TESS VALMORE
LOWNDES/[PANETTIERE. Lowndes has a career record of 52-31-1 and has won six of her last ten with Emma Roberts and Olivia Holt being among her victims. Two of her losses were to Vanessa Hudgens, one being in a title fight in January.
Panettiere is in the Hall Of Fame and is a three time flyweight champion. She has been in a funk recently losing five of her last six. This fight is for the best of three as the two have fought twice with each having a win. Due to Hayden’s recent problems I have to go with Lowndes.
CHERYL .COLE/KEEGAN. Cole is 2-0 for the year and was won eight of her last eleven. Keegan has lost her last seven and nine of her last ten. There is no double in my mind, (such as it is) that Cole will win this fight
MORETZ/CABELLO. Moretz is 3-1 for the year and has won seven of her last ten and should rise in the next Boxing World’s rankings.. Cabello lost her only fight last year and has lost eight of her last ten. This will be her first fight of the
Year. It will be her first loss of the year. Moretz in six.
S.GOMEZ/LIND. Gomez lost a title fight in early January This will be her second fight of the year. She is another LCA fighter who has won as least seven of her last ten beating Bella Thorne, Lilly and Chopra. Lind has won five of her last ten. She also lost to Rose but she also lost to Chopra. While that doesn’t mean a lot, I will go with Selena,
DOBREV/LOVATO. I have Dobrev on my Hall Of Fame watch. She needs two wins and nine fights to qualify. She has won eight of her last ten, sound familiar for an LCA fighter? Lovato has won five of her last ten but two of those losses were to Lamborghini in JMD fights, the last one last month was in a JMD title fight. The two have fought twice, each winning won but this is billed as a grudge fight, probably because in Lovato’s win in April 2019. She took the title away from Dobrev. That fight was on the 26th, just three days short of the third anniversary. I happen to like Dobrev. I think she will win.
ALDRIDGE/WILLERTON. Aldridge has only won six of her last ten. Not only that, but she has lost four of her last five. Two of those losses were to Agdal. Willerton
has a 10-7 combined record and is 6-2 in the FCBA. Willerton was 6-1 last year but has won six of her last ten. She lost her first bout of this year to Hannah Ferguson. I think Aldridge will come out of her little funk and win
KUBICKA/LIPA. This could be embarrassing. I just put Kubicka on my lightweight watch list. She is another LCA member who has won eight of her last ten. I’ve never been able to figure Lipa out. I have put her in the top ten several times only to have her lose a couple. She has a 27-13 combined record and is 19-12 in the FCBA. She has fought a far more tougher schedule and I think she is going to be the betting favorite. This is big step up for Kubicka and she needs to take advantage of it. I have to put my money where my mouth is a predict a Kubicka upset.
CORRIGAN/M.KERR Would you believe it, Corrigan has won eight of her last ten over what I would call average competition. He career record is 14-5. Kerr has a combined 41-22 record in four different boxing associations. She has been for more successful in the BBU were she is 13-2 and has won the BBU Lightweight title twice. In the FCBA she is 23-19. Now 39, she appears to be on the downside losing seven of her last ten. She has never beaten an LCA fighter losing to Decker, Yustman and Kubicka, This rounds like a broken record but I am going to go with the LCA member again. Corrigan wins
ROHRBACH/HOOPES. JMD
YUSTMAN/STRAHOVSKI. Strahovski is a four time Unified Lightweight champ and is in the Hall Of Fame, She will be forty in a couple months and she seems to be moving to the downside. She has lost all three of her fights this year and seven of her last ten. One of those losses was a title fight against her arch rival Winstead in a title fight. Yustman is only 37, but also has had her problems. She has lost her last three and seven of her last ten. This is a fight that LCA is going to lose. Strahovski in seven
FREEMAN/HURLEY. Really? Hurley is now fifty-six. She did have three fights last year winning two. The loss was to Theron in best of seven that took twenty-two years to complete. One of her wins was over Schiffer who is fifty-two and the other over Sykes who was 52 at the time. Freeman will forty later this month . Freeman is not setting the world on fire having lost six of her last ten, but she is still sixteen years younger than Hurley. Freeman will win
DECKER/FERGUSON. This is the sixth fight between the two with Decker winning three of the five. This fight it bare knuckle and AMD. AMD is the dumbest title in the history. Tractorpull refuses to recognize it. We will pass
KELLY/BECKINSALE. This is a huge fight for Minka. This is Minka’s 100th fight. It’s the door to a Hall Of Fame. She already has the required win ratio. She needs to win, because you can’t get into the Hall on a loss. She will soon be 42. She is 3-1 for the year and is 5-5 in her last ten She has held the bantam title once. Beckinsale now 47, is in the Hall Of Fame and is the only member never to hold a title. This will be her first fight of the year after going 8-4 last year. It’s hard to believe but after both being in the bantams for thirteen years, they have never fought. Kelly has all the incentive. She will get into the Hall Of Fame.
In doing these prediction I was surprised. I alway considered LCA to be a lightweight/welter stable. It appears that actual strength in the flyweight and bantams
