Before: Order having been restored following the events of Fight #2, the conflict between the two stables was running hot going into the third and decisive. Not only was there the outcome of the stable war (now tied at 1 win apiece), but FCBA Bantamweight Champion, HISC’s Priyanka Chopra, had put her title belt on the line against PLP’s Shay Mitchell.
“I am here to finish the job against the Punchers. Oh, I likely won’t do anything quite as spectacular as young Ms. Lind, but I will have proved our organizations superiority—and, of course, my own superiority as well. I am not saying this to underestimate Shay Mitchell. She did defeat Bella Thorne last time out, but I am simply the better boxer.”
“Oh really?” Shay retorts. “Then how come I’ve beaten you twice and you’ve only beaten me once!”
Priyanka smiles condescendingly: “The first two times were in 2016 and 2020, but in 2022, I had figured you and it was over in 7. Now I get to even things up and show I am at the top of my game and you—well, you’re not.”
“Well, ‘Big Choppy’, you are about to get chopped down to size and that goes for the rest of your arrogant group.”
“It’s not arrogance if you are that good—and we are. Michelle was just a lucky win for that mouthy little blonde of yours!” Priyanka fired back.
“You know, I am tired to talking trash. I suggest we get on to the fight where I can finally shut you up!” Shay replied with heat.
“I am all for that. Let us get to the ring so I can start on your beating as soon as possible!” Priyanka replied with a deadly glint in her eyes.
“Your beating starts then, too,” is Shays reply with her eyes showing that same deadly glint.
The growing antagonism was soon apparent in the ring s the two fighters removed their robes and seemed to crowd up against each other. Chest and hip bumping. Referee has to soeak sternly to keep things from getting out of hand.
Priyanka is in a dark purple one piece swimsuit light purple globes and boots (dark purple laces). Her hair is pulled into a top knot. Shay is in a dark blue two piece high waist swimsuit, with sky blue gloves and boots with dark blue laces. Her hair is in messy ponytail.
The referee now able to get through the instructions. The two then slam their mitts together in a noisy glove “tap”. They give each they a parting ghe excitrment builds quickly and then is released with a roar as DING! The timekeeper sounds the bell…
R1: Priyanka and Shay head out to the center of the ring and circle each other exchanging probing punches. Then Priyanka moves, keeping her upper body in motion to confuse Shay and then strikes hard against Shay’s chin. The blow pushes Shays head back and her knees buckle. She does keep her gloves up as she falls back, but this allows Priyanka easy access to Shay;s midriff and she pounds away at it until she has Shay all hunched up. Priyanka finishes the round by blows to the sides of Shay’s head to keep her from launching much in the way of counters. “Big Choppy” wins the opeer by a wide margin.
R2: Out the fighters come for the new round and Shay Mitchell unexpectedly leaps forward to bring a SMASHING right into Priyanka Chopra’s face. Priyanka put back on her heels with blood trickling from one nostril. Shay rapidly firing in her left and right gloved fists punishing Priyanka to the jaw. Priyanka looking hard-pressed until she is able to swerve backwards and buy herself some distance from Shay. Shay quick to overtake the Champion, who now is able to throw up some counters, but Shay working Priyanka’s abs in a steady punching beat to the bell. Shay Mitchell has now won R2 wide.
R3: Priyanka and Shay out rapidly. They maneuver around each with first Priyanka and then Shay darting in, firing off a flurry of punches before retreating. This back and forth goes on through the first minute but then Shay comes in, hammering at Priyanka to the body and stay there, trying to grind the Champ down to the torso. Priyanka quick to pick up the challenge and gives it right back to Shay’s body. Two are now almost touching sweat dripping foreheads as they bring short rights and lefts to hammer ribs, abs and breasts, The battle rages on and on until Shay’s hooks deep into Priyanka’s belly backs her up with a gurgling groan. Priyanka pulls away, though in good order using her jab to stall Shay’s pursuit. Bell sounds to end a close round. Judges give it to Shay Mitchell by a narrow margin.
R4: Priyanka Chopra seems to rally with this round. She is out with determination and starts with bell-ringing hard ones to Shay’s head. Shay looks wobbly as she gets her gloves up high, but now Priyanka starts giving the challenger big meaty hooks that soon are drawing gurgling groans from Shay. Shay is bent over at the waist, but she keeps trying to strike back. Priyanka keeps banging Shay’s abs until she has Shay backing up near the ropes. Then Priyanka seems to sense Shay’s high guard is weakening. She DRIVES a straight right between Shay’ gloves that EXPLODES in the challengers face. Shay’s legs suddenly become entangled AND SHAY SLIDES DOWN THE ROPES! Shay in a seated position, back to the strands with a stunned look on her face, as Priyanka looks down on her in satisfaction. Then the champion is off to the neutral corner and the referee is moving, As the official counts, Shay Mitchell is using the ropes to help pull herself erect. She makes it up at “EIGHT!” Priyanka looks disappointed but then shrugs and heads in once the referee signals her. However Shay has her guard up more firmly now and though Priyanka can go back to work Shay’s torso, Shay is fighting back with quick jabs as counters. Bell sounds. Priyanka wins easily and has the first knockdown, but Shay seems to have plenty of fight left and so this bout is not over
R5: Priyanka goes right for Shay’s head as soon they come within range at the start of the new round, but Shay is proving a hard target as she is constantly on the move. Priyanka giving chase and finally slows Shay down with a cracking right to the jaw and a ripping uppercut to the chin Shay falls back with her gloves up so Priyanka goes after the challenger to the body. Priyanka with slashing rights and lefts into Shay’s rib cage, but then Shay suddenly strikes back with a stunning blow to the point of Priyanka’ chin. Priyanka lurches back as now Shay surges forward striking at the Champion head and body. Priyanka covers up long enough to regain her composure despite Shay’s hooks into her belly and ribs. Then Priyanka counterattacks with smashing rights and lefts to Shay’s jaw sending her backwards. Now Priyanka advances, but then Shay rallies and pounds home stunning blows to Priyanka’s face. Priyanka recoils, but as Shay advances, the Champion fights back with face shots of her own. The two fight it out as time runs out. They finish the round with faces swollen and bloody, but it is Priyanka Chopra who has pulled out the close victory in this stanza.
R6: Lot of cleanup work required by the HISC and PLP corners between the rounds. The crews wipe off the blood and do what they can for the various cuts and bruises. The bell sounds and both Priyanka Chopra and Shay Mitchell come trotting out of their corners ready for action. Shay is the more aggressive in the early going. She circles around Priyanka and tries to distract her with quick, annoying jabs. Priyanka seems to be growing frustrated with these tactics. Finally charges forward trying to force Shay into short range action to the body. Shay stepping aside at the last moment and heaves an overhand right that hits Priyanka in the right temple. Priyanka suddenly stumbling forward, Shay manages a quick shot to the jaw AND PRIYANKA CHOPRA FALLS TO HER KNEES! Shay looks elated as she scrambles to the neutral corner vision of title belts dancing in her head. Alas, as Shay watches and the referee counts, Priyanka pulls herself together and rises to break the count at “EIGHT!” Fight resumes with Priyanka actually trying to counterattack to Shay’s head, but Shay clips her on the chin and this seems cause Priyanka to adopt more cautious tactics. Priyanka finishes the fight, her face in her gloves with Shay punching the flanks to little effect. Round ends but Shay nw has a knockdown of her own and a round won wide.
R7: Priyanka tries to regain the offensive as she comes out this round. She and Shay get into a furious battle in the center of the ring Initially it is Priyanka using head and body punches to push Shay back, but then Shay rallies and counterattacks. A series of jaw and chin shots from Shay seem to stun the Champion. Shay gets in close, she seems to be trying to drive the Champion into the ropes, and pounds away at Priyanka’s midsection. Priyanka is being pushed back steadily, but she is fighting a stubborn defensive battle. Say finally gets Priyanka’s backside into the ropes just as the bell rings. Shay turns away looking disappointed. Priyanka looks relieved. Shay Mitchell wins the round, but Priyanka able to keep it close.
R8: Shay and Priyanka go at it at mid ring once again. Shay driving forward from a crouch as she punches away at Priyanka to the body. Priyanka trying to force her back with counters bouncing off the sides of Shay’s head, but Shay still grinding away against the Champion’s ribs and abs. Then Priyanka gets an uppercut into Shay’s chin and then another and another! Shay’s attack now falters to a stop. Now Priyanka battles back with more punches to the chin and jaw of the challenger. Shay it stumbling back, trying to regain her balance but then Priyanka stuff’s hooks into Shay’s belly and Shay is gasping for air. Then Priyanka returns to Shay’s for another big burst of uppercut clout! Shay tries to step forward but then her legs collapse and she sags into the surprised arms of Priyanka. The Champion jumps back as Shay slides down her font and ends up near the toes of Priyanka’s purple boots. SHAY MITCHELL IS DOWN!
Priyanka goes to the neutral corner and looks back with concern. The referee is counting but Shay is trying to rise, somehow finding the strength to push herself up to all fours. Then she starts to rise further, but then her strength fails She sinks back to all fours, her head hanging down as she hears:
“NINE!...TEN!.,..YER OUT!”
THE WINNER AND STILL FCBA BANTAMWEUGHT CHAMPION: PRIYANKA CHOPRA OF HAWKEYE INTERNATIONAL! BY KO IN ROUND 8!”
HISC WINS 2 FGHTS TO !!
After: The HISC ladies rush into the ring and hoist Priyanka Chopra on their shoulders. Meanwhile the PLP ladies quietly help a stricken Shay Mitchell back to her corner. They cluster around her as Priyanka Chopra appears. Shay gets to her feet.
“I am ready,” Shay says.
“Oh, I don’t think I Walk is necessary. I made my point by beating you,” Priyanka says :and besides I thought someone should show some class around here.”
“Yes, you won, but I didn’t make it easy for you. I thought I had you in the 5th.” Shay said.
“I’m not denying it, but I got you down that second time and it was all over. So now we’re even. For the moment that is enough, but I warn you, being tied 2-2 is not going to satisfy me for long. One of these days I’m going to looking to make it 3-2 in my favor.”
“I’ll be waiting,” Shay said, “only don’t count it being 32 in YOUR favor, it be in MINE!
“I may risk it,” Priyanka said and exchanged a hug with Shay and departed for her own teammates.
It was quite a battle, one knockdown apiece before Priyanka Chopra made it stick with a second knockdown of Shay Mitchell. It was an action-packed back and forth battle. Priyanka now has two successful title defenses and fans wonder who she will fight next. Meanwhile, Shay Mitchell may have taken the loss, but she fought hard ad came close to victory, bt not close enough. Her next fights should be very interesting.
