Reporter: "Welcome everyone to Boxing World's live stream. And, I'm very pleased to introduce a special guest giving us an exclusive interview today, Camila Mendes!"
Camila: "Thanks! It's a pleasure to be sitting down with Boxing World for my first live interview...and my first interview of any kind as a member of the Odds and Ends Fight Studio!"
Reporter: "That's right, FCBA fans. Ms. Mendes has signed a contract with the inscrutable Odd Man and will be joining his already-stacked flyweight division. And, Camila, before we go any further, I think you stand out as yet another example of what a girl can do in the FCBA when she takes advantage of an opportunity. You got a shot at Asylum against Jane Levy, and you went out and impressed everyone. That led to more fights...and, to THIS..."
Camila (smiling): "Well. That was certainly what I was thinking when I took the fight. Not about getting signed, that was too far in the future, but about going out and putting some stuff on video that would get people's attention. That's what I did, and that's part of the reason that I'm here."
Reporter: "I'm going to ask this...because, sources have told me that there were other stables showing interest...why Odds and Ends?"
Camila: "Odds and Ends has had a ton of success, so that didn't hurt. But, it's also a place where I think I fit. The flyweight division here is very young now. Sarah's the only girl in the division who's older than 23. We're all young and we're all going places and I hope we'll get there together."
The camera turns away from the two shot of Mendes and the reporter abruptly to focus on a stunning brunette coming through the door in nothing but a bath robe.
Tahnee Atkinson: "So, is this an interview then? With our newest member?"
Camila and the reporter are back on camera as Atkinson saunters up to them.
Reporter: "Um, yes, Tahnee...but, if you've got something you want to say..."
Atkinson pulls the robe partially apart, revealing quite a bit of cleavage.
Tahnee: "Well. I guess I could remind everyone that Ferguson's about to get a taste of these as I unify the JMDD and welterweight belts. But, of course, everyone KNOWS that, so, I'll let you get back to the interview."
The camera follows Tahnee as she walks slowly out of the room.
Reporter: "A-HEM!"
The camera refocuses on the two shot.
Camila (laughing): "Tahnee's part of all that success I mentioned..."
Reporter: "Speaking of which, it looks like Boxing World had some success where you're concerned, because, in January's issue, we chose YOU as the girl who should be signed in 2018!"
Camila: "And, it took less than a month into the year for it to happen, so, thanks for the assist."
Reporter: "Anything else you want to say before we sign off..."
Camila: "Well, I want to thank Odds and Ends for having faith in me, faith that will absolutely be rewarded with victories and gold. And, I'd like to thank the fans who've been so supportive during my relatively short time on the big stage in boxing. I look forward to rewarding THEM with victories and gold as well."
Reporter: "Well, thanks Camila and thanks to everyone for joining us. See you next time!"
