"I'm back," says Lindsey with a fetching smile, "And, I admit, I didn't show off my best self the last time I was here. Got caught up in the whole power thing with Winter and got sloppy. Well. I won't get sloppy this time, but I WILL knock out Scerbo."
"What Lindsey needs to understand," says a hard-eyed Cassie, "Is that she's LITERALLY in MY house. And, she's going to find out who makes the rules around here."
ROUND ONE:
O'Dell: "Back at ringside and, as usual when Cassandra Lynn is in action, Alison Brie joining us at the announce table. Welcome Alison..."
Alison: "Glad to be here, as always!"
O'Dell: "And, that's 'Brick House' by the Commodores you hear behind us, and here comes blonde beauty Lindsey Pelas!"
McCarthy: "And, Pelas actually HAS FCBA wins. She's going to STARCH Scabbo, and I can't WAIT!"
Tess: "Watch it..."
O'Dell: "Lindsey into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that navy blue number we've seen before, and the crow pops yet again..."
McCarthy: "SHE might make 'Playboy'. Not a CENTERFOLD, of course..."
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones your mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
O'Dell: "That's 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane..."
McCarthy: "I HATE GRACE SLICK..."
Tess: "HERE we go..."
McCarthy: "SHUT UP, WALMART!"
O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, while I remind you that hearing that song can only mean that 'The Heiress' Cassie Scerbo is on her way to the ring..."
Alison: "And, as usual, tapping glove to fist with Tess on her way past the table."
O'Dell: "Scerbo into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, and she's looking plenty good in that white number she prefers..."
McCarthy: "Not in MY league..."
Tess: "That's because YOUR league is the senior's division..."
McCarthy: "WHAT...YOU...SHUT UP, WALMART!"
Alison: "Drink up, boys!"
O'Dell: "Wait...that's MY line..."
Alison: "I've always wanted to say that..."
O'Dell (sighing): "Ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Cassie. Mac?"
McCarthy: "You HEARD my pick. Pelas!"
O'Dell: "And, Cassie has left a note here saying, 'I'm going to win. And, Mac sings like a walrus with double lobar pneumonia'."
McCarthy: "YOU LITTLE...SHUT UP, SCABBO!"
O'Dell (sighing): "Split panel for the second and we start with Cassie looking to jab and circle and Lindsey stepping to and making with some heavy leather! Pelas backing up Cassie, getting very, very aggressive with our girl early. Scerbo giving ground in a big way right now..."
McCarthy: "That's it, Lindsey. Get AFTER her!"
O'Dell: "Scerbo playing defense right now as Pelas is just ALL IN in the opening minutes of the fight, just stepping to and letting the hands go, damning any and all torpedoes. And, while she's missing with a lot of leather, she's landing some as well and preempting Cassie..."
Tess: "My BFF needs to just get moving here."
Alison: "She's not getting squared up, and she's landing in counter, but Cassie needs to move more."
O'Dell: "That seemed to be the plan early, but, when Lindsey started getting after her, Scerbo became more static, and the result is that Pelas has been in control of this thing most of the way. Final seconds ticking off in the first round and there's the bell. Lindsey takes it, and wide."
Alison: "And leads 10-9."
ROUND TWO:
O'Dell: "Lindsey pushing forward. Scerbo showing some more movement now, but we're still not seeing the bouncing, circling Cassie we usually see. Instead, she's slippin' and dippin' and countering as Pelas forces the issue, looking to get physical in there..."
Alison: "Cassie looking for opportunities to counter, and she's finding some..."
O'Dell: "Not a bad strategy against a girl as aggressive as Lindsey's being right now. But, while Pelas is staying aggressive, she's NOT getting sloppy. She's getting the hands out and back quickly, and, again, she's missing some, but she's landing some, too, and she's landing enough."
McCarthy: "Definitely is. Scoring well. Scabbo's keeping it close this time, though."
O'Dell: "Is, indeed. This is slick stuff from Cassandra Lynn, Michelle Williams stuff. Head movement, shoulder movement, slipping a punch here, blocking one there, scoring in counter when she gets a chance. Final seconds ticking off the clock and there's the bell ending the second. Close. But, Pelas."
Tess: "And, Lindsey extends her lead to 20-18."
ROUND THREE:
O'Dell: "Pattern set as we roll into the third. Pelas pushing forward. Scerbo giving ground, slippin' and dippin', countering effectively. Slick stuff from our Cassandra Lynn, who's managing to land more leather in this stanza than she has in either of the first two..."
Tess: "She's been very, very patient. Personal experience tells me a patient Cassie is a dangerous Cassie..."
O'Dell: "Scerbo definitely landing some good shot, but, so is Pelas. Lindsey still fighting lead at this point, getting what she wants as far as terms go. Good exchange there and both fighters landed a hard right hand. Scerbo circles away. Pelas working right back forward again..."
Alison: "Another two-way round, Jenny..."
O'Dell: "Definitely has been. We're down under twenty seconds to go. Not a ton in it. Pelas a good right hand and Scerbo with a nice counter there. A good straight right that got Lindsey's attention. Five seconds left. Scerbo circles away and there's the bell. Very close again. Cassie this time."
McCarthy: "But, Pelas still leads 29-28."
ROUND FOUR:
O'Dell: "Fourth beginning like the third ended. Pelas pressing. Cassie fighting in counter, blocking and slipping, filling openings with sharp leather. Lindsey effectively aggressive, remaining sound. She's getting work done without getting sloppy. Cassie, meanwhile, giving as good as she gets...if not a little better."
McCarthy: "She can't beat Pelas like this. She should be bouncing around in there, not standing in front of this girl."
O'Dell: "Lindsey a nice combination. Scerbo avoided most of it, but Pelas landed a sharp right hand. Cassie circles away. Lindsey right back to work, coming forward, landing a right hand and BEING ROCKED BY A RIGHT-HAND COUNTER! Scerbo staggers Pelas and DROPS HER WITH A LIGHTNING FLURRY..."
Tess: "I TOLD you patience was dangerous!"
O'Dell: "Scerbo to a neutral corner. Pelas down on her back, staring up at the ref. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Lindsey sitting up at seven. Eight. Nine. Pelas to her feet. She beats the count and the ref giving her the mandatory...and waiving on Scerbo! Cassie a BUZZ SAW now, launching flurry after flurry at Lindsey, driving her into the ropes and ROCKING her with a right hook and THE REF HAS SEEN ENOUGH! He leaps between the fighters and waives it off! And your winner by TKO4 is 'The Heiress' Cassie Scerbo!"
Alison: "What a round!"
AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"
Tess: "I have the winner and my BFF, Cassie Scerbo, and, Cassie, everyone was surprised not to see more movement from you..."
Cassie (nodding): "That was one way to go, make her chase. But, that was a longer game than I figured I needed to play. I knew I could out box her and, if I did that, I'd get opportunities. So, that's what I did. And, when I got one? No mistake was made."
Tess: "What's next for you?"
Cassie (smiling): "Oh, I've been thinking about that. And, EVENTUALLY, we'll let everyone else in on it."
