Our reporter sits in The Great Room at The Manor watching baseball and basketball and sipping cold beverages with Poindexter Del Crunchy and the Man In The Hat.
Reporter: "So...guys...possibly THREE fights on this pay-per-view? That's a LOT for Front Street..."
Pointy: "True enough, lad. Usually one or two is what we get. But, we're going to take these opportunities and give our girls a chance to take advantage of them."
Reporter: "Wiz, you said that, obviously, Gemma's fight is huge, since it's for the title, and Kennedy's is big, because she's getting to a point where she needs to take a step. Isn't Williams the kind of challenge you usually don't take for a girl like Billie?"
Man In The Hat: "Here's the thing. What we don't want to do, what we NEVER want to do, is put one of our kids in a situation where she'd be over her head. That's an invitation to a set back in a lot of ways. You don't want someone to get taken apart and have their confidence broken. And, when you're dealin' with Mishy, well. She's the kind of a girl that can get in a girl's head and do all KINDS of damage..."
Reporter: "But..."
Man In The Hat: "But. Billie Eilish is not your average 19 year old. This is a girl who knows what she's about. Now, she's an underdog against Mishy, sure. But. She's not going to get her confidence shaken and Williams is NOT gonna get in her head. Mishy might win, but she's not going to do the kind of psychological damage you worry about, because Billie's made of sterner stuff. And, that bein' the case, this fight is win/win for us..."
Reporter: "How so?"
Man In The Hat: "Well, think of the two possible outcomes. Mishy wins. OK. Mishy's a Hall of Famer with thirteen titles. Billie hasn't even had 13 FIGHTS. So, where are we if she loses? Exactly where we were before the fight. Billie's a developin' flyweight, gettin' better every time out and workin' her way up the rankings, and she can ONLY improve gettin' in with Mishy. A loss doesn't hurt her at ALL. But. If she WINS? She takes a huge step forward, a quantum leap. So, the risk/reward here is absolutely HUGE for us. And, that's why we're takin' this fight. Now. Let's watch some ball, shall we?"
