TESS VALMORE
S.COOKE/MUDD. Sam Cooke returns to the Asylum. If you have been paying attention, you should know what that means. You forgot? OK, that means she has already lost one or more fights at the Asylum. In Cooke’s case, she has had two FCBA fights, lost both, both were at the Asylum and both in 2016. She also fights in the BBU where she has a 2-5 record. Boxing World has her ranked at 235 in the bantams, Mudd has won nine straight, although her opponents don’t exactly cause fear among FCBA fighters. Mudd is giving up two inches in height, but is twelve years younger than Cooke. Mudd will win and Cooke will be eligible for a third Asylum visit
GOULDING/REINHART Goulding is also making a return. Her last fight as the Asylum was in 2015 when she lost to Allison Mack. Would it surprise you if I told you Goulding has never won an FCBA fight? She’s a more dangerous fighter than Cooke. She is ranked at 222 in the bantams. She is 0-3. Reinhart may well be the best bantam at Front Street. She has a 20-1 record and has won thirteen straight. She has recently stepped up in the competition food chain and has done quite well. She is a little taller than Goulding and ten years younger. Reinhart shouldn’t; have too much trouble
MADEKWE/ARTERTON. Madekwe is a thirty-nine year old sometime bantam, sometime lightweight. She has had seven FCBA fights in ten years. Her last fight was in 2014. Three of her seven fights were against VanCamp. She managed to win one of those bouts. She is ranked at 175 in the bantams. Arterton is Boxing Worlds number nine lightweight and has won thirteen of her last fourteen. That one loss was to Swift. I doubt this fight will go more than four before Arterton lowers the boom, which she can probably do anytime she wants to.
SPEARRITT/STEWART. Spearritt is another returnee. She actually doesn’t have that bad a record of 10-14 in the FCBA. She’s had one FCBA fight in the last eight years and that was the fight that got her invited back to the Asylum. She lost to Levy who no longer fights for Front Street but is in the office. Spearritt is ranked at 133 in the flyweights, while Stewart is ranked at one. Stewart will win. What a shame.
M.RYAN/PERRY. Everyone knows that Perry and I are almost arch enemies. I don’t want to be in the same room with her. We’ve come close to getting into it a couple of times, but she was saved by fellow stablemates. You don’t know how much I hate to say this, but Perry will win
DRAYTON/BENNET. This is unusual for an Asylum bout. The visitor actually has a winning record of 4-2 in the FCBA One of her wins was an extremely rare visitor win at the Asylum in 2016, when she beat Rambin. Rambin was canned by Front Street six months later. Bennet is ranked at two in the bantams while
Drayton comes in at ninety-four. Bennet, naturally , will win
