TESS VALMORE
Once again it’s time for our much maligned lightweight and welter rankings. Our rankings differ from those of my fiancé at Boxing World in several respects. We require activity. We will not allow a fighter to sit in a ranked position without fighting. A fighter, to be ranked, must fight at least every third PPV or ninety days whichever is longer. We put great emphasis on competition. A winning record is meaningless unless the competition is considered. To our way of thinking, a 3-2 record against top ten opponents is far better than a 10-0 record against third tier competition. We do not rank a fighter in more than one weight class. We rank them in the class in which they are most active. We do not take JMDD bouts into consideration. Boxing World does take them into consideration. We do not list a champion. The ranking are one through ten with the Champion often not being number one, as she is often not the best fighter
LIGHTWEIGHTS.
1. YVONNE STRAHOVSKI Still the top lightweight. She lost her last two being upset by Torv and then losing to Righetti who is one of the top two or three fighters in the FCBA
2. ADRIANA LIMA Move to two with her win over Swift Last fight in July
3. KENDAL JENNER Her upset loss to Ren cost her one spot
4. ALEXIS REN: Moves up on her win over Jenner and has beaten Swift
