6. Megan Fox vs Reese Witherspoon II

BEFORE:
A tale of two actresses at the peak of their careers about ten years ago when Reese Witherspoon KO’ed Megan Fox in ten epic rounds of back-and-forth action. To hear Megan remember that evening, the Vixen shakes her head as she recalls how close she came to winning that match, only to have the infernal referee jump in literally at the last minute to wave off her chances of a comeback.
“I should have won that fight. I was up in points. Reese took that win away from me that night, and I’m here to take it back,” Megan says with a nod. “Some reporters are asking why I’ve waited this long to ask for a rematch. Simple. IF I’m going to enter the Hall-of-Fame sooner rather than later, I want to do it AFTER tying up those loose ends. Not before. I have never forgiven myself for falling to Witherspoon that evening, and I won’t be able to do so again if I crossed the finish line without beating her.”
“Well, if you wanted to lose that badly a second time, all you had to do was ask, Megan,” Reese smirks from across the press table, still looking stunning in a black tube dress and long red heels. “I seem to recall that evening differently, and how it ended in particular. There’s no doubt in ANYONE’S mind who won that evening, and if Megan wants to do a little soul-searching tonight whilst I knock her out again, that’s fine by me.”
Square off at the podium shows off the interesting contrast between both competitors in our main event: Fox three inches taller and close to a decade younger, which makes the result of their first match all the more suspect and nagging at the back of the Vixen’s mind. If this second fight doesn’t go her way either, the pundits are going to have a field day at the very prospect of Fox entering the Hall-of-Fame.
Hours later, Fox is all geared up in her corner of the ring, ready to begin this rematch. She’s wearing a simple cloth black bikini top, hot dark blue denim shorts, fixing her red gloves with both hands. Reese goes for something a lot more conservative: a grey sports bra tinged with white linings, similar-coloured fighting tights rounding off the look with black boots and white gloves on either hand. There goes the sound of the bell - DING! And HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!
ROUND 1:
Megan’s younger, more energetic and eager, blasting Reese to the middle of her arms good and early. Reese feels that youthful power and grunts out loud, a little shocked at her foe’s newfound determination as more and more punches land. Fox wants to show she’s a different fighter, slams an early combo in the guard to push Witherspoon back, but suddenly takes a return cross across the bow the actress returns fire, choosing fast jabs as effective counters instead of trying to hang and bang with Megan. Fox, however, shrugs off these early blows to her face, powers through another cross to the nose to end the opening round wide in her favour.
ROUND 2:
Reese however checks and parries the Vixen’s attacks in the second round, more easily batting away the challenges as Fox faces trouble landing her jabs this time. Each time the sultry brunette fires a left-right combo towards the head, Witherspoon takes one on her guard before easily slipping to the side to avoid the second, Fox then taking a tight hook across the face for her paltry efforts. Witherspoon’s moving fast for her age, still sharp and focused as she avoids the younger woman’s attacks for the rest of the round. Fox realises she’s losing only in the last minute, falling back and circling, and the two ladies exchange long-range jabs to the face to end it close.
ROUND 3:
The one thing Megan Fox doesn’t want to do is underestimate her foe. That’s how she lost to Witherspoon the last time, and that unfortunately occurs again in the third when Fox tries to play the aggressive role again, sees even less results than the last round when Witherspoon slips around her hooks and plants leather back into the brunette’s face. Fox grunts as another overhand right hand lands on her nose, the Vixen swinging back instinctively but again hitting the air as Reese ducks under her hook, buries one of her own into the brunette’s body. Fox is getting out-worked in close quarters as she gets shocked by an uppercut to her chin, which sends her reeling back dangerously! Reese’s patience pays off here, leading the Vixen around the ring by the nose for the rest of this round! It’s a shutout performance as the blonde leaves her opponent in the dirt!
ROUND 4:
Megan finally adapts her strategy, staying back and keeping her arms locked close to her chest. She pays Reese back with casual shots to her face, this time waiting for the blonde to try and attack first before countering with crisp blows to the nose and lips. Reese lets out another grunt as a fast jab catches her clean on the cheek, blowing her backwards, but Witherspoon also too fresh to get marched down so easily, quickly retaliates with a flurry of her own to Fox’s head, as the two ladies continue bashing on each other’s frames from afar. Close round overall but Fox is the one back in control, not allowing herself to get beaten down like the last round.
ROUND 5:
Fox plays it safe again, absorbs another shot to her arms before Witherspoon decides to CHARGE in to exploit! Megan lets out a gasp as the blonde gets in and on her case when she least expects it, takes another shot to the chin as she tries to fend off the Hollywood actress. Witherspoon is letting those fists fly like she’s back and working the bag in the gym, rocking the Vixen to the body with a dull grunt before scoring another uppercut to the base of Megan’s chin!! AND DOWN MEGAN GOES, her head thrown back from that quick number, which stuns her enough to send her down to her back! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Reese Witherspoon, who just about might repeat history in spectacular fashion!
Fox looks shocked as she stares up at the stadium lights, whilst Witherspoon raises her arms high to acknowledge her own superiority! Referee starts the count and the Vixen is seen slowly rising back to her feet, drawing loud cheers from her fans in the audience as she makes her way back up by the count of 7. Witherspoon is already smirking back in her own corner, giving her opponent a no-nonsense gesture of the gloves to bring it on. Fox nods to the referee that she’s fine to continue, and the rest of the round goes as predicted, with Fox turtling up to survive and Reese trying to soften her up further with more jabs slammed in from afar.
ROUND 6:
Megan tosses a fast combo early on to surprise the blonde to her face, let her bloody-well know that that knockdown attempt ain’t gonna bother her going forward. Reese lets out a grunt as her head’s thrown back, and further attempts to return fire are deterred as Fox flies into action! The Vixen’s probably had enough of this humiliation as she takes the fight right to the blonde! Shots land left and right to the face as Witherspoon takes consistent damage, has to fall back on her guard as she tries to intercept the overwhelming number of jabs and combos coming in at her head and body. Of course, Megan’s youth helps her case here, as she stays close and stops Reese from counterattacking. A sharp, lunging uppercut to the gut knocks the wind out of Reese to end the round, making the Hollywood actress lurch forward and secretly be hella thankful that the round has ended early.
ROUND 7:
Reese looks blasted here as the fight heads into the last quarter, and now, Megan finds herself a winning strategy as she rushes her foe at the bell, capitalising on her weakened state as the body-bashing continues. Reese grunting, wilting fast as her guard gets battered left and right, tummy taking shots as Fox gets close and dirty, folding the actress over in half before Reese attempts to clinch up multiple times, instead getting shoved off back into the ropes for more abuse. Fox in full control here, taking another swing at the actress’ head, which lands right on the side of the ear and SENDS HER DOWN with a blaze of arms and legs! Reese simply got overpowered, sent down to her side, and Fox scores the KNOCKDOWN in the third minute! Reese looks absolutely laid out, lying on her back with her eyes squeezed shut, chest beating hard! This might be it! 8... 9… 10!! Witherspoon’s barely off her back as the referee signals the end of this fight! IT’S OVER!
Official Decision: Megan Fox defeats Reese Witherspoon via KO7!
AFTER:
Fox scores her redemption, waltzing back to her corner with her arms raised to celebrate! Later, she speaks to reporters, sporting a wide smile. “She almost got me again in the fifth, and for a moment, parts of my life flashed before my eyes. But that cocky b*tch got what she deserved. I’ll be sure to invite her to my Hall-of-Fame ceremony.”
Reese meanwhile is at a loss for words as she sits up and recuperates by the ropes, refusing to speak to reporters as she waves all questions off. After the medics do a quick check on her, she quickly signals to her own fight team to get her the hell out of here, and the blonde heads back up the ramp looking spent and perhaps deciding to focus her efforts on her day job, going forward.
Perhaps these two will meet again one day in a deciding rubber match, but for now, Fox celebrates yet another milestone on her way towards a permanent place on the pedestal.
