For The second month is a row the May PPV was another huge 46 bout card. There were three title fights. Olivia Host successfully defended her title against Danielle Campbell. Naomi Scott retained her bantam beating a tough Kira Kosarin. Kendall Jenner remained the lightweight champ by scoring a TKO over
Tasya Teles in the 12th round in a rare overtime title fight. Only Kate Upton was not on the card to defend her title having defended it two weeks earlier in a FNL card. Instead she was seen ringside supporting Charlize Theron in her best of seven bout.
Nothing surprising happened in the welters. Three of the top eight welters were in action and to nobodies surprise, they all won. As usual there were no fighters that made any waves in the welter rankings. It is still the top eight and cannon fodder. As Fates has already observed Karlie Kloss is not the fighter she was shortly after joining the FCBA. She was destined for a championship. Now she is becoming a go to.
Kendall Jenner has already picked Emily DiDonato for her next title fight which was a little surprising to me. While DiDonato retained her JMDD title, Jenner had defeated DiDonato in February. Jenner is going for what should be the best of seven and DiDonato currently holds a 2-1lead over Jenner. Taylor Swift won. That could help her get a title shot. The two have already fought five times with Jenner holding 3-2 lead in another probable best of seven series. One upset in the lightweights was Samantha Hoopes beating Sagra ending any hopes Sagra may have had to take the title from Jenner.
The bantams are as deep as the welters are shallow. Scott should have no trouble choosing an opponent for her next fight that would be non-controversial
Jenny McCarthy put a hurt on Kate Beckinsale chances of getting into the Hall. Of Fame. I would consider Mac’s win an upset, but not an earth shattering one
The flyweights are also deep and Holt has a wide range of choices however they all are in the category of “usual suspects”
When is the MADNESS going to stop. Eight new fighters made their debut in May bringing the total to approximately 60 for the first five months. Today Is June 1 and already four more have made their debut. Most of these will get one or two fights in their short and unspectacular careers if past history holds true.
