America Ferrera vs. Lacey Chabert

This bout was held at an exclusive West Coast arena for the holiday. Many celebrities boxed or attended the fight card.
Ferrera was boxing for the first time in 3 years while Lacey was a recent signing to GBS. But things were not rosy for Chabert as her last 2 bouts had her laying on the canvas in defeat.
Throughout the first 4 rounds, Lacey won 3 of them. She was ahead on the scorecards and seemed to be in control of the bout. But America had won a close round in the second and lost a close one in the third. So she was not going away.
The 5th saw Lacey again measuring her punches and counters as Ferrera seem to come out slugging. Chabert had to defend but in the opening minutes of the round she was jabbing and crossing Ferrera’s face and ribs. But the third minute changed the round and fight. America slipped in a right hook to Lacey’s face before she could throw her right jab to her face. That hook froze Chabert as Ferrera threw a left uppercut and right cross next. Lacey was in trouble and America added on with another uppercut and Lacey went down. She rose by the count of 7 but the bell rang ending the round.
The start of the fifth saw Chabert was weaker thanks to the knockdown and Ferrera’s leather work. America needed no initiative and hit Lacey with a left cross on her face. She has her backing up and covering. A huge right hook to Chabert’s solar plexus adds to her pain and then another right uppercut to her now unprotected face. AND LACEY GOES DOWN! America moved to a neutral corner and starts celebrating. Chabert did not move during the count.
Ferrera would have her glove raised as Chabert was helped back to her corner. This was not looking good for Lacey. After the bout, America talked about her upset knockout win and wanting to get back in the ring for more bouts.
