Fans at the Asylum paid good money hoping to see sixty rounds of Boxing. Instead that got 28. The first two bouts, Mudd vs Bib and Dennings vs Borth lasted five rounds combined. The longest fight of the night was Reinhart vs Hayley Baldwin, which surprisingly went eight. The PPV was a sweep for Front Street as the stable’s fighters won all six
Reinhart’s win was her thirteenth straight. That coupled with recent losses by Bennet and Dennings is going to make the contest for the first seat in the Front Street bantams rather tight. She could well be pushing Dennings out of her second seat. I know the Wiz says her doesn’t pay attention to such things, but there is a definite pecking order. Reinhart needs to step up in competition
My BFF, Cassie Scerbo notched her four straight win since joining Front Street. She could well be the best flyweight in the stable. . It would be interesting to see what would happen in an inter-stable bout between Scerbo and Stewart. It won’t happen, but Scerbo is the type of fighter that Stewart has lived off. She is four inches smaller. Sorry, I’m not supposed to say anything negative about Stewart
Perry had a fight against Bock. I’m prevented in saying anything negative about Perry, so I will say nothing at all
Mudd and McMann both looked good in their bouts. Both have had less then ten bouts and are quite promising. Of the two, McMann looks to be ready to move up in competition
O & E HISTORY IS MADE AT NIGHT
The first two bouts of the night involved to rookies both of whom won their second fight with no losses. Iseman beat Orrantia in five and Cowan defeated Weaning in seven. Of the two, Cowan had the toughest opponent. The two will probably never meet since Iseman is a flyweight and Cowan, who is much larger and is a bantam. It’s going to be a tough ride for both since they are in divisions well stacked with good fighters. Expect Orrantia to get more bouts. She has become a go-to for a win. She now has lost nine of her last eleven
Camilla Mendes knocked out Jenna Louise Coleman in six. Coleman looks to be faltering as she has now lost four of her last five.
Olivia Holt was heavily favored in her bout with Maisie Williams and did not disappoint coming out with a KO3
Now, if you paid admission or for the PPV to be streamed, you can forget about the first four fights. The final and headline bout between Hannah Ferguson and Tahnee Atkinson was worth the price paid. It was a great fight. Both went down. Both were beaten stupid and both ended with both fighting topless. Ferguson won the fight with a KO with two seconds to go in the tenth to take the best of seven. This isn’t going to be the last bout between these two. It has the potential to go the route of the infamous Theron rivalries with Gena Lee Nolin 17 bouts. Cat Bell 17 bouts and Jennifer Garner 15 bouts. Despite the numerous rivalries involving Kate Upton and some lightweights, I think this is the best rivalry going today
