Recently, we've been trying some new things with our stable. With Emily VanCamp taking an opportunity at lightweight and Demi Lovato taking some personal time to address some issues of her own, we have had a sudden and unexpected void at bantamweight. We hope to have Demi back with us in the near future and will welcome her back with open arms when she is ready, but in the meantime, we need a promising bantamweight to keep things busy. We definitely took some time to examine all of our options and there are so many promising bantamweight fighters, but in the end, we decided that there would be no better option than Evangeline Lilly.
Evangeline Lilly has been an amazing force at bantamweight for many, many years. We'd like to take a moment to give full credit to Floydian Boxing and Bonzo of course for making this signing and giving her so many opportunities to prove herself, which she has done over and over. Evangeline has reached the top of the mountain a total of six (6) times in her career, holding the bantamweight belt and we feel that she has another run in her. More importantly, she is on the cusp of going to the Hall of Fame if she can continue on her current pace and is only 23 fights short of the required 100 fight threshold. We would like nothing better than to keep her active and ensure that she gets to where she deserves to be to reward her place in FCBA history. We realize it'll be a tough road ahead, but if anybody is capable of it, we believe in Evangeline and will be there to support her every step of the way.
We'd like to take this opportunity, not exactly shared by everybody on our roster, but for the most part, to extend a warm welcome to the one and only Evangeline Lilly to the roster of Lookout! Boxing.
Lookout! Boxing's Newest Bantamweight and we couldn't be happier about it!

Great signing for Lookout and glad to see Evangeline getting a new home! We are definitely fans and were actually considering offering her a contract but eventually decided 2 Bantams at around Lilly's age are enough for now. Regardless, we wish her the best and hope to see her around for at least a few more years! P.S - I'm hearing our Katheryn may just want to test herself in the near future against one of the best the league has to offer at her age range. To be continued.

Lilly’s admittance into the Hall OF Fame is going to be iffy. At present she was a win ratio of 60%, exactly the minimum needed to get into the Hall. Over the last six years however, her win ratio had declined to 44%. She will have to win 14 of the next 23. We will be closely watching her fights to see if she is being fed easy fights and if so we will not count those wins.

Of course, as Evangeline Lilly's former stable, we're thrilled to see her find a new home in such a fantastic stable! We wish her all the best in her quest to reach the hall of fame, and in all her future endeavours - I'm sure she'll be a worthy addition to the Lookout group of fighters.

Hmmm... having trouble in Paradise? This would have never happened on my watch! Guess they don't miss me there anymore!Of course we miss you Nina and of course, you would've been a very stabilizing influence for our bantams. We stand by our decision to trade you to what we felt would be a better situation with you in the Lioness Club of America. To be fair, we did call over to ask about the possibility of Nina coming back and there was a lot of laughter on the other end. Then, a dial tone. I don't know who it was on the other end, but sounded suspiciously like Jessica Lowndes.

I think you should be very happy with the bantams that you do have and they are awesome. We hope Evangeline is around for at least a few more years and of course, we'd be happy to take on Katheryn, Jessica or even show girls like Bella just how it's done at bantamweight. We, of course, would be honored and will look forward to working with you here in the near future!!

We don't know whether she'll be successful in getting to the Hall of Fame, but we are going to do our best to keep her active and successful as we can. We couldn't be happier to add her to our stable and knowing that we have your support means the world to us! Thank you very much.

If you think we would ever give one of our fighters easy fights, especially as we want to make sure she's Hall of Fame worthy, you don't seem to know our stable very well. But, I will state that it's a very slippery slope to start counting which wins are acceptable and which aren't. I do think it's important to make sure a fighter has important wins on her roster before getting into the Hall of Fame, but that would be like disqualifying an NFL player from the Hall of Fame just because they happen to play in the same division the Cleveland Browns are in. You can't take away their wins just because you don't feel like they're a quality team, because it's not their fault.

We are well aware of the schedule that Lookout members fight so we have little concern about the “easy fights” In fact, we wouldn’t have thought of opponents had the Hall not been mentioned. Certainly a fight now and then against a lower tier fighter is justified We have become concerned that is entirely possible for a fighter could meet the qualifications to enter the Hall Of Fame by fighting 2nd and 3rd tier fighters 95% of the time. Long winning streaks are happening now. A few are against good opponents, but most are almost entirely against fighters with losing records. Most of those winning streaks are not accIdental and are entirely in the control of the manager who picks the opponents Upsets are actually rare. We can overlook an occasional fight against a fighter rated at 60 or below but a constant steam of those types of opponents makes a mockery of the Hall and an insult to all who are already there. We are going to have to define what we mean so everyone understands our position The quality of opponents being considered is used all the time. The top 25 college football and basketball teams and tennis rankings are an example Of course they are used the FCBA rankings. Tractorpull is and has been controversial and as for as the Hall is concerned, we have already banned one fighter from the Hall because of illegal blows being constantly being used to win fights, a habit that has fortunately disappeared. We don’t anticipate banning anyone else

Since TP mentioned tennis we can only say the bonus points in pro tennis rankings are GONE for some time already. The last HoF update happened in May 2017 and not much has changed since with Vanessa Hudgens being the closest one other than Righetti/Hayden/Carter which were on the brink and basically had to do nothing to reach the Hall. However with TP not counting JMD fights, Hudgens' HoF quest is very much delayed. She probably won't become eligible for the next 24 months if not more.

We don’t anticipate banning anyone else Of course, we completely understand and support the concerns. There is NO argument from us on that as there are two aspects, in my mind, on how to get into the Hall of Fame. Not only do you need to meet the requirements (at least 100 fights and a 60 percent winning percentage), but it's about HOW you get in. There need to be quality fights on your resume and nobody, especially not us or with Evangeline, want her to "back" into the Hall of Fame. We want her to enter the Hall of Fame, if she's deserving, on a high note and will work to make sure that she maintains a high level of competition going forward and of course, as you're considering any fighter who is entering the Hall of Fame, we can understand placing a certain level of attention on the quality of opponents. If you're going to be joining some of the legends of the sport, you better be worthy and we'll support any effort to make sure that the Hall of Fame is reserved for the best in league history.
