle opens up. Landry in disarray, stumbling back wobbly butt, arms outstretched in plaintive don’t-hurt-me gesture but Elle’s not listening. Mac pursuing, extending on right hands, restarting behind her jab, then leaping in again—she’s POUNDING away of Ali’s jaw. Final moments—Ali groggy from rejected attempts to clinch and unable to get all the way out of range, soaking up right hand after right hand on her chin—veteran pageant princess takes a knee to relieve the awful punishment Elle parading wit hands held high, subjecting Ali to an unbearable strut while brunette takes a dazzled 8.
R7: Ali shopworn off her stool, not moving well—Elle on top of her in seconds with that ramrod stick, bashing Landry to the ropes. Ali arms crossed, leaning back shabby into the ropes, leaning forward—Elle feathering jabs, eyes alight as she seeks right hand opportunities on her slumping foe. HAMMERING connects draw screams from the crowd—Landry glassy-eyed, sliding to her right along the ropes, hands in her lap and ALI GOES OUT ON HER FEET! Ref jumps in—Ali staring bleary-eyed over his shoulder as Elle leaps for joy. Upset TKO7 Elle MacPherson.
After: It’s official—Ali Landry’s o the first slump of her professional career. Elle MacPherson drinking on the triumph, collecting a huge win an she doesn’t want it to end. She greedily pulls a weary Landry off her stool and sloooowly walks her around the ring, nodding and waving to fans and well-wishers, taunting members of Ali’s stable. Rewarded with the sight of gnashing teeth and white knuckled fists. It’s Mac’s night—she got to Ali with right hands, stayed on her with right hands and closed her out with right hands for a career-best performance.

26 APRIL 2003 ALI LANDRY VS MONICA BELLUCCI
Posted by Simguy on 4/26/2003, 10:03 am.
Before: Landry coming back tough after that cataclysmic slugfest with Theon—and facing the same sort of criticism that Charlize is taking for getting in with Dina Meyer.
“Last tme I checked, I left Theron in a heap,” brags Landry in pre-fight. “She’s the one who needs to take it easy. Me—I want to see what this new Euro-chick’s all about. A lot of people think this will be a tough bout—I’m not so sure. I’m a big step up from Daisy Fuentes and this Bellucci gal couldn’t handle even THAT much heat.” Jury is still out on Monica—big impressive wins, but a little exposed against the professional smooth of Ms. Fuentes--Landry the right test at the right time.
Ali in gold bikini—Monica in black halter top, gold loop between the breasts, hipster leotard print trunks—that’s a good looking brunette match up.
During R1: Fuentes countered Monica—Ali countering her, and tearing Bellucci up. Landry smiling, punching with and beating Monica to punches—Italian not moving her head much, getting nailed as she pitches, goes wobbly butt early from flush connects. Crowd groans midway through as Landry lands a shattering right/left/right on the face, stepping back as Bellucci swoons to all fours in a fog. Ali strutting, ginning. Tossing her head—she’s feeling it. Moments later, Landry touching Monica all over with that pageant jab—Bellucci stooped forward behind her guard, trudging through the leather—Landry slides back, leans into splashing right on the sternum. Woozy cry of pain from Monica as her guard drops—she sinks to hands and knees again as Ali prances. Round finishes up to the sight of Ali stacking a shaky Monica up at the ropes and just working her over—Landry piecing out a bashing barrage of lefts and rights, clubbing Bellucci about the head and shoulders.
R2: Bellucci shows backbone—she took a poleaxing from Ali in the first, shakes it off, comes out alert, executing this round. Classy stuff midring—Monica varying her jab somewhat, sticking between the breasts and on the teeth of Landry—Ali not countering it as easily. Landry stepping left, putting a hissing jab to good work, banging away chest and head on her foe in turn. Even down the stretch—Bellucci feathering jabs extends on a pitching right hand that catches Landry bending back—ALI GOES WOBBLY BUTT! Ali staggering hurt to the ropes, jumping in to clinch smart as Bellucci gets too close on follow up to finish.
R3: Three crisp minutes of boxing—girls spearing away at each other with spiteful jabs, circling warily clockwise, Bellucci shooting the left to the body on occasion, also dropping more right hands—Ali blocking or stepping ouit in anticipation of any power shot, but she doesn’t get as much done in a tactical third.
R4: Shutout Ali Landry, Little bit of everything from the American—doubling up the jab as she scoots left, spotting the right hand firm to tummy and chin, sidestepping Bellucci pretty whenever Monica leans forward behind her guard. Ali dipping to either side to lick rights or lefts against Monica’s flanks—Bellucci doing a lot of standing and taking as Ali tans her up.
R5: Monica showing tenacity—she’s been outfought and outwitted much of the bout, but she’s sticking to her game plan. Jab really banging back at Ali’s head, forcing Landry farther outside to regroup—Monica stalking more, walking her girl down this round.
R6: Monica getting to Ali with long right hands—Italian has great range, sneaky delivery—Landry just a heartbeat too slow leaning away from these shots. Bellucci smart as Ali looks to bring it inside, clinching up on the American and holding for breaks---Mon doesn’t want to match mitt-speed with Landry in tight.
R7: Close round, but Monica’s definitely frustrating Ali with punch and clutch. American knows she can outwork Monica on the inside, but Bellucci disciplined, glomming on, walking her girl to the ropes and hugging for the break. Bellucci also roughing it up in the clinch--banging Ali’s mouth and breasts with repeated elbows., working on Ali’s eyes with subtle head-scrub. Final minute, Monica caps it off by hitting on the break, leaning into a gorgeous right hand to the teeth that catches Ali with hands down, sprawls her stunned against the ropes. Stern warning from ref—what does Bellucci think this is? Figure Skating?
R8: Monica putting together a very controlled, measured performance. The holding an borderline fouling have Ali ruffled Outside, Bellucci’ able to jab with Ali and she’s getting to American chin with right hands. Landry finding spots, edging in to clout jug or shoeshine the body, but she can’t sustain anything against Bellucci’s consistent smother. Ali losing her temper at the bell in another tight clinch, pushing her opponent, berating the ref. Monica catlike as she turns away, indifferent to the rage.
R9: Another competitive round—most of then have been close, but it’s Monica having more of it her way. Landry just doesn’t like the clinching and roughhouse, getting brawled up against the ropes, tugged and tormented in the corners. Not a lot of clean punching, but Bellucci always extending on a few shearing right hands to catch the judges eyes and separate herself on the cards.
R10: Monica finishes up strong. Ali broken down mentally if not physically—she stands in front of her foe, gloves up, indecisive while Bellucci goes to work. Monica dressing Ali up from outside, firm, spanking jabs, smashing off either shoulder knocking back the head, pumping into jug. Midway through, Monica ambling right, strolling, all casual, then suddenly swinging into a crashing right that wedges in around Ali’ guard. Landry staggered, covered up hurt on the spot—Monica palms up, lavishes either American flank with big, slinging rights or left. Ali suffering, hunched over an taking—Monica tidies up on Landry to the bell. Monica bellowing, lifting her mitts as she struts away—Landry shopworn, anticipating the worst. Comes back bruising UD10—Monica Bellucci.
After: Astonishing performance—Bellucci arrived, After the Fuentes bout, many doubted the Italian’s ability to compete at the highest levels with new-world fighter but this one’s hard to deny. Landry roaring out to a commanding lead in the first half, but those two rounds Monica won early would be the toe=-hold she’s need to turn the cards in her favour. Bellucci sweeps the final 5 heats, lays a cozy beating on a somewhat shellshocked Ali Landry, and looks forward to potential gold in the not-to-distant-future.
