Boxing World posts their rankings quarterly. Tractorpull posts rankings every two months(we missed last month) On those months where we both post rankings, Tractorpull will post our rankings one week after Boxing World’s, so as not to interfere their visibility. Boxing World and Tractorpull use quite different criteria in our rankings. Boxing World generally goes by win/loss records. Tractorpull, while considering won/loss records, heavily modifies them by the quality of opposition fought. This results in considerable differences. For instance, Boxing World ranks Perry as the number five lightweight, while Tractorpull doesn’t rank her in the top ten. Boxing World considers JMD/DD in their rankings, while Tractorpull will not. Tractorpull also has a must fight every ninety days and third PPV rule. A fighter, who does not fight in that time since their last fight, will not be ranked. Boxing World has no such requirement. Boxing Worlds rankings go into great depth. Tractorpull stops at ten and only in the lightweight and welters. Boxing Worlds rankings are extremely useful in match making. Tractorpull’s list is the fighters one needs to beat to get a title shot. Tractorpull often doesn’t rank the champion as the best. Tractorpull’s rankings are subject to more criticism than Boxing Worlds since won and loss records can’t be disputed. The quality of opposition can
LIGHTWEIGHTS
1. ANILLELA SAGRA Combination of her wins and others losses
2. MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD Lost to Sagra then beat Jenner
3 KENDALL JENNER. Loss to Winstead cost her the number one slot
4 TAYLOR SWIFT Retained her title with wins over Ambrosio and Ren
5 EMILY DIDONATO Won over Palicki and Kerr but lost to Upton, a welter
6 COURTNEY TAILOR Jumps into the rankings with wins over Rohrbach and
Gibbs
7 AlEXIS REN Beat Lima but lost a title fight
8 YVONNE STRAHOVSKI Upset loss to Gonzalez cost her six spots
9 AMANDA CERNY Enters the ranking for the first time with wins over Ambrosio and Lima
10 ODETTE YUSTMAN Beat Cole and Gonzalez then lost to Jenner. She must fight this month or drop out
WHO IS OUT
KATY PERRY Poor competition
GEMMA ARTERTON Poor competition
ADRIANA LIMA Lost her last two. I think she is going to the downside
ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO Three straight losses cost her
WELTERWEIGHTS
My opinion of the Welters remains pessimistic
1. AMANDA RIGHETTI. No need to justify this ranking
2. HILARY RHODA Won six of seven with only loss being to Righetti
3 KATE UPTON Remained in the top tier by beating Flair
4. HANNAH FERGUSON Finally fought a conventional bout beating Bock
5 CAMILLE KOSTEK Beat Freeman and has beaten T. Atkinson this year
6, BROOKLYN DECKER She has a winning year. That’s about all I can say
7 TAHNEE ATKINSON Has losing record to other ranked fighters. Need ten
8 BO KRSMANOVIC Has a 3-2 record for the year, but two of her wins were over less than impressive opponents. Need ten
9 JENNIFER LAWRENCE We are stretching it here. She is 3-3 for the year with one loss being to a lightweight and one to a bantam. Need ten
10 BEHATI PRINSLOO She’s 4-3 for the year, but has lost her last two. The loss to Moore hurt
