BEFORE
A.J.COOK is first at the podium
“When I broke into the FCBA back in 2007, Charlize was already a superstar. All the girls breaking in then wanted to fight her. If you beat her, it was huge. Your career in the FCBA was almost guaranteed. Even if you just gave her a good fight, it was a boost to your career. I made several attempts to get a fight with her, but never head anything back. Now ten years later, I get the fight that I wanted back in 2007 and I am going to make the most of it
CHARLIZE;
“A.J. Is probably correct, I just don’t know. 2007 was one of those crazy times where management put me into a tournament where I no choice of who I fought or when. I was fighting a bantam one week and a welter the next. I was never told if someone wanted to challenge me, I was just told who my next opponent was about week before the bout. That was the year of the Victoria’s Secret Body Saddle Tournament That was rough and that led to the best of seven between Jennifer and me. A.J. I’m sorry you didn’t get a bout then, but you probably woundn’t have done any better than you are going to do tonight.”
THE BOUT Cook enters the ring in a maroon bikini with her in pigtails. Charlize is back in cream colored bikini, her hair now cut short in a blonde bob framing her face. She is barefooted
R 1 Charlize quickly out to the center of the ring. She lands a jab to Cook’s face, then another and another driving Cook back into her corner. Theron is slow in following up and is met the a right-left to her chest that stops her in her tracks. The two then start punching away. Cook is getting the better of it, out-punchingTheron and driving Theron back into the center of the ring. Theron breaks the action, stepping back and then moving around Cook who stays in the center carefully watching her opponent. Theron then lunges in with a right to the head. Cook reponds with a left-right to the body and then a right hook to the chin and Theron backs off. Cook not moving much, conserving energy while Charlize is in almost constant motion. Theron attacks again with that right to Cook’s jaw, but is stopped as Cook lands straight rights and lefts to Theron’s body and then she lands a right uppercut to Theron’s chin buckling her legs and sending her off balance back into the ropes. Cook pounces with the pair of punches into Theron’s side just above her bikini. Charlize groans in pain and then eats a Cook uppercut followed by a left and right cross. A Theron lands a right ot Cook’s head while Cook reponds ripping a pair straight right and lefts to Therons body and another right flush on the chin but Golden Goddess is still standing at the bell
Round two Cook knows she hurt Charlize and wants to follow up and finish the Hall of Fame fighter in this round. She moves in quickly with a left to the head and then unleashes a magnificent right cross. a fight ender, but Charlize manages to lean back and the punch misses by an inch. Theron’s right is already on its way and lands of Cooks left cheek knocking her back a couple steps. Theron then steps into Cook with pair of quick rights to the body, a left to the chin and then back down to the body, Theron lands a couple jabs to Cooks jaw that send Cook back into the ropes. Charlize is in no hurry. She stays in close. A right uppercut snaps Cook’s head back Theron pounds rights and lefts to the body and chest Cook is looking to be in a bad way. Cook try's to fight but Theron is in close She can’t get any power behind her punches Charlize continues to work on the body as Cook is now breathing hard. She’s trying to last the round. No offense coming from Cook who is keeping her hands up protecting her head. She can’t take much more, but the bell mercifully sounds. A staggers back to her corner as the steely eyed Theron watches
Round Three Theron’s corner telling her to end it, Charlize nods and moves quickly at the bell and catches Cook, who hasn’t recovered from the previous round, close to her corner. A vicious right cross send Cook staggering along the ropes. Theron follows with another right to Cook’s left ear, and then another. A left to the solar plexus and a hard right to the jaw. Cook is still on her feet her eyes glazed. An overhand right crashes into Cook’s jaw, followed by another left to Cook’s right ear. Cook is in ropes. She looks like she is out on her feet. Charlize turns to the referee, saying “you going to stop it?” He shakes his head no and waves her back in Theron steps in and lifts the drooping Cook up and slams a right into her stomach, turns and walks back to her corner as Cook slides down to her knees and pitches forward, her face in the sand. Charlize watches the count from her corner with no emotion. The ref counts, one..two..three..four, Cook hasn’t moved and the ref wave’s the fight over.
AFTER Theron stays in her corner watching Cook being worked on. When she finally is taken to her stool, Charlze walks over. She knows what Cook is feeling. She’s been there more than twice. She bends down, pats Cook on the head, says something to her and give her a hug and leaves the ring smiling and acknowledging the cheers of the crowd
