Tess walks into the Tractorpull reporters section of the building. She passes Amy, the young and pleasant receptionist
Amy: “You coming in from your boxing workout?”
Tess: “You know my schedule too well, How are you doing?”
Amy: “I’m good. When you enter the main reporters office, keep your cool.”
Tess: “What do you mean?”
Amy: “You’ll see”.
Tess enters the reporters section, It a large room with cubicles for the reporters and three private offices to one side. One is Fred’s, the second belongs to Tess and the third is presently vacant. There is some jealousy on the part of some staff that she has a private office. On the back wall, she sees a picture of her in the outfit she was force to wear in her last fight. Approximately six ounces of cloth to cover her six foot frame. In the picture, the bra has slipped exposing most of her breasts. Tess is infuriated. She walks over to Harry, one of her friends .
Tess:” Did you guys really have to do that? It’s really embarrassing’
George: The guys didn’t do it. The women did”
Tess: “Who was the ringleader?”
George: “Sarah”
Tess walks over to Sarah’s cubicle. “Sarah how tall are you?”
Sarah: ‘5’3” why?
Tess ”Ever been in martial arts or boxing fights”? “Would you like to”?
Sarah “Of course not”
Tess: “Well then I suggest you take that picture down now or I will toss you out into the parking lot naked”
Sarah jumps up and dashes back to the wall and starts taking the picture down and tearing it up and Tess heads to see Fred
Tess to Fred. ‘Why didn’t you do something about that picture”
Fred: “It was put up this morning and I have better things to do right now then protect your modesty”
Tess: “Well I”m here, why did you want to see me”?
Fred: “We got another fight for you. Your opponent is 5”11” and she fights for a living. She fights in private club and private events. I understand she has won 25 of 26 fights, but she is another of those wild swingers” You should beat her easily”
Tess: “Tell me the fight isn’t at the private club. They hate me there. Everyone wants me to lose. I’ve become rich Daddy’s girl”
Fred: It’s at the private club. Don’t worry I have talked with the Wiz and Neve and Cassie will be in your corner. Big Pauley is handling your protection. He’ll have Greg who you know and one more of his associates ,so you won’t have any trouble. In fact, he told me that Greg is going to be your personal bodyguard. They will come in in time for the fight and then y’all will fly to the Manor after the fight for your usual stay around Front Street”
Tess: When is the fight?
Fred: Two weeks”
Tess; I’ll be ready and I have to talk to Pauley about that personal bodyguard thing”
“Big Pauley said Greg is good. When you with someone, he will be there and you will never know it and tell Smackey Greg is married with two kids”
Tess: “OK and knowing Big Pauley, saying no is not a choice”
