TESS VALMORE
Once again, it is time for our much maligned lightweight and welter rankings. Our rankings differ from those of finance at Boxing World in several respects. We require activity. We ill not allow a fighter to sit in a ranked position without fighting. A fighter to be ranked must fight at least every third PPV or ninety days which ever is longer. We put great emphasis on competition. A winning record is meaningless unless the competition is considered. To our way of thinking, a 3-2 record against top ten opponents is better than 10-0 against second or third tier competition. We do not rank a fighter in more than one class. We rank them in the weight class in which they are most active. We do no take JMD/DD fights into consideration. Boxing World does take them into consideration. Our rankings are one through ten with the champion frequently not being number one as often the champion is not the best fighter
