Before: Put up or shutup time for Carpenter at welter—curvy brunette maintains she’ll look good against the bigger (and bigger-swinging) beauties at the weight—now’s her chance.
“Not to denigrate Victoria,” Charisma says in prefight, “but she’s tailor-made for me in a way Nikki Visser isn’t. I think Silvestedt probably beats Nikki by the way, but against me, I think her power and commitment on her punches will backfire. I’m going to lay my traos, walk her in, and eat her up—poor Vicki won’t know what hit her!”
Silvestedt with a lot of European round, thought to be an underrated bombshell Stateside—she’s anxious to prove a thing or two herself. “Charisma Carpenter was a great champion,” Vicki acknowledges. “battering her will be hgue for me. I feel I am too big and strong for Charisma—as curvy as she is—she’s still just a jumped up bantam who needs a good beating.

Carpenter adept at taking the edge off incoming—she’s being outworked, but her own well-placed shots are cleaner, more hurtful—she’s nipping and tucking in under Silvestedt’s arms to work those ribs early. Hard to score—Vicki with positional control, seemingly all over Carpenter and out-tossing her by a wide margin; CC cute, beguiling on defnece, and very accurate out of the pocket.
R2,3,4,5: Mirror image rounds—Carpenter drawing Victoria to ropes, then getting cute—brunette slipping, rolling, bending, shifting to blunt Vicki’s big bombs, even stepping on Vicki’s foot on occasion. Charisma so short, precise with her punching—bending side to side to pull taut lefts and rights in carving swats against Silvy’s ribs; swiping squeegee punches across Silvstedt’s jugs; tidying up Vicky’s paunch little kneading one0twos. But Vicki unfazed, standing right there and getting off—she’s more ponderous, loading up and not landing quite as flus, but she IS making a dent. CC shivering, cringing from right hands that wedge in behind her left elbow at times; grunting as Silvy pushes in and mugs jug with sexy rolling shoulder-shrugs. Knowledgeable judges and fight fans can see CC’s fighting her fight and controlling things off the ropes—but Vicki’s scoring points on the cards by being the aggressor constantly bludgeoning away on Carpenter and pining Cjarimsa to the ropes. Close fight through 5.
R6: Carpenter starting to separate herself—those tucking, swiping body-shot counters starting to force Silvstedt to double-clutch, take deep breaths—blonde fanning on shots as CC digs to the body with exquisite efficiency. Carpenter bending low. Easing her shoulder into Vicki and nudging her off balance—blonde output starting to drop as Carpenter subtly messes with Vicki’s stance. Charisma’s output starting to creep up—she’s a little flashier with her hands now, busting Vicki to gut with sudden squalls, flurrying then sagging back into ropes to slip and roll the receipts. Every time it looks like Silvstedt might back off to regroup, maybe pump a jab or change the geometry of the fight—Carpenter cleverly pounds that big Playmate chest, scoring heavily to rack and infuriating her proud opponent, goading her to stay in and keep slugging.
R7: CC still chipping away—whittling at the waist, tanning the flanks, bumping the gut, mugging the jug. Silvstedt gritting her teeth, breathing hard—she’s being torn up downstairs, but she’s still game—riding her guard into Carpenter’s shoulders to unsettle brunette, shellacking her with thick, sheeting lefts and rights across the back/against the shoulders. Vicki doing yeomen’s work in Carpenter’s rack as beauties lay in for long, snug sequences shoulder to shoulder, punishing each other with shrugging jug-muggage, Carpenter willing to pay this price as her hands are craftier, moves slicker on the inside—she’s taking a robust breat-beating herself but getting the better of it through 7. Seeing discouragement in Vicki’s expression, Carpenter chimes in with “Quicksand baby—you’re sinking!” after the bell. Unnerving her blonde foe as they separate.
R8: Silvy had options earlier in the night—could have take this thing outside, coaxed Carpenter to midring—but now it’s too late. Blonde ashen faced, hollow eyed: the vicious caress of brunette body punches starting to pay compound interest this late the fight. Silvy forced to lay in, put weight on Charisma Carpenter so slick and supple with her back to ropes, bedeviling Vicki, chewing her up. CC dips left, tucking her right hand in behind Vicki’s left elbow. CC dips right, clouts Vicki’s chin a swipe left hook. CC ducks, rolls her torso under clubbing Silvestedt shots, then comes up out of the crouch with biting hook onna chops; tight right onna cheek; swiping left across jug, twisting and covering up on her right side (right at her cheek, left under her chin, elbows in tight) to slip the receipts. Silvstedt open-mouthed at the bell, staring—her punches have lost zip, andher buttocks wobble sadly in shopworn trunks enroute to her corner. Frustrated, blonde berates her corner: “I’m hurting…DO something!”
R9: Vicki plods in, bodies up, tries to push and punch—CC riding it out on the ropes with adroit little dips and slips: right hand under her chin, left across her body. Carpenter using her shoulders on Vicki, bumping and nudging, then twisting to tuck home hurtful swats across the waist, ribs, jug; poor Vicki cringing, slowing as creeping paralysis spreads through her frame. Big blonde just pushing punches now—no snap: she’s SO tired, weary from the constant touch of Charisma’s fists upon her torso. Working out of the crouch, CC lights Vicki up the left uppercut, then bobs to get the right uppercut clip-clap on the chin—blonde staggers back on her heels, eyelashes fluttering. CC loose-limbed, eyes bright—she steps forward, lifts Vicki’s chin up another whippy left uppercut from the waist, then slides to the left: Silvstedt covering up forlorn, showing her right side to Charisma. Carpenter absolutely heartless as she chops her left hand down HARD above Vicki’s right hip—blonde cramping, buckling under the vicious shot—she’s frozen on the spot. Left uppercut curls in from well outside Vicki’s right shoulder, then sidearm right hand punches in past Vicki’s mitts to smite her right eye. Silvstedt turtling, covering up her head, turnd to her left and falls to all fours, belly heaving in and out with desperate pants. Carpenter strutting, covered in the sweat of her labours—she sashays to neutral corner, spreads her arms out on the top ropes as poor Vicki is counted out on her knees. KO9, Charisma Carpenter.
After: Silvstedt weepy, crippled—she’s helped to her stool and immediately administered to as Carpenter looks on pitiless. Savage, savage body work done tonight—Charisma just taking Vicki apart brick by brick, luring her in and systematically reducing her—even BSE stablemates were wincing ringside at Carpenter’s heartless work tonight.
“You don’t have to be 6 feet. 150 pounds to beat welterweights,” says a wear, but upbeat Carpenter, herself touched up hard to the arms and jugs tonight. “I can bet most of these girls with skill, usin the3ir size and strength against them, Victoria’s only ever faced brawn, she’s never faced brains before and it showed. I beat her between the ears efore I ever laid a hand on her body tonight.”
During Carpenter’s interview, mic actually picks up Silvestedt’s groans, sobs and shar intakes of breath from across the ring as her ribs are taped. Ouch.
