ASHLEY BENSON VS JOEY KING

Before: “I really loved my win over Victoria Justice,” Joey King tells the assembled crowd at the pre-PPV press conference. “I can’t wait to do the same to Ashley here. Let’s face it, Benzo is a fading fighter. I am surprised the Punchers just don’t sign her to be their Stable Sparring Partner so she won’t have to embarrass them or herself any further.”
Ashley scowling: “I heard you had a mouth on you. Let me tell you, kid, only my friends get to call me ‘Benzo’ and you’re certainly not one of them! I like beating down rookies. I did it to Halston Sage and I want to do it to you too!”
“Oh, yeah, the fight that broke your 5 fight losing streak. Get ready to start another after I take you down!” Joey retorts defiantly.
Two are getting chest to chest. FCBA Security with memories of how Joey and Natalie Alyn Lind got into it, are in the wings ready to move. However Ashley and Joey settle for some chest bumping and the walk off with confident grins on their faces.
Fight night finds Ashley Benson in her favorite red hot one piece swimsuit with white gloves and boots (red laces). Ashley’s hair is in a simple ponytail. Joey in a blue halter top bikini with black gloves and boots, blue laces. Joey’s short hair is loose, but wetted down. Two meet in the ring. Chest bumping does not please referee who lectures both and then proceeds with his instructions. Curt tap of the glove and the fighters go to their corners. The bell sounds….
R1: Joey and Ashley move forward briskly and start exchanging leather at mid ring. Mostly probing stuff at first, but then Joey moves the pace up with quick chip shots off Ashley’s chin. Ashley stung by these blows, lashes back with shots aimed at Joey’s head. Joey ducks or blunts most of these, Then Joey swings back with a deep shot into Ashley’s belly. Ashley not expecting it, jackknifes forward with a gurgle of pain. Joey then brings strong uppercuts right and left to Benzo’s chin. Ashley falls back, trying to straighten up as Joey fires more hooks into her belly. Ashley finally manages to establish some stability by using her jab to stall Joey’s advance. Time runs out as Joey is circling in search of fresh openings. Opening round to Joey King wide.
R2: Joey going after Ashley to the body again this round. However Ashley seems better braced against these blows and she’s launches her own counter hooks into Joey’s torso. Now the two really go at each other’s body with intensity. Bellies, ribs and breasts come under heavy shelling, but the two young fighters are hanging in with determination. Then Ashley pops a quick uppercut into Joey’s chin. Joey’s head snaps back and her legs get rubbery. Now Ashley tries to follow up with a new wave of hooks to Joey’s belly and rib cage. Joey falls back but she’s lashing out at Ashley to the juggs and this manages to slow Ashley down. Two are still banging away to the body as the round ends. It is a close round, but judges give it to Ashley Benson by a narrow margin.
R3: Joey hurrying forward at the opening bell. She looks to be trying to regain momentum in the bout and goes for Ashley’s jaw. Ashley turns her shoulder to block the incoming then turns back with a smashing right of her into Joey’s jaw. Joey goes lurching to one side and Ashley moves with her, going for the head with her follow up until she’s got Joey with her gloves up high to protect her ringing head. Then Ashley shifts to a new attack on Joey King to the body. Joey getting worked over hard and hunches forward to protect her aching abs. Ashley then tries banging her gloves between Joeys mitts to get at her face. Joey holds Ashley off, but she is bottled up as far as offense goes. Ashley wins round wide as the bell sounds.
R4: Joey stubbornly attacking again as the 4th Round commences. This time Joey goes to the body from the outset. She’s got power in these punches and you can see the jolts go through Ashley’s body as they land. Joey starts to drive Ashley back, but Ashley then rallies with a quick right/left to the chin and jaw that knocks Joey back. Ashley then advances behind a body attack of her own. Joey retreating, but then swings to one side and stuns Ashley with a crunching right to the jaw. Joey then quickly attacks to the body and again drives Ashley back. Ashley again rallies with body counters of her own and the rounds ends with the two of them toe to toe exchanging belly hooks. Referee jumps in to stop the havoc. Ashley and Joey both dripping with sweat, panting hard and looking windblown. They both have to take a moment before moving back to their corners. It’s another close round, but this time it is Joey King who edges out Ashley Benson on the judges’ cards.
R5: Corner crews for Ashley and Joey kept busy this during the break, but they were able to get their fighters out and moving at a good pace at the bell. Joey moved forward faster once she caught site of the approaching Ashley. Joey leaped forward trying to bring an airborne right down onto Ashley’s face. It was a bold move, but, unfortunately for Joey, Ashley turned away and blocked Joeys body with her shoulder. Joey’s punch sailed over Ashley’s head and then the block sent her stumbling backwards. At this vulnerable moment for Joey King, Ashley Benson RAMMED a right uppercut into Joey’s chin. Joey was knocked off her feet and THROWN to the canvas. Ashley retreated to the neutral corner as the referee moved in. Joey pushed herself into a sitting position and looked around with a foggy look. Then she realized the official standing over her was counting and she struggled to her feet, breaking the count at “EIGHT!” Referee looks a Joey doubtfully, but Joey insists she can continue. Referee waves Ashley back in. Joey actually moves forward and attacks the incoming Benzo. Sharp exchange of body punches and this quickly turns into another toe to toe belly busting duel. However Joey can’t take the leather Ashley is slamming into her abs. Joey folding up, backing away as Ashley attacks with shark-like ferocity. Joey is driven in the ropes, She tries to get her gloves up, but Ashley blasts her with a crushing right to the jaw. Joey wilting against the ropes as Ashley pours on the rights and lefts to smash the helpless Joey’s head from one side to the other. AND THE REF JUMPS IN. Official cradles the defenseless Joey to safety as Ashley raises her right arm in victory!
THE WINNER ASHLEY BENSON DEFEATS JOEY KING TKO5!
After: “She thought she could beat me, but look at her now,” Ashley Benson gloats as a defeated Joey King has to be helped to her corner. “I suppose I could wait around and walk her or something, but I made my point with my mitts here!”
Not surprisingly, Joey King has no comment on the bout, though Emilia Empresses’ source assure fans that no serious harm has come to her.
Very welcome win for Ashley Benson and she looked very dominate at the end. Painful disappointment for Joey King who may have been too aggressive which allowed Ashley to seize opportunities to strike back. Fun fight while it lasted, though, and fan should be curious to see if Ashley can build some consistent success from this fight and Joey can bounce back from her loss.
